Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue

Lumine was the first to benefit from the dolphin’s blessing. Under their guidance, her swimming speed increased to a degree she had never imagined. In the blink of an eye, she was back on her boat.

Klee waved her hands happily, leading her group of little ones to continue riding the dolphins. Lumine watched them with a hint of envy before rowing toward Ryen.

”That’s too much, Ryen!” Lumine stood with her hands on her hips, pouting at him. ”Why didn’t you tell me there were dolphins to play with? If I’d known, I wouldn’t have gone to the Ocean Monument.”

Ryen laughed, teasing her. ”Wasn’t it you who insisted on going? You said the process of exploring the new continent should be full of unknown expectations.”

Lumine pouted resentfully and muttered, ”I was just saying that! The Ocean Monument was dark and creepy, there was nothing there, and there were so many Guardians attacking. Even if it was exciting, compared to playing with dolphins, it was totally boring!”

Ryen shook his head with a smile. ”Maybe next time. There are plenty of dolphins in the sea, and we will have many more chances to go out on the water.”

He reached out, pulled Lumine onto his boat, and pinched her cheek. ”So, how was the harvest?”

”Aren’t you going to ask if I’m hurt?” Lumine stared at him plaintively. Ryen shrugged. ”If you were hurt, you’d be clinging to me and acting spoiled by now.”

Lumine huffed. Seeing the others gathering around curiously, she took out the loot from the bottom of the Ocean Monument.

”Besides diamonds and such, there’s a Tamer of Thunder wand, two spell scrolls, and two strange books. Oh! Right, there’s this weird thing too. A... little bottle?”

Seeing Lumine take out the treasures one by one, Ryen was quite surprised. ”That’s quite a haul.”

”Heh! Before I left, I borrowed some good luck from Ganyu!” Lumine lifted her head proudly and handed the bottle to Ryen. ”What is this? It looks so pretty, like a thundercloud trapped inside a bottle.”

Ryen checked the introduction for the Witchery mod provided by the system. After flipping through it for a moment, he nodded with a smile.

”You guessed right. This is literally a thundercloud trapped in a bottle. It’s an accessory, a rare-level accessory.”

The group looked at the bottle with amazement. It wasn’t that Teyvat lacked similar devices, on the contrary, they were common enough. Adepti arts could fit small worlds into containers. But fitting a natural phenomenon like a storm inside a container was truly rare. Ningguang was already wondering if they could study this to create something entirely new.

”Bottled Thundercloud: A rare-level accessory pendant. It has only one function: when you cast a Rain-calling spell, it triggers a thunderstorm. It’s essentially a magic accessory that influences the weather. In a thunderstorm, the power of many spells is significantly increased.”

Lumine was amazed. ”In that case, as long as I carry this pendant and have a Rain-calling spell, can I call myself the Third Generation Electro Archon?”

Ei pouted but did not refute this. From a certain perspective, being able to trigger a thunderstorm was indeed the authority of an Electro Archon. However, she could only trigger it freely if she connected to the leylines of Inazuma. In other nations, while possible, it was troublesome and the effect was poor. She could not achieve it as effortlessly as this Bottled Thundercloud.

”This Bottled Thundercloud might have other effects in Teyvat, unlike here where it’s so simple. Regardless, it’s a good item. Keep it safe.”

Ryen wasn’t particularly interested in the item. Apart from looking nice, it wasn’t worth much attention. If it had been a Strange Pocket Watch, he might have been thrilled, that could turn time-lag spells into true time-stopping abilities.

”Don’t you want it?” Lumine asked curiously. Ryen shook his head and took the spell scrolls to examine them. After a moment, his expression turned to one of surprise.

”These two spell scrolls are quite something!”

”What is it? What is it!” Hu Tao poked her head over, looking at Ryen with anticipation. He pointed to one of the scrolls.

”This is a Master-level spell: Summon Storm Elemental.”

