Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Just when Zhou Fengming felt utterly desperate and furious, Lu Yu was sitting at home, looking at the news page on his computer, his lips slightly upturned, revealing a highly playful smile.

The news in front of him, in just one morning, had accumulated over seventy million views. The wide reach could only be described as terrifying!

Not only that but below the news page, there were millions of netizens engaging in fierce discussions. Although most were filled with deep anger and hatred towards the Zhou Family, a small portion of ’netizens’ still held an opposing view.

The verbal battles between these two groups of netizens made the comments section extremely lively, which kept the news in the top spot, with no sign of declining.

”It seems this Zhang Ziqing is indeed an old hand. Using the debates among netizens to boost popularity is indeed a very effective method.”

After witnessing Zhang Ziqing’s operation, Lu Yu couldn’t help but genuinely admire him from the heart.

These media people are truly capable of flipping the sky and turning the tide with just a flick of the pen, making the Zhou Family the target of public criticism and scorn!

Lu Yu was very clear now that once this matter blew up, the auction of the Zhou Family’s real estate would definitely fall through completely.

Moreover, if this issue escalated, and the disciplinary committee from the Capital descended on Jinling City, then freezing all of their assets would be a certainty!

Thinking of this, Lu Yu’s lips curled up slightly, showing extreme delight.

Buzz!

Just as Lu Yu was secretly chuckling at the news page on the screen, his phone suddenly rang. Turning to look, it was Marcus calling.

”Marcus, how’s it going?”

Lu Yu spoke indifferently as he asked, with a tone of calm inquiry.

After discussing with Zhang Ziqing yesterday, Lu Yu had Marcus get in touch with the branch offices of Weibo, Twitter, and Facebook in Lin’an City to discuss buying attention.

Now that Marcus was calling, there must be news.

”Sir, everything’s settled. Weibo’s asking price is a bit high, but Twitter and Facebook’s prices are quite reasonable. Now, as long as you give the order, the popularity can spike immediately.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s inquiry, Marcus spoke respectfully.

”Great, Marcus, give them whatever they ask for; the money isn’t an issue now.”

Lu Yu spoke eloquently, as he had just swindled fifteen billion yuan from Zhou Fengming and didn’t care about money: ”The important thing is, have them hold off on boosting the popularity. When I say to, then you have them increase it!”

Lu Yu’s eyes flashed with a confident glint as he spoke.

”Sir, I don’t understand.”

Marcus said, puzzled, after hearing Lu Yu’s words, ”Shouldn’t we press our advantage now and make this the hottest topic, to apply pressure and render the opponent defenseless?”

Marcus understood very well the power of public opinion, and he didn’t understand why Lu Yu wanted to do this.

”It’s very simple, Marcus.”

Lu Yu smiled slightly, speaking patiently, ”First, it’s only been a morning, and we already have seventy million clicks. Our current media hype hasn’t really shown its full potential; there’s still extensive room for growth!”

Bear in mind, not everyone in the world likes watching the news in the morning. Some prefer noon, others in the evening, and some hear from others, so Lu Yu decided to wait a bit, to let this matter simmer.

Pausing here, Lu Yu’s smile grew even more inscrutable: ”Second, in a duel, there are naturally moves and countermoves; we should wait for them to make a move as well.”

With a playful tone, Lu Yu spoke, although not fully versed in media manipulation, he understood a fundamental rule.

That is, don’t lay all your cards on the table at once; the more you hold back, the greater your chance of winning!

On the surface, Zhou Fengming seemed cornered, but Lu Yu knew this couldn’t end so simply!

As the saying goes, a dead camel is still bigger than a horse, a rotten ship still has three pounds of nails, and the Zhou Family, having lasted a century, still has some connections.

If he acted rashly now and revealed all his cards, and they counterattacked, he could find himself on the defensive.

More seriously, his strategy might even be overturned!

So, for all these reasons, Lu Yu wasn’t rushing into action; he was waiting until Zhou Fengming was completely immobilized, then he’d strike him down!

At that point, Zhou Fengming would be completely at his mercy, with no chance to fight back!

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Marcus, after a moment’s reflection, understood the subtleties, and his voice came through the phone, ”Wise, sir. So shall we just wait patiently?”

Marcus spoke humbly, as if both asking and seeking guidance.

”Exactly.”

Hearing this, Lu Yu responded,”We’re in a position of absolute advantage. No need to rush, let’s see what other tricks Zhou Fengming might have; we have nothing to lose.”

Lu Yu planned to wait; if Zhou Fengming had hidden tricks, this delay would allow him to counter them, trouncing him again.

And if Zhou Fengming had no more tricks, Lu Yu’s current measures would suffice to utterly crush Zhou Fengming, leaving him defenseless!

Lu Yu’s strategies were seasoned and prudent, capable of both attack and defense, truly wise beyond measure!

”Understood! At your orders, sir!”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Marcus replied.

”By the way, Marcus, get me an electric chair; I’ll need it in a couple of days.”

Suddenly, the thought crossed Lu Yu’s mind, and he mentioned it to Marcus on the phone.

Now that Zhou Fengming was essentially a spent force, and with this media battle lost, it was time for him to personally eliminate Zhou Fengming!

The Zhou Family was virtually finished, but Zhou Fengming was still alive. Lu Yu intended to kill Zhou Fengming by his own hand, to honor his parents in heaven!

Zhou Fengming was stronger, so Lu Yu would have to resort to extreme methods to personally eliminate him!
