Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Gu Yuexi felt a little annoyed by the way Chu Sheng was looking at her.

But after Chu Sheng’s reminder, she quickly understood.

It must have been when Tang Jiesheng was about to escape, when the flash of lightning blocked their view.

Chu Sheng had secretly released an Outer Body Avatar, which attached itself to Tang Jiesheng’s real body without anyone noticing.

That’s why no matter what tricks Tang Jiesheng pulled, no matter how he used clones to confuse them, Chu Sheng could easily pinpoint Tang Jiesheng’s exact location through the senses of his Outer Body Avatar.

Back on Blue Star, Chu Sheng had used this trick to mess with quite a few families.

While the two were talking, Tang Jiesheng, who was on the ground and knew he wasn’t going to make it, struggled to beg for mercy.

”Milady... Lord Mosquito... I beg you, be the bigger person and spare me...”

”I have a treasury, filled with tens of thousands of years’ worth of treasures! I can give it all to you!”

”I only ask that you spare my worthless life!”

Gu Yuexi, who had just been put in her place by Chu Sheng, immediately took the opportunity to regain her pride with Tang Jiesheng.

She looked down on him condescendingly and spoke lightly.

”You’re talking about the Hundred Treasures Secret Realm, aren’t you.”

Tang Jiesheng was dumbfounded.

’How could Gu Yuexi know where I hide my treasures?’

’It must have been those two traitors, Huang Mao and Rat!’

’They sold me out!’

”Huang Mao! Rat! You two backstabbing bastards! How dare you betray me!”

”Even as a ghost, I won’t let you go!”

Tang Jiesheng roared in fury, his voice filled with venomous hatred.

Just as Tang Jiesheng was on his last breath, about to die, a ruthless glint flashed in his eyes, and he suddenly burned the last of his Divine Power and Divine Soul Origin.

”Damn you, woman!”

”Damn you, mosquito!”

”If you won’t spare me, then you can accompany me to hell!”

Gu Yuexi frowned slightly, thinking Tang Jiesheng was going to self-destruct to take them with him.

She immediately summoned a Divine Thought Cage, blocking the space in front of her and Chu Sheng.

However, Tang Jiesheng didn’t self-destruct.

He burned all his Divine Power and Divine Soul, emitting a very strange scent.

It was faint, a bit like the fragrance of gardenias, and it spread in all directions with the wind.

After doing all this, Tang Jiesheng’s head tilted to the side, and he was completely dead.

No explosion occurred. Everything was quiet.

Gu Yuexi and Chu Sheng looked at each other, both seeing confusion in the other’s eyes.

’Tang Jiesheng used his last breath just to spread a little fragrance?’

’That’s just too weird.’

Just as they were feeling puzzled, a dense BUZZING sound suddenly filled the air around them.

The human and the mosquito were all too familiar with this sound!

It was the sound of Soul-Collecting Butterflies flapping their wings!

And judging by the scale and density of the sound...

...there were at least a thousand of them!

Maybe even more!

Gu Yuexi’s expression changed in an instant.

She immediately understood what Tang Jiesheng had done before he died.

”Tang Jiesheng burned his Divine Power to spread the scent of his Divine Soul using a special ability.”

”Soul-Collecting Butterflies are extremely sensitive to the scent of a Divine Soul. By doing this, he could attract all the Soul-Collecting Butterflies in the vicinity.”

”He wanted us to be torn to shreds by the swarm of Soul-Collecting Butterflies and be buried with him!”

Gu Yuexi immediately pulled Chu Sheng onto her shoulder.

She turned, intending to use Instant Teleportation to leave.

However, as the Soul-Collecting Butterflies swarmed in from all directions, they released their unique Demon Beast Divine Domains.

The domains layered on top of one another, completely sealing off this area of space.

The Space Law was completely suppressed.

Never mind Instant Teleportation, she couldn’t even tear open a spatial rift!

”We’ll break through to the north.”

Gu Yuexi said in a grave tone, her sharp gaze sweeping northward.

”There are fewer Soul-Collecting Butterflies to the north. That’s the weak point.”

As she spoke, she tightened her grip on the Godslaying Ruins Sword.

She prepared to cut a bloody path forward with a single strike.

There were too many Soul-Collecting Butterflies, a sky-blotting swarm. Capturing them was out of the question.

