Eternal Thief

Ace was getting slightly agitated as that phantom, who clearly belonged to the Ancestor of Profane Chains, had seen through the truth behind the Law of Sin.

The Law of Sin was the combination of the Seven Sins, making it a unique law that he acquired through the Law of Evil Occult with the help of the system. He wasn’t the one who created it, or he wouldn’t have struggled with the Law of Sin, which was a mere part of the God of Evil Occult’s Idol.

This also left Ace astounded and terrified of the entity known as the God of Evil Occult, who commands a Unique Law akin to the Law of Sin and Evil Occult!

Although Ace wasn’t worried about exposing the Law of Sin as long as the Ancestor of Profane Chains wouldn’t see through the Order of Darkness, which was, without any doubt, the most precious source of law within his arsenal.

However, he was still wary of that phantom because he was completely unaware of that latter’s true intention or what kind of legacy he had left behind.

Without any doubt, the Law Legacy was precious, and its worth couldn’t be measured, especially when just completing this law legacy’s trials made him comprehend so many mystic abilities of Sin Law and help him have a complete grip on it.

But this Law Legacy has a consciousness of the Ancestor of Profane Chains, which should be considered abnormal compared to the Law Legacy within the Prime Wealth Heavenly King Sect!

Furthermore, the Ancestor of Profane Chains didn’t seem to be a fallen expert from his previous speech and seemed to have left this Law Legacy behind, according to some well-elaborate plot.

As if sensing Ace’s agitation, the Ancestor of Profane Chains chuckled, “Heh, there’s no need to be anxious. What I meant by my previous words is that one of the primary rewards for clearing my trial was the enlightenment of merging all the Seven Lesser Sins into the Unique Law of Sin.

“However, you have already completed that step, which was out of my expectations. I’m not interested in how you acquired the comprehension of the Law of Sin, even without completing the Lesser Sins mystic abilities and their rules.

“Nonetheless, this made things very easy for me to seamlessly bestow my legacy and also add something extra with the remaining power, which was supposed to help you in completing the Unique Law.” The ancestor of Profane Chains spoke like an elder who was very pleased with his junior’s achievement.

Those words do bring some relief to Ace, but he didn’t dare to let his guard down. Nonetheless, he was very curious, and it was a rare chance to interact with an expert who had long transcended the boundaries of his current realm.

“Thank you for teaching, senior.” Ace sincerely thanked the phantom before he asked in a measured tone, “C-could senior please clarify doubts of this junior about what this sigil I obtained after completely comprehending the Law of Sin meant?”

The Ancestor of Profane Chains didn’t seem to mind Ace’s inquiry and seemed to be nodding in approval before replying, “I was already planning on telling you, even if you haven’t asked.

“Laws are limitless and profound; they have no limits just like the Universe. Remember, never place limits on Laws because just when you think you have reached the end of a law, a new peak will emerge.

“The reason we call the Unique Law ’Unique’ is because they are the combination of Lesser Laws that you called the Branch Laws in your realm. In contrast, Unique Laws could almost rival ’High Laws’, which you might know as the ’Mother Laws’, from which the Branch Laws originate.

“That’s why a Unique Law would have a ’unique sigil’ which is like an acknowledgment of the higher orders. However, this doesn’t mean the Unique Laws can rival the High Laws right from the get-go.

“One needs peerless talent and comprehension, not to mention time to unravel the mysteries of the Unique Laws, because Unique Laws are Law Paths that don’t belong to any Law Order.

“Unique Laws are diverted paths with limitless potential, yet they can also be the stagnate point that could end a cultivator’s journey forever, because once you walk the path of a Unique Law, you are on your own.

“The Law of Sin is a Unique Law which already has a creator, and the Law Order has already recognized it with its unique branches. You and I are merely following the path that the supreme entity has already carved.

“That’s why you were able to easily gain the sigil that represents the Unique Law of Sin, because it has already been recognized, or if it were a completely new Unique Law that had never appeared within this Universe, it would be a whole other story.

“That Unique Law Sigil can significantly amplify the Law of Sin when you use it, and if you comprehend the Law of Sin while summoning that sigil, you can comprehend the Law of Sin with half the effort and twice the result.

“Then there are also ’High Law Sigils’ which can only be gained after you have gained recognition directly from the ’High Laws’, which is even more difficult. Nonetheless, that is still far away from you, and once the time arrives, you’ll know more about the higher mysteries of the Laws.

“For now, you have already acquired something which shouldn’t exist in your realm, and this can be both helpful and disastrous to you.

“Helpful because now you can overwhelm anyone with laws without a Law Sigil.

“Disastrous because outside this space, using that sigil will bring the punishment from the Laws themselves for it, like a forbidden entity that shouldn’t exist within your dominion.

“That’s why you should be careful and only reveal your Law Sigil as a last resort while you are within this dominion, not to mention, you are not strong enough to handle a Law Sigil’s intent, and if you’re not careful, you’ll lose your life and be devoured by the Unique Law Sigil!” The Ancestor of Profane Chains’ tone was solemn towards the end as he gave Ace a stern warning.

Ace was also flabbergasted because the Ancestor of Profane Chains revealed so much information about the Laws just now, and he knew this knowledge was way beyond what he could come in contact with.

Even the system won’t reveal it to him right now, yet the Ancestor of Profane Chains had told him many things that could be greatly helpful to him, yet it could also be a disaster!
