The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

”Greetings, everyone. It is I, your favourite goddess and interview, Blue Ivy. I will be your host for this monumental battle between our very own Warrior Rouni and the outspoken Renegade Hunter.”

Cheers rang out in the arena, and so did everywhere in both the Dark Space and the real world. The arena is large enough to hold one billion spectators. It is one of the many arenas that Heaven’s Court has built over the years.

It is a real place in the real world, but it has been digitally constructed inside the Dark Space. This way, when the battle is to test who is the best and not to see who ends up dead in the end, the virtual copy would be used.

Since Klaus and Rouni aren’t looking to kill each other for real, they would be using the Dark Space Version of the Heavens Arena.

Many are watching from home, but others choose to pay and be present in person.

Since Blue Ivy had interviewed both Klaus and Rouni, she was elected as the host for the battle.

”I know you are all ready to have some fun. Trust me, I do too. However, before we get on with that, I would like to point out that after the battle, win or lose, there is no need to become bitter.

It is just a battle, and in battles, one wins and the other loses. Do not use the outcome to cause trouble in both the Dark Space and the real world. Those who violate this will face severe punishment.

That said, I would like to introduce some dignitaries we have with us tonight.”

The camera moved to a VIP room where five people sat in luxury chairs. They are all Supremes.

”First is Supreme Elder Juo, one of the 14 Supreme Elders of the Warrior Tower. He is here today as a representative of the Warrior Tower.”

”The second is Supreme Hunter Mical. To the rest of the universe, we know him by a different name. His exploits are legendary, and in the Mission Hall, he is among the very few to have survived a Hell Mission.

Everyone, welcome the Doom Hunter.”

Just as the warriors present cheered for Supreme Elder Juo, the hunters also cheered for the Doom Hunter.

He is a legend among the hunters. He had been on three Hell Missions and came back alive. So he is both respected and admired by all. Even some warriors look up to him.

Every hunter wants to be like him.

”Next, we have Supreme Queen Mirabel from the Universe Bank. She came today to watch how excellent the younger generation has become and also to donate a sum of 400 billion Heaven Crystals and an invite to the Nine Heavens Universe Auction to the winner.”

There were cheers everywhere when people heard why Supreme Queen Mirabel came to watch this battle. It is as if she came to prove a point no one saw coming.

But since she came with a big bag, everyone is happy to see who will win and take home such a package.

”Next is Supreme Engineer Winnie from the Heaven’s Court. She is also the Headmistress of the Milky Way Engineering Department.

Just like Supreme Queen Mirabel, she also came with a gift. To the winner, she would personally allow them to enter her vault and select any weapon of their choice.”

This time, even the Supremes present at the scene were left in great shock.

”No need to be in shock, people. I merely want to spice things up a bit, so yes, the winner will have a chance to pick a weapon from my personal vault.”

She let a smile appear on her face, making her fellow Supremes look at her like she had gone mad. In fact, everyone who knew just what goes into creating SSS and SSS+ weapons was left stunned.

In the end, however, there was nothing they could do, and so Blue Ivy introduced the last person.

”And lastly, we have Supreme Scholar Demel from the Dark Space Company. He also came with a gift, and it is a one-time access pass to the Dark Space Techniques Sanctuary.

Whatever technique they can master while inside will be theirs to keep. This offer goes to both warriors, win or lose. Just that the inner will have access to a secret archive.”

At this point, everyone was left wondering why this battle was happening. Many legendary battles happen every day, but nobody pays much attention to them, as they are all focused on this one.

The rewards meant for the winner are just too much.

It was as if the five major organizations decided to show off their wealth.

”Of course, the loser will also receive gifts, but that will not be disclosed at this point. That said, I would like to invite you all to tonight’s battle between Warrior Rouni and the Renegade Hunter.”

After she waited for the cheers to die down, she turned to one entrance. ”Now, since we are all hungry for some battle, I would kindly and humbly invite the contestants to the stage.

The challenger will, of course, be first, so without further ado, let’s welcome Warrior Rouni to the stage.”

From the entrance, Rouni walked out, clad in black armor with two swords sheathed on his back. His steps were confident, a clear sign of someone who has faced many opponents and walked out the winner.

He held a modest smile on his face, arms behind his back, as he walked to the stage. He showed no sign that would suggest the cheers around him were having any effect on him. If anything, he seemed calmer than he should be.

However, nobody questioned that. That had always been his nature, so even if he was pretending not to be affected by all the cheers, nobody cared.

After he walked into the arena, Blue Ivy turned toward another entrance. ”Now, let’s welcome our next contestant, the Renegade Hunter, to the stage.”

For a second, nobody appeared. Then, a second later, red smoke came from the entrance, and from within, Klaus, with a huge smile on his face, walked out.

He was clad in red and black armor, his scythe resting on his shoulder, while a golden razor-sharp disc floated behind him.

His left hand rose and began waving to his fans as cheers filled the arena. One could tell the difference between him and Rouni merely by what he was doing. Unlike Rouni, who walked calmly into the arena, Klaus came in with a smoke effect.

By the time he arrived at his designated spot, everyone realized how carefree he is. While the warriors saw it as a stupid thing to do, the hunters were happy to have someone like Klaus within their ranks.

He is the perfect poster boy for the Mission Hall.

Klaus turned and looked at Rouni, who also held a calm gaze, but buried beneath it was a hunger to humiliate him for what he had said about him and also to make his father happy.

”Before we begin, do any of you have something to say to each other?” Blue Ivy turned to Rouni, but he shook his head. She then turned to Klaus, who nodded.

She handed the mic over to him, and with a small smile on his face, he said the most unexpected thing nobody was prepared for.

”I forgot to say last time, but I am also a fashion model. I have modeled a few times, and so I am open to offers. I do not have a manager yet, but my portfolio will be open to all soon.

That will be all. Thank you.”

There was silence everywhere; nobody had a clear understanding of just how shameless one person can be.
