Starting With an SSS-Rank Swordsmanship Talent

Chapter 662: Absolute Power

”Alright then.” Bellator smiled faintly.

He was still unaware that his mental resistance against Alaric was already starting to fade away. He just thought that it was his job to follow his command.

Alaric found his sudden change in attitude a bit strange. The guy was becoming more obedient. ”I will leave it in your hands.”

Bellator nodded confidently. ”It wonʼt take me long.”

With a ʼwhooshʼ, he leaped into the air and flew into the horizon.

Looking at him soaring into the sky, Alaric felt a hint of envy. As someone in the Unfettered realm, the most he could do was glide in the air. Even for someone like him, flight was still impossible.

I will get there soon. Once my wedding is over, I will bring my people to the Cangnan continent to seek opportunities.

…

Three days later, in the Carefree Dukeʼs estate.

Namgung Ilsun mounted his horse and looked at the thousands of warriors gathered before him. These warriors were part of the secret force that he had cultivated over the last few decades. Most of them were Knight Apprentices and Knights.

The sight of these intimidating soldiers gave him a surge of confidence.

Just as he was about to give his speech, he suddenly felt a monstrous energy coming from above.

Hm?!

He raised his head and squinted his eyes.

What is this overwhelming aura Iʼm sensing? It doesnʼt seem to be from a beast.

At first, he thought that it was just someone at the peak of the Venerable realm, but upon closer observation, he realized that the visitor was giving him a familiar sensation.

This aura fluctuation… No way!

Carefree Knight?! How could there be another Carefree Knight in Veronica?!

He couldnʼt believe his eyes.

While he was reeling in shock, the visitor slowly descended from the sky, looking like an immortal who had gone down to earth.

The warriors gathered at the scene were stunned.

”Did he come from above?! How did he fly?!”

”Who is that guy?!”

”His aura is so strong!”

The visitorʼs aura shook everyone. It was so intense that those with weaker willpower almost buckled under the pressure.

Namgung Ilsun frowned as he looked at Bellator. It was an unfamiliar face. Moreover, based on his physical characteristics, the man was a foreigner from another nation.

”Who are you?” He composed himself as he eyed the other with a hawk-like gaze.

Bellator was amused by the haughty attitude. ”To think that a newly advanced Beyonder realm warrior would dare speak rudely to me. What an eye opener!”

He intentionally released a burst of energy which made the surrounding warriors feel uncomfortable. Some even fell to the ground, their faces filled with horror.

Sensing the oppressive aura, Namgung Ilsun felt a wave of unease.

Impossible!

He put aside his arrogance and quickly dismounted.

”P-Please donʼt be misunderstood, my lord. I bear no ill will against you. Iʼm just surprised by your unexpected arrival.” Namgung Ilsun forced an ugly smile.

Bellator walked toward him and stopped when they were only five meters apart.

”I am Bellator Cruentos, a warrior under Alaric Silversword.” He nonchalantly introduced himself.

Namgung Ilsun was taken aback. ”You work for that bastard err… I mean His Highness?”

How did Alaric make a Carefree Knight pledge allegiance to him?

Bellatorʼs face turned cold. ”I wonʼt allow you to disrespect his name a second time.”

The surrounding mana violently twisted all of a sudden.

Namgung Ilsunʼs face dropped upon sensing his power. ”I-It was only a slip of the tongue, my lord! I apologize.”

In front of this overwhelmingly powerful warrior, his previous haughty attitude vanished.

Just from his aura alone, he could tell that the other party was a lot stronger than him. Moreover, the difference was huge.

The thousands of warriors gathered could barely breathe under the immense pressure. They couldnʼt even stop the visitor from approaching the Carefree Duke.

In the face of absolute strength, they were all powerless.

”Your name is Namgung Ilsun, right? I want you to follow me to Sorl.” Bellator said in a commanding tone.

Namgung Ilsun was unwilling, but faced with the manʼs cold gaze, all thoughts of resistance disappeared.

With a resigned sigh, he nodded his head.

”Alright. Lead the way.”

Bellatorʼs face eased up. ”I like dealing with smart people.”

Namgung Ilsun could only laugh dryly at his words. The rebellion hadnʼt even started, but he had already lost. It never occurred to him that there was actually someone stronger than him in the surrounding nations.

”Before we go, please allow me to say something to my son.” He spoke with a bit of unease.

Three days ago, he ordered the capture of Sam Bartadamenʼs group. They were currently locked up in an underground cell.

Bellator frowned. He noticed the unusual expression on the old manʼs face. ”Are you hiding something from me?”

Namgung Ilsun subconsciously took a step back as he responded. ”Itʼs just a mistake on our side, my lord. My subordinates seem to have captured a few people a few days ago.”

Hearing this, Bellator immediately sent out his spiritual perception to inspect the surroundings. Nothing escaped his eyes, even the hidden locations in the estate.

At this moment, he saw something in an underground facility beneath the main mansion. He noticed a few familiar faces locked up in a cell and they werenʼt in great condition.

In the blink of an eye, he abruptly appeared in front of Namgung Ilsun and grabbed his shoulder. ”What is the meaning of this, old man?”

Namgung Ilsun panicked. The pressure applied to his shoulder was so heavy that it broke his bones. ”W-Wait! It was only a misunderstanding, my lord! There was a miscommunication between both-”

Bang!

”Lord Duke!”

”Lord Duke!”

Some stronger warriors were about to rush to the Carefree Dukeʼs side, but they immediately stopped when they saw Bellator glancing their way.

”If you donʼt want to die, youʼd better not interfere,” Bellator warned in a cold voice.

Namgung Jae-wan who was watching the whole time couldnʼt bear to see his grandfather suffer any further. He stepped forward and spoke in a trembling voice.

”M-My lord, please be-”

Whoosh!
