Blacksmith of the Apocalypse

Chapter 1415. Warriorsʼ Endless Stamina

Leaving the women to their own devices, Seth returned to the workshop. Before he heard that Cade came to talk with Leana and went to listen in on them, he had started working on the first piece of Moniqueʼs armor.

Having fixed that conversation, according to himself, he came back to continue his work. This morning, he had finished forging the cuisses. They were nice, smooth pieces of silver armor, with a slight golden sheen. Fortunately, the blessed special silver worked only slightly differently from the legendary

The blacksmith was finally able to benefit from his powerful furnace and again, quickening the process considerably. Since monster materials would burn up, he was not able to use his flames.

Working with metal again, after a week of struggling with dragon scales and crystals, he finally felt like a proper blacksmith again. The ballad was also an old acquaintance. Compared to Faenys, Cade had a little more interest in her defense, so she agreed with Sethʼs favorite option for the ballad, Damage Reflection.

After washing up, which he had forgotten to do before running off to spy on Leana and Cade, the blacksmith began enchanting them. For the enchantments of the two cuisses, he had chosen Minor Olympian Agility.

Minor Olympian Agility added 100 points to agility, 120 when considering his . Originally, if this had been the Sky Dragon Armor, he would have chosen Mighty Speed again. Although it added less Agility, it added 20% Movement Speed.

Just comparing the effects, Mighty Speed would have been a more advantageous choice for speed. But this ignored what he was currently working on. For one, Monique didnʼt rely on movement speed; secondly, this was .

Seth was way more interested in causing synergies, so using something other than the Olympian enchantments that seemed almost guaranteed to trigger them seemed stupid. So far, Synergies had always led to better, albeit less predictable outcomes.

With that in mind, Seth spent roughly two hours engraving the decorative and complex circuits of the Olympian enchantments. Now for the soul, Seth had to work a little. One thing TanoʼMol had brought back in bulk from his expedition was human souls from people who died during the mountain siege.

There were... surprisingly many, considering the reports said that they only extracted the captured people and retreated. Not that he intended to complain about the abundance of materials. He was satisfied, although their quality was a little lacking.

It had been time for the Soul Refinery to shine again. TanoʼMol had handed him a smorgasbord of 800 mostly medium-sized souls ranging across all kinds of classes. Seth already had good experiences with refining a huge number of souls into a certain direction, most recently the souls of the dragonnewts.

Of those, 500 medium-sized human souls with physical combat specialization had been refined down to 10 massive souls of different specializations, more or less befitting the armor parts they were meant for. This meant he had an individual soul for every piece instead of making smaller sets among armor pieces.

His reason for not repeating the more balanced method used on the Sky Dragon Armor was that Seth didnʼt plan for a variety of effects, but intended to double down on the Olympian enchantments.

For the cuisses that were enchanted with Minor Olympian Agility, this meant they also got souls enchanted with Minor Olympian Agility. This meant an additional 200 agility per leg armor, in addition to the forging ballad, the material effects, and the effects of the soul.

The soul he had chosen for the left leg was . It was a concentration of skills and experiences concerning resource recovery. Although it said stamina in the name, it granted the trait “Legion Constitution”.

Stolen story; please report.

In the description of “Legion Constitution” it was said to improve the maximum amount and raise the regeneration of resources such as stamina, health, and mana. The reason for the name was probably that stamina skills were very common among the souls he had received, so that effect was probably stronger and stood out. However, the exact amounts were not mentioned in the description.

For the right leg, Seth prepared . The names of the souls were set by the system and were quite descriptive of what the souls did. The second soul was the refinement of all types of evasion and perception skills, the various.

It seemed that, when enough experiences and skills concerning a specific field were bashed together, it was almost inevitable that it became a trait. In the end, everything becomes crab, or a trait in this case.

granted the Trait of and the passive skill . The latter had not become a trait. Maybe there were not enough perception-based skills to make a trait? Or his theory was simply wrong.

Anyway, the trait description literally just stated “Slippery like an eel”, but considering what went into it, Seth guessed that it would increase evasion by a lot. The passive skill explained itself; it improved all senses and overall perception.

Using these two, Seth created the soul armaments for the two leg armors and enchanted them with Minor Olympian Agility. By the time he was done with everything, it had already gotten quite late. It was just past 11.00 pm when the two cuisses found their way into the Waters of Styx.

Hearing the expected notifications, Seth was looking forward to seeing how the synergies had changed the two cuisses. Quickly, the blacksmith appraised them with his .

This was also the first time seeing the effects of , which resembled that of legendary , but only in part. Tripling the power of Divine Skills granted by Athena was huge, but an additional increase of 50% for all skills and Spells was not to be underestimated either.

If all armor pieces tripled the power of Monqiueʼs divine skills, those would become terrifyingly powerful. Even normal skills and spells would see an increase of 500%. Just that was already impressive, but it was not the end.

Both items had been changed through synergies, but a change they shared was Agility of Athena, which was obviously the result of the Minor Olympian Agility enchantments of the souls and the itemʼs reaction to the material

Agility of Athena raised Agility by 250 points and movement speed by 10%. This meant the two cuisses together now raised Agility by 500! The addition was even more than Sethʼs base value in the attribute. Close to double even....

Nothing changed about the traits of the souls or the Damage Reflection, but both items had an additional active skill and a set effect. The left cuisse had gained the active skill , which could regain 50% of any resource within 30 seconds. It had neither cost nor cooldown; however, it had restrictions.

The wearer could only use the skill while sitting down, lying down, or standing still for the duration of the 30 seconds, and it could not be stacked for the same resource. For example, if Monique were out of mana and close to death, the skill could use it to recover Health and Mana at the same time, but she would have to use it twice for each, to make a full recovery.

This meant 60 seconds of standing still to make a full recovery. For a self-recovery skill, this was powerful, but also hard to use in active combat. Unless she had someone or something to buy her at that time.

What was added to the right thigh on the other leg was the active skill , which was a skill that allowed the user to “brush off” any and all projectiles currently aiming at the user and redirect them to the ground. It had no cost or cooldown, but the number of uses was restricted to 6 times per hour.

Lastly, the set effect added the passive skill , which lowered the stamina consumption of the wearer and any of their subordinates by 25% when moving. It was not necessarily an overwhelming skill, compared to the other options, but it was a nice add-on.

Satisfied with his work, he put it in his inventory and went back to his girlfriends.
