Global Lords: My Species Can Mutate

Chapter 506: Chapter 501: Saintly Radiance, Gathering Storms

At this moment, Lin You felt an overwhelming sense of emotion.

After going through so many upheavals and twists, he finally accumulated enough faith for the upgrade and was about to take that critical step.

However, he didn’t immediately proceed with the upgrade.

Because there were many things to arrange beforehand before upgrading the territory.

After all, Tier Ten is different from before; the territory will undergo significant changes, and its nature will be completely different from before. Preparations must be made, or it will become unmanageable and chaotic by then.

Thus, Lin You quickly rode the Demon Ancestor Dragon away from the territory, soared over the central district of Yellow Sand City, and found Wei Gang, who was leading a patrol.

”Wei Gang, gather all the stewards and high-ranking officials and meet me in the conference hall.”

As soon as he spoke, the Demon Ancestor Dragon flew over the streets directly to the central conference hall and disappeared.

”Gather everyone?”

Wei Gang was shocked; it was the first time the Lord gave such an urgent order.

He dared not delay and immediately instructed his men, ”Go, immediately notify the stewards and chief clerks, as well as the heads of each area, and inform Elder Yue as well.”

”Yes!”

The men responded loudly, scattering in all directions.

Their urgency caught the attention of passing citizens, who stopped and watched with curiosity.

Soon.

In less than half an hour.

The entire high-ranking official team of Yellow Sand City gathered from various districts and, led by Xue Changgui and Wei Gang, hastened to the conference hall.

”Old Xue, what do you think the Lord urgently summoned us for?” Wei Gang couldn’t help asking as they walked.

”Wasn’t it you whom the Lord asked to gather everyone? Shouldn’t I be asking you this?” Xue Changgui glanced at him.

”I don’t know either, the Lord didn’t tell me anything, just to gather everyone,” Wei Gang replied with a bitter face.

”Anyway, let’s just get there first,” whispered Yue Daonan beside them.

Then they quickened their pace, soon arriving in the conference hall.

As soon as they crossed the door, they saw Lin You sitting at the head seat, checking the territory information.

”Greetings, Lord!”

”Salutations to the Lord!”

The high-ranking officials, led by Xue Changgui and others, all bowed to Lin You.

Those chief clerks and area heads who usually didn’t have the chance to see Lin You followed nervously, not daring to breathe loudly.

”You are here, please, have a seat.”

Lin You closed the interface and gestured to everyone to sit down.

”Thank you, Lord.”

Xue Changgui responded and then led the stewards to sit beside them. All the chief clerks and heads stood behind them.

Wei Gang led the city defense officials to the other side, with a large group of defense army commanders standing behind.

Yue Daonan and Xiao Congyun, as honored guest elders, sat beside Xue Changgui and Wei Gang, respectively.

Thus.

All civil and military high-ranking officials of Yellow Sand City were present, and the conference hall fell silent, everyone waiting for Lin You to speak.

After a while.

Lin You looked at Xue Changgui.

”Manager Xue, how long have you been with me?”

”In response to the Lord, since the day you arrived, it has been a year and six months,” Xue Changgui answered respectfully, gripping his palms in sweat.

For some reason, he felt that the Lord’s presence was more dignified today, as if he had become a different person.

”A year and six months already?” Lin You murmured, his gaze somewhat blurred.

He had been in Yellow Sand City for exactly a year and a half.

Time truly flies, making one sigh in amazement.

After a brief silence in the conference hall, Lin You continued, ”These days, thanks to everyone’s efforts, Yellow Sand City has been well-managed.”

After speaking, he glanced around at everyone.

”It’s nothing, nothing, it’s what we should do.”

”It’s thanks to your guidance, Lord, that we can do so well.”

”Exactly, we are just doing our duties.”

The stewards and commanders echoed, and the conference hall became lively.

”Alright, no need to flatter.” Lin You waved his hand, silencing everyone. ”I called you here today because I have very important matters to discuss, decisions that concern the transformation of Yellow Sand City.”

Transformation of Yellow Sand City?

Everyone felt a jolt inside, immediately collecting their thoughts, knowing the main event was about to unfold.

Then, Lin You’s gaze fell on Xue Changgui and Wei Gang again.

”You two have been with me from the start, and I have great confidence in your abilities, but I still want to ask, if I task you with managing a duchy’s key affairs, do you have the confidence to do it?”

Managing a duchy’s key affairs!?

Everyone’s expression changed, and Xue Changgui and Wei Gang, sitting at the head seat, suddenly thought of something, their breaths becoming rapid.

Having served in Yellow Sand City for so long, they had become exceedingly shrewd. They naturally caught the meaning in Lin You’s words immediately.

Even the two Tier Nine cultivators, Yue Daonan and Xiao Congyun, were astonished.

”Lord, do you mean to say, our Yellow Sand City will become a duchy?” Wei Gang swallowed and asked.

With these words, those who hadn’t thought it through finally reacted, and the hall instantly buzzed with excitement.
