Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 61: Chapter 52: Hunter Domain

In the eyes of the Invisibility Beast, Gao Gong transformed into a three-meter-tall Reaper, that super monster wrapped entirely in steel.

The aura of tearing, cutting through everything kept piling up, a terrifying Biological Scythe seemed about to pierce its chest the next moment.

Hunter Domain (Biological Transformation): Once the domain is launched, a Food Chain Connection is established between the ’Hunter’ and the ’Prey’. Upon successful connection, all attributes of the ’Prey’ are reduced by 20%, greatly diminishing the fighting will of the ’Prey’. If the judgment fails, a random attribute of the ’Prey’ increases by 30%, entering a berserk state, hate +300.

In the eyes of others, Gao Gong was still the same Gao Gong, but in the eyes of the Invisibility Beast, Gao Gong was a bloodthirsty Reaper.

The back of the Reaper slowly cracked open, six knife limbs as thick as door panels squeezed out, that chilling and terrifying aura almost solidifying the air.

The Invisibility Beast felt an innate terror sweeping over, drowning it like a sea.

This fear originated from the deep part of the bloodline, from the strict hierarchy of the food chain.

The feeling of being hunted even exposed a flaw in its protective layer, suddenly a mirror-like reflection appeared more than ten meters away.

Gao Gong burst forth, covering the ten-meter distance in just the blink of an eye, appearing near that reflection. As long as the ’Food Chain Connection’ was completed, he could automatically mark the opponent’s position.

In the next moment, Gao Gong exerted force with both feet, leaping over three meters high. The new Sensing Knee not only muffled the sound of the ’Micro Motor’ but also allowed Gao Gong to better manage the ’Engine Burst’ power consumption.

This is the advantage brought by Biological Transformation.

In mid-air, Gao Gong formed his left hand into a blade, four fingers rapidly changed, nails doubled with blood-red claws, tiny barbs extended down the nails, forming a continuous piece.

The tip of the hook was a biological implant hole as small as a needle’s eye, the pores on the thickened skin enlarged nearly doubled.

Without encountering any resistance, Gao Gong’s hand blade plunged into the opponent’s biological armor.

An intense sensation of pleasure surged from the palm, the indescribable feeling of being enveloped by a certain softness, ineffably marvelous.

He finally experienced the joy of the Reaper Queen.

Bloodthirsty Capturing Legs*4 (Mutated Organ): A mutated weapon exclusive to the Reaper, which when inserted into living beings, decays the enemy’s organs, destroys enemy body functions, causing massive blood loss in the enemy, absorbing five points of blood volume per second.

Additional State: Sword and Saber Frenzy

One Bloodthirsty Capturing Leg absorbs 5 blood volume/second, four legs thus absorb 20 blood volume/second.

A D-Level Radiation Beast, without the boss template enhancement, has a blood volume of about 300~500.

An Invisibility Beast of this stealth type, due to its unique body structure, would have even lower blood volume, possibly less than some E-level Radiation Beasts.

With one fierce stab, Gao Gong drained half of this creature’s blood volume instantly.

After landing, Gao Gong flicked lightly, and a shriveled corpse was immediately thrown down, the flesh severely aged, barely recognizable as a large ’mosquito’ the size of a washbasin.

The Star Absorption Skill, terrifying as such.

Systemic modification is unstable and has a degree of variability.

’Same Species Hunt’, ’Organ Consumption’ both experienced certain mutations.

However, benefiting from low-level ’Biological Rejection’, with high surgical completion, these ’mutations’ developed in a positive direction.

Gao Gong’s health bar was still full, so this kind of bloodsucking transformed into a sense of pleasure similar to ’hormone secretion’, equivalent to an enhanced version of Wise Man’s Time.

[You have killed a D-level Invisibility Steel Needle Mosquito, experience +680]

The experience is quite substantial indeed.

But this is not surprising, an Invisibility + Ambush creature that even infrared reconnaissance cannot locate is potentially more dangerous than many C-level Radiation Beasts.

Gao Gong lifted his head, ”You’ve been watching the show for quite some time, is it entertaining?”

’Pa’, ’Pa’, ’Pa’, applause rang out as a figure stepped out onto the second-floor safety passage.

”No wonder even C-level Radiation Beasts can be assassinated by a Mechanical Hunter, you found me so quickly.”

The newcomer flipped gently, descending from the second floor.

Gao Gong tilted his head to size up the other party, who had golden hair, a handsome face, and wore an all-black coat resembling a modified tailcoat.

The most eye-catching feature was the emblem on his chest, a metal spear + flesh shield.

An old acquaintance indeed.

”What rank, combatant or knight? It can’t possibly be a Great Knight,” Gao Gong said nonchalantly.

The golden-haired man was slightly stunned, then elegantly smiled, ”Knight Order Combatant, Theodore.”

”What brings you here?”

”I would like to borrow something from you.”

”A butt is fine, but not a head.”

Theodore hesitated again, then shook his head in heartfelt disappointment.

”You really are such a vulgar person!”

The next moment, the wind howled, Theodore crossed nearly twenty meters, appearing in front of Gao Gong almost instantly.

Agility certainly exceeds 15 points!

As he crossed, the other party’s arm traced a graceful arc, the sleeve let out a ’pop’ sound, five fingers extended from the suit sleeve like five iron pincers, fiercely grabbing at Gao Gong’s delicate face.

Gao Gong’s nostrils even caught a burnt smell from the vibrating Electric Heating Blade.

However, Gao Gong’s right hand seemed to have premonition abilities, inserting from the bottom left, the five fingers rapidly mutated during the insertion, transforming into ’Bloodthirsty Capturing Legs’.

The two biological weapons crashed together fiercely.

Sparks flew!