The only thing they could do now was to carve a bloody path out and escape the North Suburban Forest before the encirclement was complete.

But just as Gu Yuexi was about to make her move, Chu Sheng stopped her again.

”Don’t rush.”

”Watch me.”

Gu Yuexi froze for a moment, inexplicably halting her attack.

Although she didn’t understand what Chu Sheng was about to do, she trusted him.

Chu Sheng didn’t waste any time. With a thought, he immediately began to grow larger.

Ten meters, a hundred meters, three hundred meters...

He only stopped when his body length exceeded five hundred meters.

His giant mosquito body stood in the forest like a black mountain.

His black carapace glinted with a cold, metallic luster, and his six long legs were like pillars holding up the sky.

The dense swarm of palm-sized Soul-Collecting Butterflies looked smaller than ants in the face of Chu Sheng’s massive form.

The leading Soul-Collecting Butterflies emitted waves of soul-stealing sound, their wings beating even faster.

They led the swarm behind them, blotting out the sky as they dove toward Chu Sheng.

They had been driven into a frenzy by the scent of the Divine Soul.

Their only thought was to tear apart the giant creature before them and suck its Divine Soul dry.

Chu Sheng stood his ground, motionless, not even twitching a wing.

[Ancient Calming God Spell! Activate!]

A faint golden halo spread out from Chu Sheng’s body, forming a solid Divine Soul Barrier.

A Divine Soul Attack is, in essence, an evolved version of a Spiritual Attack.

The Full Level Ancient Calming God Spell could not only block a Divine Soul Attack from a peer but could also reflect it right back at the attacker!

The Soul-Collecting Butterflies’ Enchanting Soul Technique slammed into the golden barrier.

Not only did it fail to harm Chu Sheng in the slightest, but it was also reflected back perfectly intact.

The several hundred Soul-Collecting Butterflies at the very front were instantly struck by their own Enchanting Soul Technique.

Their Divine Souls were shaken, and they dizzily dropped from the sky, crashing to the ground, unable to move.

The Soul-Collecting Butterflies would never have imagined in their entire lives that they would one day be dazed by their own Enchanting Soul Technique!

However, there were simply too many Soul-Collecting Butterflies.

They blotted out the sky, far more than just a thousand.

It seemed every Soul-Collecting Butterfly in the entire North Suburban Forest had been lured over by the scent of Tang Jiesheng’s Divine Soul!

After the Soul-Collecting Butterflies at the front failed with their Enchanting Soul Technique, the ones behind them immediately changed their strategy.

They stopped focusing on using the Enchanting Soul Technique.

Instead, they all dove toward Chu Sheng’s massive body, aiming their proboscises at his carapace and activating their [Soul Devourer] Skill.

The dense swarm of Soul-Collecting Butterflies covered Chu Sheng’s back and wings, trying to use their overwhelming numbers to suck his Divine Soul dry!

”No!”

Gu Yuexi’s face paled.

She thought Chu Sheng was using his large body to draw the attention of all the Soul-Collecting Butterflies to buy her time to escape.

She gritted her teeth.

She prepared to burn her Divine Soul and use a Secret Technique to forcibly raise her Realm and help Chu Sheng share the burden.

But just then, Chu Sheng moved.

As all the Soul-Collecting Butterflies flew near or latched onto his body, Chu Sheng’s compound eyes focused, and he swiftly activated [Ancestral Will].

A terrifying, supreme pressure originating from the depths of his Bloodline erupted from Chu Sheng in an instant, sweeping out in all directions.

The moment the pressure descended, all the Soul-Collecting Butterflies frantically activating Soul Devourer froze instantly.

The next second, they began raining from the sky, thudding against the ground in a chaotic heap.

All the Soul-Collecting Butterflies trembled, prostrating themselves on the ground, wings pressed tightly to their backs, not daring to look up.

The entire forest fell silent in an instant.

The buzzing sound of their wings from a moment ago vanished completely.

”Huh???”

Seeing this, Gu Yuexi’s hand, which was gripping her sword, froze.

Her eyes widened as she stared at the trembling Soul-Collecting Butterflies covering the ground.

Then she looked at the gigantic, mountain-like black mosquito before her, unable to process what had happened for a long moment.

’That’s...’

’...it?!!’
