Corpse Burier: I Can Nourish Corpse

Chapter 348: Chapter 187: Settling Shen Tu, Joining Wind and Cloud Immortal City

So it would be best to assign this matter to someone else.

Heihe, with an Upper Grade Dao Foundation and Top-Grade Spirit Root, and being the direct disciple of Pei Wuxing, the Lord of Wind and Cloud Immortal City, is quite suitable. Fate Technique Cultivators are not inherently skilled in combat; it’s only natural for someone like Heihe to kill his peer.

Heihe clearly understood his intentions and immediately replied, ”Rest assured, Fellow Daoist, I will bear responsibility for taking Yin Yang Dust’s life. Initially, I hesitated to act against Shen Tu, as I did not want to ruin our relationship with the Three Life Gates.

But now that I think about it, it was Shen Tu who first killed our Foundation Establishment Cultivators serving Wind and Cloud Immortal City. We sending someone to kill Shen Tu is perfectly reasonable, and not acting personally is already the greatest respect we can show! Yet they’ve planted spies within our Wind and Cloud Immortal City, even resorting to protecting Shen Tu with Fate Technique Cultivators. So what if I kill the Yin Yang Cultivator?”

”Fellow Daoist Heihe is indeed exceptional!”

Wen Jiu praised through Divine Sense Communication. As expected of a Golden Core True Inheritor, with Top-Grade Spirit Root and Upper Grade Dao Foundation, truly formidable.

Beyond that, adding the feat of killing a peer in cultivation would definitely be beneficial for Heihe.

Otherwise, Heihe wouldn’t have agreed so readily.

As for background, it seems Heihe doesn’t care at all; after all, which master’s background among Yin Yang Cultivators could be stronger than his?

Heihe laughed heartily, and at that moment, his relationship with Wen Jiu seemed to grow closer, ”It’s truly out of the ordinary for you to be willing to let me claim such a magnificent feat of killing a peer. I couldn’t compare to you, Fellow Daoist Li.”

After exchanging a couple of compliments, Wen Jiu spoke again without changing his stance due to Heihe’s friendliness, ”But to be safe, Fellow Daoist Heihe, it would be best for us to mutually establish a Silencing Spell.”

Heihe was silent for a few moments, but eventually nodded, ”That’s fine, thank you, Fellow Daoist Li.”

He had some hesitations initially, worried about the possible significant origins of the Yin Yang Cultivator, but thinking it over, if he could truly claim such a victory, he would gain more favor from his master and potentially surpass some of his fellow disciples.

Though achievements don’t necessarily equate to strength and there might be exposure of his intentions, it would certainly grant him more cultivation resources.

Overall, the benefits outweigh the risks.

After all, the Yin Yang Cultivator is a Soul Cultivator, not skilled in fighting, but possessing top-notch life-saving techniques and soul and fate techniques in the same realm. Few can boast of killing a Soul Cultivator of the same level.

A moment later, the two cast Silencing Spells on each other and discussed some tactics for the upcoming battle of the day.

Wen Jiu wanted Shen Tu dead but didn’t want others to know he crushed Shen Tu so easily, so he planned to have Heihe involved. To others, it would appear that with the aid of Heihe’s treasure talisman, he managed to kill Shen Tu.

This way, the task is accomplished and a good amount of strength is shown, as even though Shen Tu was obstructed by the treasure talisman, a peer Cultivator wouldn’t necessarily be able to kill him. As for Shen Tu’s actual strength, Wen Jiu also decided to keep it a secret.

After all, he only wanted a stable cultivation environment in the Little Demon Realm and didn’t seek to climb the ranks of Wind and Cloud Immortal City.

Heihe naturally agreed, as it was an achievement that, when spread, would boost his reputation and status among the disciples. Although it may bring unwanted attention, overall, the benefits outweigh the risks.

...

A few days later, Wen Jiu maneuvered the East Spring Undying Bone to fly two thousand miles over the mortal realm and enter the Far South.

Upon entering the Little Demon Realm, he returned to Lengxi Mountain and removed his clothing, reverting to his original appearance.

Even in front of Heihe, it would be difficult to discern him. Divine Sense Communication did have certain flaws, but surely they wouldn’t dig too deep, as Cultivators resort to Divine Sense Communication to avoid having their voices captured by Divine Sense or special techniques.

Afterwards, he only needed to continue acting a few more times in this manner, and surely Heihe wouldn’t suspect more.

Meanwhile, upon returning to the Little Demon Realm, Heihe immediately communicated with Daoist Wei, explaining that he didn’t send transmission earlier for fear of spies intercepting their communication and revealing their whereabouts.

Daoist Wei sighed in relief and praised Heihe’s actions, noting that while Heihe was bold, at times things hadn’t gone smoothly, such as when Heihe had immediately informed him of the spy’s presence.

That very day, it was discovered that Li Yue, the seventh disciple of the Lord of Wind and Cloud Immortal City, in the Middle Stage of Foundation Establishment, was dead in the Immortal City’s cultivation residence. The Gu Insect pierced his heart, shattering his soul, leaving no clues.

Daoist Wei thus deduced that the spy was Li Yue, since only a few of Heihe’s fellow disciples knew of his actions.

Li Yue was among them, and now, with his unexplained death, it nearly confirmed him as the spy.

Though not much was discovered, at least Heihe survived and returned safely to the Little Demon Realm.

For Daoist Wei, this was exceedingly good news.

When he learned that Heihe had killed a Fate Technique Soul Cultivator of the Middle Stage of Foundation Establishment, a Yin Yang Cultivator from the Three Life Gates, with the aid of the treasure talisman, he helped Li Mu to kill Shen Tu, Daoist Wei was overjoyed, and his anger towards the traitorous junior sibling subsided slightly.

”I didn’t expect that person didn’t flee; instead, he even aided you significantly.” Daoist Wei expressed through the Communication Stone with a hint of gratitude and surprise. In recent days, there had been no trace of Li Mu’s whereabouts, and he was almost certain Li Mu had fled.

Heihe replied, ”Li Mu is truly extraordinary; although Shen Tu was restrained by my treasure talisman for a while, killing Shen Tu, a Body Cultivator, was no easy task. Without using a Flying Corpse, he found the opportunity for a decisive strike... Senior Brother, Junior Brother did not misjudge him.”

”I indeed underestimated him; he does have some skills and can be of use.” Daoist Wei responded slowly, without doubting Heihe’s words. After all, Heihe’s task of dealing with Shen Tu was a life-or-death gamble.