Gao Gong’s agility couldn’t compare to the opponent’s, but his Power was superior, the Bloodthirsty Capturing Legs stubbornly held against the five Blade Fingers, pushing Theodore back three meters.

”You—”

Theodore looked at Gao Gong’s hands with some suspicion and uncertainty, only to see that his hands had completely transformed into barbed blood claws, practically a smaller version of the Reaper Queen.

”Familiar?”

Gao Gong grinned, his gaze falling on the ten bio-electric heating blades that Theodore’s ten fingers had been transformed into, bioelectricity generation, high-temperature cutting, the Knight Order’s standard biomechanical technology.

”I have a question, is your nickname Edward Scissorhands, oh no, Scissorhands Theodore?”

Theodore’s face darkened, and the next moment, the two figures clashed together once more.

In the early stages of the game, Knight Order combatants were equivalent to level 20~30 elite monsters, with their minimum Five Attributes being at least 15 points, especially after being modified by ’biomechanical technology,’ some aspects were specifically enhanced.

And during their encounter, Gao Gong found that he had somewhat underestimated his opponent; this guy’s agility was definitely 20 points.

And Theodore’s surprise was even greater than Gao Gong’s.

The data showed that this person was indeed skilled in close combat, but that close combat should refer to swordsmanship, not hand-to-hand combat.

In fact, solely in terms of hand-to-hand combat, many Knight Class officers in the Knight Order were not his match.

What was even more puzzling was the opponent’s mutated monster claw, along with the alloy skeletal transformation recorded in the data.

How is it so similar to their own ’biomechanical technology’?

Their two figures were moving so fast that they were almost invisible to the naked eye; the aftermath of palm knives and hook claws occasionally swept across nearby luxury cars, where they passed, they either shattered the glass or tore the car’s skin.

Gao Gong clawed and crushed the engine of a luxury car.

While Theodore’s ten fingers flashed continuously, countless tires were cut and burst open.

During the battle, Theo discovered that the other’s fighting style seemed to involve more than just power and speed; there was also an uncanny assassination blade art in it.

Each move was like the moon in the dark, bright yet surrounded by death.

Sword and Saber Frenzy: In hand-to-hand mode, any swordsmanship state you master will temporarily transfer to your arm, Swordsmanship Specialization +1, Blocking Damage Reduction +25% when using a samurai sword, conventional swords, or a mantis blade.

Note: The hand will really move by itself, this is a swordsmanship reflex.

This time, fewer than ten knights came to the desert on this mission.

And below the Knight Class, it was Theodore who was the strongest.

Originally, his target was actually a ’Hunting Captain’; it was just that, upon receiving news of Gao Gong’s sudden appearance, he changed his target.

However, he never expected the opponent to be so difficult to deal with.

The Reaper doesn’t favor any hand, which also means Gao Gong’s two hands are both wielding the ’Red Unicorn.’

Dual Blade Style.

During the fight, Theodore was shocked to find the opponent getting faster and faster, or rather, he himself was getting slower.

As long as the opponent’s finger blades grazed the skin, they would siphon away part of his blood.

This reminded Theodore of some mutated bloodsucking vine.

It’s not that the opponent was getting stronger, but that he was getting weaker.

Theodore seized a moment between changes in moves, took a deep breath, and his modified arm suddenly exerted force, causing the ten electric heating blades to spin violently, tearing through the air and creating a small air vortex.

Blade Vortex lv3 (Elite): By using electric heating blades to guide the biological magnetic field, create a small gravity field; in the gravity field, ally chain attack damage +15%, enemy agility -20%, attack speed -10%, Additional State: Biological Electric Disorder

However, Gao Gong once again demonstrated an otherworldly prescience, lightly leaping, and sliding back a meter and a half as if defying physical rules, directly avoiding this big move.

Gao Gong flicked his wrist, and the single-molecule hook claw automatically retracted, smiling, ”If this is all you’ve got, don’t talk about killing someone, I’d worry if you could even save your own hide.”

Theodore’s chest heaved quickly, and sweat dripped down his forehead; the data was definitely wrong, the opponent was much stronger than what the data recorded, much stronger!

The impression he got from the opponent was that of an adept hunter toying with its prey.

This person’s combat level undoubtedly reached the Knight Class!

He remained silent for a moment and suddenly said, ”You don’t think our assassination was targeting only you, do you?”

Gao Gong’s face darkened, ”So you’re saying you’ve made a move against my subordinates as well?”

”As long as I hold you here, soon, your subordinates’ heads will be brought over, let’s see if you’ll still be as calm then.”

”Trying to provoke me?”

Gao Gong suddenly grinned, ”The Knight Order’s War Knights shouldn’t have so much to spare.”

”A brawny man with mutant abilities, and a low-level mechanical man who only knows how to drive; as long as specific countermeasures are taken, even the lowest-level combatants can handle them!”

”I knew it, the Security Corps has spies within you, and I distinctly remember not releasing my battlefield recordings externally.”

The Battlefield Recorder acts as a camera, and the performance of Gao Gong and the other two was all recorded, analyzed, and targeted.

Gao Gong believed that other Mechanical Hunters received the same treatment.

No wonder this fight was such a mess, there’s a traitor in the house!

Gao Gong’s gaze slowly darkened, and the next moment, in Theodore’s eyes, Gao Gong’s figure transformed again, becoming taller, thicker, stronger.

[Hunter Domain Expanding]

[Food Chain Connection in Progress]

[Prey Mark Successful]

Facing the other’s terrified gaze, the giant ’Reaper’ spoke human words.

”I recall that Knight Order combatants all have the ’biomechanical unity’ ability; you better use it while you have the chance.”

”If you don’t use it, you’re going to die.”
