National Awakening: My Left Eye Copies My Right Eye and Sublimates

143: There really are people who are not afraid of death! However, 270,000 points seemed like a lot.

In reality, it was still not enough to spend freely.

The higher the Rank of equipment Materials, the more expensive they were to exchange for points.

At the same time, there were many auxiliary items that Xia Qi would be able to use after reaching Rank 30 and completing his second transfer.

All these things required a large amount of points to exchange.

”It’s still far from enough. I need to find a way to earn more points.”

Xia Qi thought to himself, his gaze turning towards the stage of the Freshmen Ceremony.

Today, besides the regular ceremony procedures, there was also a Freshmen Challenge, which was an item that could earn points.

Soon, time flew by.

With the sound of a bell, the opening ceremony began.

On the originally empty podium, in the blink of an eye, a person appeared.

Xia Qi looked up and saw that he recognized this person.

”Hello, students, I am the Director of the Office of Academic Affairs at Shengjing University. You can call me Director Chang.”

”First of all, welcome everyone to Shengjing University.”

”Here, you will witness a vast world you have never seen before.”

”Presumably, all of you were Geniuses in various middle and high schools, and during the college entrance examination, you ranked among the top tens of thousands of candidates, with excellent results.”

”However, these achievements are a thing of the past. Now, you are just ordinary freshmen at Shengjing University.”

”In Shengjing, there is never a shortage of Geniuses; everything is judged by results.”

”Whether you are from an aristocratic family or a college entrance examination candidate, Shengjing University will, in the next few years, impart new skills and various survival methods to you.”

”Similarly, you must also complete the tasks arranged by the university.”

”Specific tasks will be arranged by your respective Instructors at that time. You only need to treat them seriously, as this will affect the resources you obtain in Shengjing.”

”Alright, finally, a brief summary.”

”The university is divided into ordinary students, academy-style students, and top-tier academy students.”

”Whether you remain an ordinary student or stand out among the many Geniuses to become a top-tier academy student depends entirely on your attitude.”

”Each level will enjoy different resource allocations, so students, strive to climb higher.”

”Only by standing higher can you see further.”

.....

Director Chang seemingly gave an impassioned speech.

In reality, the content he spoke about each year was the same.

In the air, behind the clouds and mist.

Several people stood in the air, looking down at the Freshmen Ceremony below.

”Old Chang, that guy, why doesn’t he even change his words? It’s the same every year!”

General Hu shook his head and said.

”Why don’t you go up and speak?”

Zhang Dongsheng was very annoyed with General Hu now; basically, whatever General Hu said, he would retort.

General Hu didn’t care, ”Alright, my appearance fee isn’t cheap. Tell the principal to prepare more.”

”Go, go, go, free labor, no money.”

Zhang Dongsheng rolled his eyes. He hadn’t even gotten a raise, so why should General Hu?

General Hu’s face instantly fell, ”No money to go up and speak for nothing. How come War God gets an appearance fee everywhere else, but a big place like Shengjing can’t afford it, is that right?”

Zhang Dongsheng heard this and didn’t want to bother with General Hu at all. He turned his head away and stopped talking.

The entire speech lasted about half an hour, and Director Chang even drank several sips of water in between.

In the end, he covered everything that needed to be said and everything that didn’t.

Anyway, regardless of whether these words were useful or not, he had said them, and if the principal asked later, he would have an explanation.

After finishing these verbose remarks, he changed the subject, ”Students, pay attention. According to Shengjing’s tradition, we will now proceed with the challenge session between new and old students.”

”Old students can pay points to initiate a challenge against new students.”

”New students can refuse, but if a new student wins, then the old student’s points will belong to the new student.”

”Of course, regardless of winning or losing, new students do not need to pay anything.”

As soon as these words came out, all the new students present were moved.

There was actually such a good thing.

They didn’t have to pay anything.

If they won, they could earn points.

It seemed like there was nothing to lose.

Xia Qi narrowed his eyes; he knew that the opportunity to earn points had arrived.

Soon, a group of old students walked onto the podium. There were both ordinary students and academy-style students. People from the top-tier academy would not participate, as it would be too bullying.

Among these people, there were quite a few skilled individuals; none of them were weak.

Xia Qi glanced over and found Li Pengfei from War God Academy prominently among them.

”Oh, this dog also came?”

A slight curve unconsciously appeared at the corner of his mouth. The past grievances between him and that idiot Li Pengfei had not yet been settled.

Was this delivering himself to his door?

In the high sky, General Hu disdainfully said, ”How boring. Every year they hold activities under the guise of challenges, but in reality, they just want to grind down the sharp edges of these new students. What’s the point?”

Zhang Dongsheng, however, did not think so, ”Why is it pointless? Grinding down their sharp edges helps these new students grow. Otherwise, they’ll all be ignorant of the immensity of heaven and earth, and when they go outside, it’ll be Shengjing’s reputation that’s lost.”

General Hu could understand this approach, and then he chuckled, ”I just want to see if anyone dares to challenge Xia Qi.”

Challenge Xia Qi?

Zhang Dongsheng’s expression changed, which was rare. ”To be fair, challenging Xia Qi is really courting death, except for the top-tier academy.”

He was the manager of the Home of Dungeons, so he naturally knew how terrifying Xia Qi’s current strength was.

His strength simply couldn’t be estimated by his Rank.

In the square, the new students were already eager to move.

How difficult it was to get points, they couldn’t be clearer.

Now, there was clearly a good opportunity to earn points, and whether they could seize it depended on themselves.

Any Genius would not think they were worse than others; this was human nature.

Soon, Director Chang also began to introduce the rules.

”Challenges will take place on a dedicated arena. New students and old students alike, their Ranks will be suppressed to the same level.”

”Attributes will also be balanced under the suppression of the Formation. Everyone doesn’t need to worry about the issue of strength disparity. The challenge is about talent and potential!”

”Furthermore, the Formation will protect your safety at all times. Once there is a fatal risk, the challenge will end directly.”

”The healers in the university are also ready. As long as you dare to fight, we guarantee you’ll be healthy and sound after the challenge.”

These words sounded very tempting, but Xia Qi always felt that Director Chang had ill intentions.

It gave him a sense of being subtly guided and coaxed into challenging.

However, from the apparent rules.

New students seemed to have no reason to refuse the challenge.

These rules, from all aspects, seemed to be very considerate of the new students.

The old students were actually overjoyed too.

Those in the know understood that they had accepted a mission to specifically educate these new students on how to behave.

With Director Chang’s command, the old students all began to move.

They all had their respective targets.

The top scorers from each province.

These self-important ’Geniuses’ were the best teaching material.

Li Pengfei’s smile was almost impossible to suppress.

He walked directly into the West River Province area, his gaze fixed on Xia Qi, his smile carrying a hint of madness.

”National College Entrance Examination top scorer Xia Qi, I challenge you!”
