The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 260: Chapter 260: Tian, Please Spare Me

Lin Tian’s words made the middle-aged man droop his head, his clothes soaked with sweat, clearly engaged in a mental struggle!

”Alright, I’ll tell you everything!” The middle-aged man lifted his head, speaking in an almost pleading tone: ”But before I say anything, you have to promise me one thing!”

”What is it?” Lin Tian crossed his arms and looked at the middle-aged man.

”Spare my wife and kids, and deliver this box of money to them!” the middle-aged man pleaded.

”Go ahead, I promise you!” Although Lin Tian didn’t understand why the middle-aged man wanted him to promise this, he nodded in agreement to get the man to talk.

”You can ask now!” The middle-aged man paused, then continued: ”Can you give me a cigarette?”

Snap!

A bluish flame spurted out from the lighter, igniting a cigarette that Lin Tian shoved into the middle-aged man’s mouth: ”I’ve agreed, the cigarette is lit, now it’s my turn to ask, who exactly ordered Bai Shishi’s kidnapping?”

”I don’t know either!” The middle-aged man shook his head and continued: ”It’s true that I was just helping them out with this matter!”

”That was a night two weeks ago when I had just arrived home and was blocked by a few people in black. They asked me if I could contact a hitman!”

”I nodded back then, and one of the men in black, the boss, said that if I helped them find a hitman to kidnap someone, they’d give me two million in rewards!”

The middle-aged man took a heavy drag on the cigarette, causing ash to fall on his body as his limbs were tied up.

”Then I contacted a hitman from Sakula Country, this guy named Qingchuan, who usually doesn’t talk much. He probably does this job on the side to earn some extra cash, but he’s very skillful and has never failed!”

”It just so happened that when I contacted him that day, he agreed!”

”Then I told him to kidnap a woman named Bai Shishi, and the details of the time and place were given by the other party. I was responsible for contacting Qingchuan!”

”I don’t know what happened after that!”

”And then it’s today’s matter, they asked me to meet at the Jinluan Hall, saying the job was successful and not to mention it to anyone, then they gave me this box of money!”

The middle-aged man blew smoke from his nostrils: ”I’m just an intermediary, I really don’t know anything else!”

”Heh, you’re an intermediary who took advantage and let others do the killing. In my opinion, you’re the worst of them all!” Lin Tian sneered, scoffing at the middle-aged man’s words!

”Not all this money is mine; I can only take a third of it, and I need to pay the hitman too! Tonight, I went to Jinluan Palace to get my commission and then planned to do business with you!” The middle-aged man flicked away his cigarette butt.

”Who was the person contacting you? Or do you know who they are?” Lin Tian continued to ask.

The middle-aged man shook his head: ”I don’t know, because when they found me, I was scared and didn’t dare to ask too much! I only know the person who contacted me was called Xiaogang; he’s younger than me!”

”Do you know who Mr. Long is?” Lin Tian asked again.

”I don’t know anything else!”

”Could it really not be Bai Jiaming?” Lin Tian scratched his head in frustration. Could it really be Xiaogang’s doing, not Bai Jiaming?

”Boss, I have an elderly parent and a young child. This was a big business deal I managed to get. I admit I’m not a good person. You can kill or chop me as you please, but please take this money to my home so my wife and kids can have a good life!” As the head of the family, the middle-aged man wasn’t without a sense of responsibility, still thinking about his wife and children.

”My wife always complains that I’m not working a regular job. This time she won’t say anything!” The middle-aged man showed a bitter smile: ”Too bad I can never be with them again!”

”Seems like you’re not bad at heart, so why not find a proper job instead of doing these dirty deeds?”

Lin Tian picked up the black briefcase: ”Actually, I can spare your life!”

”Boss, if you have any demands, just tell me. As long as I can do it, I will!” The middle-aged man, seeing a faint hope of survival, hurriedly said.

”I’ll let you go today, but you have to obey my words. Also, don’t get involved in this business again!” For some reason, Lin Tian really enjoyed this feeling of control over others.

The middle-aged man hesitated a moment before nodding: ”Okay!”

”Consider tonight’s events never happened. If you dare to reveal any information to them, I won’t hesitate to harm your wife and children!” Lin Tian was completely intimidating the middle-aged man with these words.

”Don’t worry, I won’t reveal any information!” the middle-aged man promised.

”If Xiaogang contacts you again, remember to tell me first!” Lin Tian gave the middle-aged man his phone number.

”All you need to do is help me lure these people into the open!” Lin Tian said while cutting the ropes binding the middle-aged man’s limbs with a dagger.

”No problem!” The middle-aged man stood up and picked up the black briefcase again, knowing this was money earned at the cost of his life, he couldn’t afford not to cherish it.

”You can go now!” Lin Tian stuffed his hands in his pockets, watching the middle-aged man leave.

The middle-aged man, afraid Lin Tian would attack him from behind, kept glancing back as he walked, not relaxing until he was totally gone.

After the middle-aged man left, Lin Tian also departed under the cover of night.

But after walking a few steps, he suddenly remembered that Wu Yong might still be at Jinluan Palace Hotel?

He took out his phone to call Wu Yong to ask what the situation was over there.

As soon as the call connected, Wu Yong’s pitiful voice came through: ”Tian, my brother, can you stop messing with me like this in the future?”

”Sorry, I forgot about you!” Lin Tian said apologetically.

Initially, the plan was to follow Xiaogang, but he got busy afterward and completely forgot about Wu Yong.

”You said you’d treat me to dinner, I came over eagerly, you let me order two dishes, I ordered two dishes, fearing what happened last time would repeat, I ordered the two cheapest this time!”

”But... but you still stood me up... those two dishes cost me a hundred and fifty yuan...!”

”You know, after paying the bill, I ate them with tears in my eyes; my heart was bitter!” Wu Yong said, full of grievance.

”Sorry, sorry!”

Lin Tian felt genuinely sorry: ”I’ll treat you to a big meal to make it up to you?”

”Eat again? I swear I’ll never go to a big hotel with you for the rest of my life. If we’re eating, let’s just go for ramen or claypot chicken rice, at least it’s cheap!” Wu Yong said, feeling defeated.

Twice in a row, my heart is cold...!

”I’m serious about this!” Lin Tian said with a helpless face.

”I’m serious too!”

”I’ll truly treat you to a big feast!”

”I’m truly scared, Tian, let me off!!!
