My Favorite Game Followed Me!

Anton didn’t care what others thought of him. He had to admit that he was still quite immature and found amusement in things that others would consider childish. His otaku hobbies alone were already questionable to some. The only thing he had managed to avoid was collecting action figures.

In truth, if he had access to things from Earth, his room in the Rose Manor would probably already be filled with a large collection of action figures and toy figurines of various sizes from various anime and movies. He would probably also have an enormous collection of books, manga, and manhwa.

The only excuse he could use was that he was still a young man and was entitled to enjoy childish things, even considering his actual age.

Soon, Paul, Eric, and some of the other young people from the ship found him. They had probably heard rumors about a crazy wizard selling wands for copper coins. The plaza filled with merchants from the ship was still closed. Based on what Anton had overheard, the market area where the ship’s merchants would set up their stalls would open in another hour.

“Where did these wands come from?” Eric asked when he saw Anton selling a bunch of wands.

“I made them.”

“Are they really just toy wands? What do they do?” Paul asked.

“It says on the sign I made. They shoot water arrows. The amount of water is not large, and the pressure is not strong. Anyone hit by the water arrow from the toy wand would just feel like someone splashed water on them. You can all try one if you want,” Anton replied.

Paul picked up a toy wand from the table. After Anton explained how it worked, which only required pressing a button, Paul aimed it at Eric. Soon, Eric was covered in water.

Angered, Eric grabbed a wand from the table and started shooting at Paul in retaliation.

“Hey! Those are for kids ten years old and below!” Anton complained.

Paul and Eric ignored him, and soon a battle between the two young men broke out, with the others cheering them on. After a few minutes, both Paul and Eric were soaked like drowned rats. Because of that, the two had to return to their room on the ship to change clothes.

Soon, the marketplace opened, and many locals entered the area. It was inevitable that some of them would bring their children. Eventually, some of the locals noticed Anton’s stall, probably because a group of young men and women had gathered around it.

“A wand for one copper coin?” one man asked after reading Anton’s sign.

“Yes. But only children aged ten years old and below can buy one, and each child can only get a single toy wand,” Anton said.

The man became curious. The fact that Anton was allowed to open a stall without the ship’s management stopping him meant that his products were legitimate.

“Why only one copper coin?” the man asked.

“I’m not selling these to earn coins. I’m selling them to gain goodwill from the people of this island,” Anton simply replied.

The man was accompanied by his wife and child. He placed a copper coin on Anton’s table, and Anton gestured for him to take a wand.

“Please remember to read the details about the wand on my signboard,” Anton reminded him.

Anton’s sign explained the toy wands. They would release mild water arrows for entertainment purposes, and the water contained mild rejuvenating properties. It also stated that each wand could shoot around two hundred water arrows before being destroyed.

The man who purchased the wand pointed it at a nearby tree and pressed the button on the side. A water arrow immediately shot out toward the tree he was aiming at.

After that, the man pointed the wand at his own arm and pressed the button again. When he felt the mild impact of the water arrow, he finally handed the wand to his son, who was around eight or nine years old. The boy had been growing increasingly excited while watching his father test the toy.

The moment the child received the wand, he boldly pointed it at everyone nearby and pressed the button. The surrounding people immediately got wet and began complaining, but the child only laughed harder and continued waving the wand around as if he were a powerful Divine Rank wizard.

Afterward, the child ran off, probably to show his new toy to his friends. His parents could only sigh before continuing to visit the other stalls.

Soon, more local children arrived, and within several minutes, all of Anton’s toy wands had been sold.

The children who arrived afterward became disappointed when they learned there were no more wands available.

“If you want more wands, bring me wooden branches, and I’ll turn them into water wands. However, you still need to pay one copper coin for them,” Anton announced.

The children happily ran toward the trees to search for branches. Even the young people from the ship became interested in the wands.

“Why? They’re just toys,” Anton asked.

“We can hide them, and if we ever need drinking water, we can use them,” one of the young men replied.

Anton shrugged and told them they could also have a wand if they provided a branch and one copper coin. The young people from the ship quickly realized that what their friend had said was true—the wand could become a lifesaving item during emergencies. Because of that, they all ran off to find branches.

Before they got too far, Anton shouted after them that each person could only get one wand, and aside from them, only children ten years old and below were allowed to purchase one.

Soon, Paul and Eric returned.

“Why are the kids running around?” Eric asked.

“So are our friends,” Paul said with a surprised expression.

“The wands were sold out, so I told the kids that if they wanted their own wands, they needed to bring me branches. The others said they wanted to keep the wands as emergency sources of drinking water, but I told them they also had to follow the same rule and provide a branch and a copper coin,” Anton explained.

Soon, some of the children returned with branches, and Anton busied himself creating new toy wands.

Thankfully, he had already become familiar with the process, allowing him to create each wand in less than a minute. Whenever a child arrived with a branch, Anton would immediately transform it into a wand in front of them.

The first child who had purchased a wand earlier also returned with a branch.

“You already bought a wand,” Anton said.

“I kept using it, and it broke,” the child replied with a disappointed expression.

Since Anton didn’t want to leave the boy upset, he accepted the branch and created another wand for him. When the boy tried to give him another copper coin, Anton refused.

“You already paid me,” Anton said.

“That was for the first wand,” the boy replied.

“It doesn’t matter. Since you already paid once, that’s enough. Tell your friends that I can create a second or even a third wand for them as long as they have already paid for their first one, and I’m still here. Once I close my shop, I won’t make any more.”

The boy happily nodded and ran off to inform his friends about Anton’s rules.

“You know, Anton, you could actually earn a lot of coins from these wands. As Markus said, you could advertise them as water wands for drinking instead of toy wands,” Paul said.

“I have many ways to earn coins. I just want to spread some joy to the children here,” Anton simply replied.

He then explained to Paul, Eric, and the other young people with them about the magic items he had already created and how much he could earn by selling each one—especially the magic tablets.
