Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 313: Chapter 313: The Master’s Command, Water Clone Gu Yuexi’s Strange Behavior

The core of the hive.

Qin Wudao’s voice echoed through the empty chamber, tinged with a hint of urgency and an unshakeable arrogance.

Under the Queen Bee’s frenzied attacks, he had been forced to propose a partnership with Gu Yuexi.

He had originally worried that, with her self-perceived cold and aloof personality, she would refuse.

But…

This time, Gu Yuexi’s expression was as placid as an old well as she uttered a single word:

“Alright.”

’So decisive?’

Qin Wudao, who was frantically dodging attacks, couldn’t help but freeze for a moment upon hearing her. His footwork slowed by half a beat, and one of the Queen Bee’s appendages nearly took off half his head.

An inexplicable, strange feeling welled up inside him.

’Could it be…’

’Could it be that she’s finally recognized my strength?’

’Or perhaps, has she finally seen how dangerous it is inside this hive and realized that she can only survive by depending on a powerhouse like me?’

’Yes! That must be it!’

’Women, no matter how cold and proud they act on the surface, are ultimately drawn to strength.’

’Faced with a true life-or-death crisis, she’s finally understood who the real man she can rely on is!’

“Hahaha! Excellent!”

Having figured this out, Qin Wudao instantly felt the frustration in his chest vanish, and his entire demeanor became high-spirited.

’It seems the day I completely pluck this unattainable flower is not far off!’

“Sister Gu, since you’re being so sensible, I won’t treat you poorly!”

Qin Wudao laughed heartily. The light from the Thunder Spear in his hand flared, and his aura surged like a rainbow.

“Come on! Let’s team up and slaughter this giant bug!”

…

In mid-air.

The “Gu Yuexi” who had agreed to cooperate was, of course, the Water Clone that Chu Sheng had summoned with his Water Mirror Technique.

She wasn’t having any complex psychological turmoil, much less was she moved by Qin Wudao’s “heroic posture.”

The only reason she had agreed so readily was purely because…

It was her master’s command.

Chu Sheng was her owner, and her “original body” was, in turn, her owner’s Master.

Therefore, the Water Clone would naturally help Gu Yuexi.

This was all at the behest of the “real Gu Yuexi,” who was currently hiding in the shadows and watching the show.

’Since someone’s willing to offer himself up as a free meat shield and hired muscle, why not use him?’

The Gu Yuexi Water Clone flickered, instantly transforming into a streak of light as she joined the battle.

BOOM—!

With the two of them joining forces, the previously one-sided situation was instantly alleviated.

Qin Wudao took the lead in the frontal assault, his wild and unrivaled Thunder Power clashing head-on with the Queen Bee’s physical attacks.

Meanwhile, the Gu Yuexi Water Clone weaved around the flanks, her Sword Qi as sharp as frost, specifically targeting the Queen Bee’s joints, compound eyes, and other weak points.

However, as the battle raged on, Qin Wudao grew more and more alarmed!

’Something’s not right!’

’Something is very wrong!’

Out of the corner of his eye, he kept glancing at the graceful figure in combat, and shock crashed through his heart like a tidal wave.

’Is… is this really Gu Yuexi?!’

’She’s way too strong!’

He watched as the Water Clone’s every sword strike carried a terrifying, heart-stopping might. Wherever her blade passed, it left gashes so deep you could see bone, even on the Queen Bee’s iron-hard carapace!

Moreover, her Speed, reflexes, and power were in no way inferior to his own, and he possessed a Thunder Spirit Body!

In certain bursts of power, she was even a notch above him!

’This is Fourth-Grade?’

’Fourth-Grade my ass!’

’If she’s Fourth-Grade, then what does that make me, a Seventh Grade Middle Stage cultivator?’

’A piece of trash?!’

Qin Wudao may be arrogant, but he wasn’t blind, and he certainly wasn’t an idiot.

The strength this Gu Yuexi was displaying had definitely reached Seventh-Grade! And the Peak of Seventh-Grade at that!

’How is that possible?’

’A first-year student, enrolled for only a few months—how could she possibly have the strength of the Peak of Seventh-Grade?’

’Even if she’d eaten an Immortal Pill and ridden a rocket, it’s impossible to level up that fast!’

