Global Lords: My Species Can Mutate

It’s not particularly surprising to Lin You that there were once humans inside the Mechanical Empire.

After all, the signs along the way indicate that there were indeed traces of a living race having existed in this empire.

And this projection before him is evidently one of the researchers who once worked in this laboratory.

In other words.

Could he learn something about the events that happened in the Demon Plane from the projection?

With this in mind, Lin You grew curious.

However, before he could speak, the projection began to talk first.

“Hello, stranger. I am Balton, the director of the Mechanical AI Research Institute. As you can see, this is the comprehensive projection I specifically left behind.”

“The activation of this projection suggests that the Mechanical Empire is at a critical moment of life and death. If possible, I hope you can help us.”

After speaking, a hint of urgency appeared in the projection’s eyes.

But, after all, it was just a projection; it seemed unable to interact with Lin You as he had imagined, leaving him somewhat disappointed.

Yet the projection’s next sentence made his heart leap.

“Beneath our Mechanical Empire lies a monstrous heart that does not belong to this world. Now, that heart is about to awaken, disturbing the operation of the main brain, causing all machinery to lose control.”

“Once that heart truly awakens, not just the entire Mechanical Empire, but the entire Original Realm will be utterly destroyed. You must stop it!”

A heart?

There’s actually a heart suppressed beneath the Mechanical Empire?

Lin You was stunned.

If he had heard this news before, he might have been a bit perplexed, not understanding the significance.

But now it’s different.

After experiencing the large Secret Realm in the desert area and Mageon’s warning.

He knew that some terrifying entity was suppressed within the Demon Plane.

Could it be.

That heart is similar to the giant hand he saw before.

A part of that terrifying entity’s body!?

If that’s indeed the case, it would be a big deal.

If such a thing were to be released, not just the Demon Plane, but even their realm might be in jeopardy.

After all, it’s something that even the Seventy-Two Celestial Demons had to personally seal.

What he once thought was a simple regional task.

Unexpectedly harbored such a shocking secret behind it.

So the loss of control of the machines in the Mechanical Empire is caused by the heart being suppressed beneath it?

And what are the “main brain” and the “Original Realm” mentioned earlier?

Full of doubt, Lin You wanted to know more about these matters.

Unfortunately, whether due to energy depletion or some other mishap, the projection only left behind one simple sentence.

“The main brain is located in the deepest part of the empire. Please stop the uncontrolled machinery before they destroy it, or everything will be over!”

With that, the previously solid projection began to warp, emitting a rustling sound, like a TV signal cutting out.

Then it disappeared completely in front of Lin You.

“Is that it?”

Lin You stared blankly at the fading projection.

Although he had obtained a lot of useful information this time, he still felt things weren’t so simple.

Moreover, he didn’t know the exact location of the main brain now.

Was he supposed to protect the air?

“Forget it, better find some help first.”

Lin You wasn’t foolish; a matter concerning the realm was something he, a Tier Eight Lord, could not handle alone.

If things went wrong and that heart was really released.

He feared he wouldn’t be able to escape.

After all, when he caught just a glimpse of that giant hand before, he felt his blood surge and nearly fainted.

This heart likely isn’t any weaker than that.

With that thought, Lin You immediately opened his friend interface, attempting to send a message to Li Ke, the Emperor’s Son.

However, he received a notification they weren’t in the same area.

Following that.

He sent a message to Situ Jian, and this time it was successfully sent.

“Lin You? Are you also inside the Mechanical Empire?”

Within just half a minute, Situ Jian promptly replied.

“Yes, I’m in the outer area collecting Mechanical Cores. Where are you now?”

“I’m in the central area, advancing towards the control hub with Yan Lie and others. We should be there soon. Is something wrong?”

Already beginning the assault on the control hub?

Lin You was astonished, the efficiency was much faster than he had imagined.

It seemed these two had recently increased their strength rapidly.

However, given the urgency, he didn’t waste words, directly editing and sending a long message.

“I just received some information about the current mission…”

The message was lengthy, almost verbatim detailing everything he had just learned to Situ Jian.

Situ Jian, after a brief silence, quickly sent several messages back.

“Are you sure what you’re saying is true!?”

“Alright, I have someone here who’s about to return to the empire to report the situation; I’ll have him notify the great emperor immediately!”

Like Lin You, Situ Jian had also seen the large Secret Realm in the desert and, being the Emperor’s Son, had access to plenty of information.

So he was somewhat aware of such matters.

Upon learning that a terrifying entity was also suppressed beneath the Mechanical Empire.

He dared not waste any time, immediately arranging for someone to report back to the Changfeng Emperor, while asking Lin You for more details about the matter.

Lin You, of course, held nothing back, sharing everything he knew.

But he also understood.

The message wouldn’t reach the great emperor so quickly.

After all, even at the fastest speed, it would take over two hours for an ordinary Tier Eight Lord to return to the Holy Sanctuary from here.

Moreover, Situ Jian and the others were still in the center of the Mechanical Empire.

It would take even longer.

“Forget it, I might as well go take a look first.”

