Starting With an SSS-Rank Swordsmanship Talent

Remondin Hildebrand was a 4-Ringed Beast Soul Grandmaster like Leroy Durova, but unlike the latter whose integrated monster traits were diverse, Remondin’s traits were focused primarily on offense.

“The One Man Army. That is his nickname.” Leroy spoke in a serious voice.

“The key reason for him getting this nickname is because of one of his integrated monster traits called Gravity Collapse. It’s a trait he got from a Dimensional Abyss Spider, a Catastrophe-grade beast…” He explained, his eyes visibly shook when he mentioned this monster.

Lucas and Dominic weren’t familiar with this monster, but the knowledgeable crown prince had read about it in a book.

It was a beast capable of manipulating gravity. With this unique ability, it could immobilize an army of hundreds of thousands of soldiers!

“Remondin, can we beat that person?” Leighnard asked with a deep look.

Hearing this, Leroy took a deep breath and shook his head. “To be honest, even I am not confident in defeating him… He could render my golem incapable of fighting with just his Gravity Collapse. Not to mention his other traits.”

His words made everyone’s faces turn grave.

Leroy was a powerful man and he also had a golem that was almost unkillable. For him to speak so highly of someone spoke volumes about Remondin’s power.

“Is there any way to beat him? Does he have a weakness?” Lucas asked.

Leroy fell silent for a moment.

After half a minute of silence, he opened his mouth and spoke. “Remondin is considered the strongest Venerable of Harune. He was unbeatable for a long time until he met her…”

“Yskaela Veronica, the Queen of Veronica.”

When he mentioned this name, an image of a beautiful woman flashed in everyone’s mind.

Yskaela Veronica was a woman who rose to power after killing the tyrannical ruler of her country. She wasn’t just beautiful, she was also considered the most powerful warrior in the surrounding empires.

“As you all know, Queen Yskaela is a warrior focused on speed. She is so fast that it is almost impossible to detect her. Even Venerables would have a hard time following her movements…”

“Is this story related to the Harune-Veronica War twenty-five years ago?” Leighnard suddenly asked while Leroy was in the middle of his storytelling.

Leroy nodded. “Yes, Your Highness.”

“Skip the story and just tell us how she defeated Remondin.” The crown prince said.

Leroy awkwardly chuckled. “I apologize…”

“You see… Remondin would need some time to cast his Gravity Collapse. It’s a skill that requires him to use his mana to tap into…”

He was about to go into the specifics when he noticed the crown prince’s stern face.

“To make it short, he needs about five to ten seconds to cast this skill. Queen Yskaela managed to take him down before he could cast it.”

“So we just need to be fast enough to defeat him…” Lucas muttered to himself. He was confident in his strength and speed, but he was uncertain if he could take down an experienced Venerable in a short amount of time.

While he was immersed in his thoughts, the crown prince’s voice suddenly drifted into their ears. “What do you think, my lords? Can you take down that person before he can cast his skill?”

Lucas didn’t respond and turned his head to Dominic.

Sensing his gaze, Dominic rubbed his chin and replied hesitantly. “It’s difficult to say. I have faced Remondin before, but he still didn’t have his Gravity Collapse at that time.”

Leighnard frowned at his words.

Even Lord Dominic is not confident. This is troublesome.

At this moment, Leroy spoke once more.

“There is another way to beat him.”

Hearing this, everyone stared at him with furrowed eyebrows.

Leroy did a throat-slitting gesture and said. “Assassination…”

“Didn’t you just say that only Queen Yskaela managed to defeat him? How can we assassinate someone like that?” Lucas felt that it was ridiculous.

Leroy shook his head and explained. “He might possess one of the most powerful integrated monster traits, but he is still after all a human being. There are also times when he lowers his guard…”

Leighnard was initially uninterested, but when he heard Leroy’s words, he revealed a pondering look.

That might work, but is there even someone who can do this job?

Lucas and Dominic are powerful warriors, but their auras are too conspicuous. If they appear near Remondin, he would immediately sense them. Leroy also isn’t fit for this role.

Just who is perfe-

Suddenly, he thought about a certain individual.

If it’s him, he might be able to pull it off…

…

A few miles west of Midgard was a narrow creek that was covered in blooming purple water lilies. The fragrant floral scent lingered in the air, giving the surrounding area a pleasant smell.

Walking along this creek was a team composed of twenty lightly dressed warriors.

It was almost difficult to spot them since their green uniforms camouflaged perfectly with the greenery. They also covered their skin with ground paste made from all sorts of leaves to mask their scents.

“Sir, we are only half a mile away from-” One of the camouflaged warriors was about to give his report when the person leading them suddenly did a ’shushing’ gesture.

“I see them…” Caecus pointed in a certain direction.

The average warrior wouldn’t be able to see it, but he could see a large number of dots moving in sync.

Hearing his words, his subordinates followed his gaze only to be left baffled.

They couldn’t see anything. All they could see was the vast grassland and the lush forest in the distance.

“Sir, is it the warriors of Harune?” One of his subordinates asked.

Caecus nodded. “I can’t tell their exact numbers, but there are hundreds of thousands of them.”

“Sir, how can you see them when you are-”

“A blind man cannot see through his eyes, but he can see the world through his mana…” He tried to explain, but it only made his subordinates even more confused.
