Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 2207: Chapter 2208: The Strange Man in the Woods

It was exceedingly greedy, like a starving man who hadn’t had a meal in ages, opening its jaws to the utmost, sucking the flesh and blood of the corpse completely, even the blood mixed with soil on the ground was not spared.

The process was extremely fast, within just a few breaths, the corpse had been entirely swallowed.

As the corpse was consumed by its body, the aura of that ghostly entity remarkably grew stronger. It turned out that this being fed on corpses, extracting nutrients from them.

But no one could see this scene; as soon as the corpse was devoured completely, the ghostly entity sank back into the earth. A gentle wind swept past, rustling the fallen leaves, erasing all footprints upon them.

All traces vanished, as if no one had ever been here before.

...

Lin Chen, naturally unaware of what happened afterward, found himself about ten miles away, hidden in the shadows.

Nestled among the branches and leaves of the trees, like a seasoned hunter, his sharp gaze pierced through the gaps in the foliage, fixating on a spot not far away.

There, in a clearing, surrounded by fallen trees forging a vast emptiness beneath, stood a figure— the last person Lin Chen had seen before entering the mystical realm.

The figure appeared somewhat corpulent, particularly his belly, akin to a balloon, with thick legs beneath that made one doubt if they could support his weight.

He continued eating incessantly, his mouth greasy, short but somewhat plump hands still holding food, constantly shoveling it into his mouth.

Occasionally, he lifted his gaze, eyeing a few figures and a fallen, humming beast before him.

”I’ve been chasing this creature for a long time to drive it here, yet you managed to take it down just like that.”

In front of the figure stood a man, his expression showing both regret and disappointment, glancing between the corpulent man and the dying beast on the ground.

”Brother Zhao, we shouldn’t waste words with him, let’s deal with him first!”

Another man glared fiercely, eyes almost spewing fire; if not for the man in front of him holding him back, he would have rushed forward to confront the fat man.

If the beast were captured alive, the score would increase significantly, or even just killing it would still net some points.

Yet, from the beginning, they had painstakingly lured it into a trap, only for a fat man to fall from the sky and kill it with a single punch.

This, in effect, was like making wedding clothes for others, no wonder this person was enraged.

The fat man remained expressionless, only seemingly excited by the food in his hands, never lifting his head; the situation before him appeared irrelevant as he contentedly consumed his meal.

To others, this behavior naturally conveyed disdain.

”Stay put!”

However, when the fat man finished his food and intended to leave, the man in front of the others, irked by his demeanor, was provoked into anger.

He strode forward, covering several meters in less than a breath, positioning himself before the fat man.

At the same time, the Spiritual Energy gathered around him, emitting an astonishing aura, enveloping the fat man and forcefully blocking him there.

This man initially thought that the fat man might possess some extraordinary means; cautious by nature, he wouldn’t easily offend others. But the fat man’s disdain kindled his fury.

He reached out with one hand to block the fat man, raising his eyes with a frigid glare, and coldly said, ”If you want to leave, first hand over your wooden token!”

His words carried an indisputable tone; the fierce intent was focused entirely on the fat man.

The fat man remained silent, merely lifting his head under the man’s obstruction, a slight curve forming on his plump face, the fleshy appearance compressing his already small eyes into mere slits.

He smiled at the man, the slightly curled lips making him appear to mock the man.

”Courting death!”

A furious shout followed, the man raised his palm, Spiritual Energy gathering in his palm, coalescing into a sharp offensive momentum as he swung.

The momentum was overwhelming, producing booming sound waves as it swung, resounding menacingly in the ears.

Yet even such a massive assault, as it was about to strike the fat man, he remained unmoved. Instead, a smile blossomed on his face, his eyes completely hidden beneath the flesh.

Heh.

A cold sneer escaped the man, yet no concern showed; his hand retained its strength, even adding a bit more.

But in the next instant.

As the attack neared half a meter of the fat man’s front, it seemed to be intercepted by an invisible shield wall. The man’s strike sank into it as if hitting a sheer stone, not budging a fraction, instead leaving his arm slightly numb.

His pupils contracted, and before shock could appear on his face, a chilling glint erupted from the shield wall.

The chill exploded, sweeping swiftly across the man’s arm within a blink.

With a soft clatter, the man’s wrist severed, warm blood gushing from the broad hand severed to the ground.

As the fat man licked the cold blade in one hand, the man finally reacted, his eyes wide with shock. Clutching his wrist, he let out a scream of pain, his expression contorted.

”Zhao... Brother Zhao...”

Behind the fat man, the few people originally gathered beside the man were equally shocked. They watched the situation unfold, momentarily stunned, merely gaping and exclaiming.

After landing a hit, strangely, the fat man did not pursue further. He squatted down, picked up the severed hand, and pried off the Storage Ring from it.

Then, the fat man squeezed it, crushing something within, and when glanced again, the gemstone of the ring dimmed significantly before he placed it into his own ring.

”You!”

The man, witnessing this, was even more consumed by rage, and let out a roar of anger, coughing up blood in fury, bending over yet, the power before him was irresistible.

Even with his belongings taken, he could only swallow the bitterness, glaring sharply at the fat man at most...