’Could it be… she’s been hiding her strength all along?’

’No wonder!’

’This explains everything!’

’A woman even stronger than me…’

’How am I supposed to maintain my sense of superiority in front of her now? How am I supposed to make her fall head over heels for me?’

’And, most importantly…’

’If she really is this strong, then the ownership of this Emperor’s Soul Profound Crystal will be up for grabs!’

’Dammit!’

At this thought, he immediately became vigilant.

’I have to find a way to deal with the Queen Bee while also ensuring this woman gets seriously injured or uses up most of her power.’

’That way, I’ll still be the final winner!’

However, just as his mind was whirring with schemes…

The Queen Bee opposite them had clearly been thoroughly enraged by these two tiny humans!

“BZZZ—ROAR—!!!”

It abruptly opened its giant maw and let out a bloodcurdling roar.

Immediately after, a mental storm more terrifying than any before erupted from its center!

This Mental Power was so strong that it was causing tangible distortions, sending ripples through the surrounding Space!

Eighth-Grade!

The Spiritual Realm of this Queen Bee had shockingly reached the terrifying Eighth-Grade Early Stage!

“PFFT!”

Qin Wudao, who bore the brunt of it, spat out a mouthful of blood.

His previously rampaging thunderous assault instantly crumbled under this Spiritual Shock.

Even the Gu Yuexi Water Clone’s movements faltered, and the Spiritual Shield on her body flickered violently, clearly having taken a significant hit as well.

An Eighth-Grade Mental Power Attack against a Seventh-Grade Martial Artist was like a higher-dimensional being crushing a lower one!

“Dammit! This beast’s Mental Power is too strong! We can’t even get close!”

Qin Wudao clutched his splitting head, his face ashen, a true look of terror finally appearing in his eyes.

’If this keeps up, the two of us will be worn down and killed by this Queen Bee sooner or later!’

Just then, the “Gu Yuexi” who had been silent the whole time, merely focusing on dealing damage, suddenly spoke.

While swinging her sword to sever a few incoming appendages, she turned her head to Qin Wudao, her tone as cold as ever:

“Its Mental Power is too strong. We have to restrain it.”

“I have a Secret Technique that can forcibly immobilize its Divine Soul and physical body for at least thirty seconds.”

’What?!’

’Immobilize an Eighth-Grade Demon Beast? For thirty seconds?!’

Hearing this, Qin Wudao’s pupils contracted violently.

A Control Secret Technique of this caliber was simply unheard of!

’If it’s true, then this is our only chance to turn the tables!’

“Then what are you waiting for? Use it!”

Qin Wudao roared anxiously.

But the Gu Yuexi Water Clone didn’t act immediately. Instead, she looked at him coldly.

“Casting this technique requires a three-second channeling time.”

“During that time, I cannot move, nor can I defend myself.”

At this point, her meaning was crystal clear.

She needed Qin Wudao to withstand the rabid attacks of this Eighth-Grade Queen Bee, by himself, for a full three seconds!

“What? You want me to hold it off alone?”

Qin Wudao almost started cursing on the spot.

’Are you kidding me?!’

’The two of us together are getting beaten to a pulp, and she wants me to take it on alone? Isn’t that just sending me to my death?!’

“No way! It’s too dangerous! Find another way!”

Qin Wudao instinctively refused.

“There is no other way.”

The Gu Yuexi Water Clone’s voice was devoid of emotion, as if stating an objective fact.

“Either you hold it off for three seconds, I immobilize it, and we win.”

“Or, we all die here together.”

“The choice is yours.”

After speaking, she paid Qin Wudao no more heed. She held her longsword horizontally, seemingly prepared for mutual destruction.

Qin Wudao looked at the increasingly frenzied Queen Bee, then back at the resolute expression on “Gu Yuexi’s” face.

His face alternated between shades of green and white, his mind in a frantic struggle.

’Dammit! Dammit!’

’This woman is forcing my hand!’

’But… she’s right.’

’If I don’t take this gamble, we’re all really going to die here today!’

’Besides, if I can actually withstand this for three seconds and show that kind of heroic spirit that scoffs at death, maybe I can really conquer this woman completely!’

’Fortune favors the bold!’

’I’ll do it!’

“Alright! I’ll hold it off!”
