The Delicate Darling with Her Rough Man

Making three hundred bars of facial soap was a major undertaking.

Gu Jiaojiao woke up bright and early for a change, starting to process the soapbeans she had stockpiled.

Before, Gu Jiaojiao had to do all the work by herself.

But now, with Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang helping, she was able to work much faster.

Besides the soapbeans, Gu Jiaojiao had also dried plenty of herbs.

Once the soapbeans and herbs were processed, she began to boil them.

Previously, Gu Jiaojiao had used the family’s clay pot to boil the soapbeans and medicinal herbs. The clay pot was rather slow, so Leng Yuan had Lu Yuanbin find a way to buy her a large iron wok. It was delivered along with the latest message.

Gu Jiaojiao set up a stand in the courtyard, placed the iron wok on top, and lit a fire underneath.

Three hundred bars of facial soap was a lot. With this iron wok, she could boil all the herbs needed for them in a single batch.

In addition to the herbs, boiling the soapbeans also took a considerable amount of time.

Gu Jiaojiao was extremely strict about controlling the heat.

After all, if they weren’t boiled long enough, the effects would be diminished.

In her past life, she had opened her own skincare company, complete with a research and development base and her own factory. She had been completely self-sufficient, so she knew this better than anyone.

’If you want to build a good reputation, quality is absolutely the number one priority.’

Skincare products are different from other things. You can’t rely on one-time customers; the product must be effective to encourage people to buy it again.

It wasn’t like food, where there would always be buyers as long as it could fill a stomach, regardless of the taste.

In this era, skincare was not a necessity. People could take it or leave it. If the product didn’t work, it would never sell.

The foundation for winning over customers was simple: genuine quality at a fair price.

As Gu Jiaojiao made the facial soap, Sweet Girl watched her work with a curious expression, her big eyes fluttering adorably.

Sweet Girl had changed a lot recently.

Before, she had been dark and skinny, with no flesh on her face. She had looked grubby and not very pretty.

But ever since she started living with Gu Jiaojiao, eating refined grains and meat every day, she had put on some weight. Her skin had also become fairer and more tender, and her cheeks had filled out. With her big eyes, she now looked quite lovely.

It was the same for Xiao Yang. His scrawny body had filled out, and in a short time, he had even grown a bit taller, looking much sturdier.

Both Sweet Girl and Xiao Yang had very fine features. It was easy to tell from their eyes and brows that their parents must have been quite good-looking as well.

Seeing Sweet Girl gazing at her with such adoration, Gu Jiaojiao couldn’t help but smile and pinch the girl’s chubby cheek. It was so soft and felt wonderful.

She gave it another little squeeze, a smile spreading across her face.

”Our Sweet Girl is so pretty!”

Sweet Girl grew a little shy at the praise. In the past, she would have bashfully lowered her head, unsure how to respond.

But now, she was used to being complimented and had become much more confident.

After being praised by Gu Jiaojiao, Sweet Girl fluttered her big eyes and said with a serious expression,

”Sister Jiaojiao is the pretty one.”

In her heart, Gu Jiaojiao was the prettiest girl in the world.

Gu Jiaojiao’s heart melted. ’What an angel of a little sister! She’s capable, hardworking, and even knows how to cheer me up.’

”You’re such a sweet-talker, my dear Sweet Girl!”

After saying that, Gu Jiaojiao also pinched Xiao Yang’s cheek and praised him with a smile.

”Our Xiao Yang has gotten more handsome, too. Do you think Sister Jiaojiao is pretty?”

Xiao Yang’s eyes sparkled, and he nodded eagerly at Gu Jiaojiao’s question.

He seemed anxious; being unable to speak, there were so many things he wanted to say but couldn’t.

But Gu Jiaojiao never favored one over the other. When she praised them, she praised them both. When they worked, they worked together. When they ate, they ate together. There was absolutely none of that ”the older one must give way to the younger one” nonsense.