After roaming around the laboratory without finding anything useful, Lin You left the underground with Lingxi and the Mushroom Demon King, hurriedly heading towards the dock outside.

It was already afternoon by then.

There’s still some time before dark.

He’s not idle either, following the location given by Situ Jian, he continued to advance into the Mechanical Empire.

Meanwhile.

Beside a control center over a hundred kilometers away from the dock.

The team from the Primordial Realm and that from another realm happened to bump into each other.

“You trash from the True Spirit Realm, this control center was first claimed by us from the Primordial Realm, be smart and get lost!”

In the Primordial Realm team, Yan Lie, with a fiery temperament, stood at the forefront, glaring angrily at the opposition.

The other lords also had grim faces and did not look very pleased.

Indeed!

Before them appeared the team from the True Spirit Realm.

They hadn’t forgotten.

A while ago, it was the True Spirit Realm colluding with the Primordial Evil Realm, repeatedly trying to harm them from the Primordial Realm, even almost stripping them of their fortune.

As the saying goes, enemies meet with eyes full of rage.

Not directly resorting to violence was already their greatest endurance.

However.

Faced with Yan Lie’s curses, the people from the True Spirit Realm were unfazed.

Instead, they wore mocking expressions.

“Oh, so it’s the losers from the Primordial Realm, not staying put in your realm, coming here to die?”

“Calling them losers might be too flattering, if it wasn’t for their luck last time, they’d have likely been stripped of their fortune and turned into monsters.”

“Hahaha…”

The unrestrained laughter echoed into the ears of the Primordial Realm crowd.

Immediately, a few hot-headed individuals stood out, wanting to show them some color.

But they were quickly stopped by a middle-aged man at the front of the team.

“Don’t be impulsive, our target is the control center, no need to waste power on them.”

The man’s name was Luo Ting, considered the strongest and most venerable in the team.

In the entire continent, he could at least rank in the top 20 among Tier Eight.

Seeing him prevent it, the few lords instantly calmed down, glaring maliciously at the True Spirit Realm team.

The True Spirit Realm seemed to know holding out would lead nowhere, so someone acquainted with Luo Ting stepped forward.

“Luo Ting, since we concurrently set sights on this control center, let’s prove who’s better with a showdown, the team that fails first leaves, how about that?”

“Alright.” Luo Ting replied in a deep voice.

In that instant, the gunpowder tension between the two teams surged, exploding the atmosphere on the scene.

“Move!”

“Charge!”

A loud shout was heard twice.

The Primordial Realm and True Spirit Realm teams divided directly heading toward the control center in the distance, fiercely clashing with the mechanical army gathered around it.

Thus, a battle began.

…

On the other side.

Having left the container dock, Lin You swiftly crossed the freight avenue and entered deeper regions of the Mechanical Empire.

This area gathered many mechanical giant arms resembling large gorillas, all reaching SSS-level.

Watching from afar, the sense of oppression was intense.

Each mechanical giant arm had laser cannon ports equipped on their backs, boasting formidable long-range strike capabilities.

Any ordinary Tier Eight lord who came through here would likely choose to detour.

But upon arriving here, Lin You discovered.

A plaza in the distance was filled with lords.

Leading their species to gang up on a leader mechanical giant arm, glowing red and over thirty meters tall.

“Quick, it can’t hold up much longer, attack with full power!”

“Hold it, it mustn’t escape!”

“Unleash the burst! Quickly open burst!”

“Careful! It’s about to fire lasers!”

“It’s heading that way! Stop it quickly!”

A series of deafening blasts accompanied by the shouts and cries of the lords echoed over the plaza.

Under the relentless siege from the lords, the lord-level giant arm fought back fiercely.

Red lasers shot from its back, penetrating the bodies of a large number of species, destroying nearby buildings.

Its pair of giant steel arms pounded the ground crazily, emitting thunderous crashes.

As Lin You approached, an attribute interface appeared.

[Name: Mechanical Destroyer G1 Type (Lord)]

[Race: Mechanical]

[Level: Tier Eight (SSS-level)]

[Power: 5300 (+5300)]

[Constitution: 4750 (+4750)]

[Agility: 4750 (+4750)]

[Spirit: 4800 (+4800)]

[Skills: Laser, Shattering Earth, Gravity Field]

[Chaos: All Attributes increase by 100%]

[Introduction: Known for its power, the mech can obliterate all enemies, while possessing formidable long-range strike abilities, acclaimed as the Death God in warfare.]

Thankfully.

No overload skills.

Otherwise, no matter how many species these lords have, they probably couldn’t escape total annihilation.

Even so.

The attributes of this lord demon were exceptionally insane.

Especially power, which broke through the Tier Eight boundary, reaching a terrifying level of 5300.

It truly lived up to its name as Destroyer.

Seeing the Mechanical Destroyer gradually showing signs of defeat under the siege of lords’ species, covered in wounds.

Lin You did not hesitate, immediately leading the species up a tall building, summoning a cannon directly aiming at the Mechanical Destroyer’s weakness core.

Now the lord demon was completely surrounded by lords, it was basically impossible to snatch treasures.

But the Power of Origin and Mechanical Core, he would not hesitantly take away.
