Chapter 1148: Chapter 1149 Life-and-Death Speed

As the two subway trains got closer and closer, suddenly a golden light flew by, quickly changing the track, and the two trains nearly brushed past each other.

”That was close!” Lin Chen and Zhang Yu both secretly rejoiced, if not for the corpses, they and the passengers on one train might have been finished.

”Boss, I just got a notice for us to stop immediately.” Zhang Yu let out a sigh of relief and said.

”Stop, of course, I want to stop, but the brakes of this train were sabotaged by those bastards.” Lin Chen said, frustrated.

”What!” Hearing Lin Chen’s words, Zhang Yu’s face suddenly changed.

Without a brake system, it means the subway would continue to move at its top speed.

”What should we do?” Zhang Yu said anxiously.

Lin Chen thought for a moment: ”Zhang Yu, this train is connected by couplings, I control the train, you remove the couplings, and separate the carriages from the driving cabin.”

Zhang Yu’s eyes lit up at the idea: ”That’s a great idea.”

But when Zhang Yu ran to the door, he suddenly stopped because a question dawned on him. If they do as Lin Chen said, they would be safe, but what about Lin Chen?

”Lin Chen, what about you?” Zhang Yu said.

”Don’t worry, I have my own plan. I have already informed the front cars to clear the way, we must remove the couplings before the train reaches the terminal station.” Lin Chen said sternly.

Zhang Yu nodded: ”Lin Chen, you must come back alive.”

With that, Zhang Yu turned and left the cabin.

Lin Chen took a deep breath, he must keep in contact with the control desk, so the workers ahead can timely switch tracks to prevent collision.

There were still four stops to the terminal, but Zhang Yu hadn’t yet separated the train bodies.

”What is that guy doing?” Lin Chen’s gaze couldn’t help but focus.

Four Seasons Hotel, the entire underground garage was in a state of disarray, both Geng Hao and the Sixth Prince looked extremely battered.

Geng Hao was covered in blood, and one of the Sixth Prince’s arms had been broken.

”With your talent, why did you betray the Geng family?” Geng Hao panted heavily.

It was only after clashing with the Sixth Prince that he knew of the other’s extraordinary power.

He had been painstakingly trained by his family from a young age, but this guy before him was on par in both talent and strength.

Even stranger, the opponent had turned himself into a half-machine. This technology even he didn’t master.

Normally, such a genius should have been the focus of Geng family’s cultivation, how could he betray the family to become a traitor?

The Sixth Prince sneered: ”Indeed, under normal circumstances, I should have been the most outstanding mechanical successor of the Geng family, even someone you wouldn’t be qualified to compete with. But a car accident destroyed me and my family.”

A flicker of hatred crossed the Sixth Prince’s eyes as he spoke.

”That accident was a calamity, you shouldn’t vent your anger on the Geng family, nor should you have stolen half of their manual.” Geng Hao said in a low voice.

”Calamity? Do you think I’m a fool? Your father deliberately sabotaged the brakes to make you the successor, causing this tragedy.” The Sixth Prince suddenly shouted at Geng Hao.

”What nonsense are you talking about?” Geng Hao was stunned by the Sixth Prince’s words.

”Back then, both of us were heirs to the mechanical arts, we were competitors, even my talent was slightly superior, thus the final outcome must have been me as the successor, so your father used this despicable method.” Coldness flashed in the Sixth Prince’s eyes.

Geng Hao sighed: ”You misunderstood my father, that accident wasn’t due to brake failure, but because it had snowed a few days prior, and the road you were on never saw sunlight, Uncle was driving too fast and couldn’t brake, leading to the tragedy.”

As he spoke, Geng Hao pulled out his phone, playing a video for the Sixth Prince.

This video was captured by a mountain villa’s surveillance, discovered during Geng Hao’s father’s investigation of the accident.

The Sixth Prince took the phone, a car appeared in the video, the same one his father had driven, speeding along a road with a section covered in smooth snow at the end.

It was here that the car couldn’t brake in time at a turn and fell off the cliff.

”How could this be!” Watching the video, the Sixth Prince was dumbfounded.

This accident had cost him his arms, and he was saved by an old man, and in order to avenge the Geng family, he begged that mysterious old man to steal Geng family’s mechanical secret techniques.

All along, the Sixth Prince had lived in hatred, but he never imagined it was just an accident.

”Geng Ming, come back.” Geng Hao sighed and said.

”Come back? It’s too late now.” The Sixth Prince’s lips twisted into a bitter smile.

”Geng Hao, let’s have a fair duel, I want to see if you, the Geng family heir, are even worthy!” The Sixth Prince said in a low voice.

Geng Hao nodded: ”According to seniority, I should call you brother. Today, we’ll have a fair duel.”

With that, Geng Hao stretched out his hand, six daggers rose into the air.

”Go!”

With a thought, Geng Hao sent the six daggers whistling towards the Sixth Prince.

However, unexpectedly, the Sixth Prince didn’t dodge this time.

Thud! Thud!

One by one, the daggers pierced the Sixth Prince’s body, four were deflected by a steel helmet, but the other two hit his chest precisely.

Blood flowed instantly, Geng Hao’s mouth bleeds, and he fell to the ground with a thud.

Geng Hao was stunned, he thought the Sixth Prince would really have a knife-to-knife fight, but he didn’t expect the opponent to seek death in such a way.

The Sixth Prince spread his arms, a satisfied smile on his face: ”Mom, Dad, I did it, I became a great mechanic. I have no regrets, no regrets!”

”Idiot, why did you have to do this?” Geng Hao rushed over.

A bitter smile spread across the Sixth Prince’s face: ”All these years, I did too many bad things for revenge, it was all my assumptions, I am sorry to the Geng family, sorry to Grandpa, dying by a Geng family member is my best end.”

With these words, the Sixth Prince tilted his head, falling into a pool of blood.

In the tunnel, Zhang Yu finally managed to disconnect the train’s head from the other carriages before it reached the terminal station.

The compartment gradually stopped, but the train head roared and crashed into the terminal station wall.

The powerful impact didn’t stop the train, and the entire driving cabin actually shot out of the station platform, plunging over ten meters to the ground.

”Boom!” The entire cabin exploded instantly.

Watching the flames engulf the subway, Zhang Yu’s eyes were already wet.

”You idiot, why didn’t you jump out.” Zhang Yu looked at the burning cabin, feeling like a knife twisted in his heart.

All along, he had regarded Lin Chen like a brother, volunteering this time to help, but he never anticipated such an outcome.

”Lin Chen, rest assured, I’ll take good care of the sisters-in-law.” Zhang Yu muttered, wiping away tears.

”Damn, I knew you kid was eyeing my beautiful wives, no need to trouble you, I’ll handle it myself.” A familiar voice sounded in his ear.

”Lin Chen!” Zhang Yu turned around, and upon seeing the figure behind him, jumped up in excitement.