”What?! Summon Venti!” Guizhong shouted loudly. Venti’s face darkened as he grumbled, ”What do you mean summon me!”

”Isn’t a Storm Elemental just a Wind Elemental?” Guizhong asked, looking at Venti as if it were obvious. ”Aren’t you a wind sprite by nature?”

Venti pouted. ”I’m a wind sprite, not a Storm Elemental!”

”Hmm...” Paimon scratched her cheek and muttered, ”Is there a difference?”

Venti opened his mouth to argue, but Ryen spoke first. ”Of course there is a difference!”

Venti froze, looking at Ryen with genuine emotion. He never expected Ryen to be the one defending his reputation! But before he could be moved for long, Ryen spread his hands.

”Storm Elementals are completely immune to Electro damage and most Fire damage! Can Venti do that? So, a Storm Elemental is much stronger than Venti! If Storm Elementals had appeared in Teyvat earlier, would there even be a need for Venti?”

Venti went silent. He glared at Ryen for a long time before huffing and turning his head away. Ryen stifled a laugh and explained earnestly.

”Although it’s just a spell scroll, it can serve as a life-saving trump card. The Summon Storm Elemental spell is a very powerful summoning spell. As I said, Storm Elementals can immunize against Electro and most Fire damage. Furthermore, they lack a physical form, so physical attacks are ineffective against them.”

”They have explosive power in this world. Even in Teyvat, because of their pure elemental nature, they might even reach the strength of a Demon God. It’s a pity this is just a spell scroll; it can only exist for less than a minute after being summoned. If it were a spell book, we’d have hit the jackpot.”

Ryen shook his head regretfully. ”Still, it’s a good ace in the hole. Put it away.”

Seeing Ryen casually hand Lumine another super-weapon, Aether’s eyes turned red with envy.

”Ryen, what about this scroll?” Lumine pointed to the remaining spell scroll. Ryen said casually, ”That? That’s not a spell scroll; that’s a wand upgrade scroll. It upgrades the duration of the spell.”

”We can synthesize these ourselves. It’s not difficult, but we haven’t found any inherent Witchery structures like ruins or libraries, so we can’t upgrade much right now. Keep it for now.”

Ryen turned to Ningguang, who looked like she wanted to say something, and chuckled. ”You don’t need to be anxious. I know how to craft these. Like this one: four crystal blocks, two redstone dusts, two clocks, and one appraisal scroll.”

”The others are about the same, but even if we mass-produced them, it’s useless. We don’t have an Arcane Workbench with us, and even if we did, there’s no need to fuss over this. If it’s not a Master-level wand, there’s no need to coordinate upgrades. Let’s focus on upgrading the wand level first.”

Ningguang nodded and abandoned the idea of recording the synthesis table for the scrolls.

”As for these two books...” Ryen looked at Lumine with surprise. He really hadn’t expected her luck to be this good. Was it possible... that luck borrowed from Ganyu could actually be transferred?

”One is a Thunder-attribute Master-level spell, perfect for Lisa’s Thunderclap Wand.”

”Thousand Thunder Roar.”

Lisa perked up. If her Thunderclap Wand only relied on the spells from the Twilight Forest Witchery bundle, it would be a top-tier configuration, but now, with the entire Witchery mod, those spells were falling behind. That wand offered a sixty percent elemental enhancement, which was incredibly significant for her. Finally, would she have a suitable spell to pair with it?

Ryen gently flipped through the spell book. ”Roar of the Angry Thunder, I dwell within. Can you guess the ability of this spell?” He left them in suspense.

Lisa asked curiously, ”Is it summoning thunder?”

Ryen nodded with a smile. ”Exactly. Release the spell, and countless lightning bolts will descend with you as the center. The instantaneous damage is enough to force a target to lose half their vitality.”

”When it touches a living creature, the thunder will spread into electric chains, passing damage to other creatures. This is a Master-level spell with maxed-out attack power. Once you equip it, you can truly call yourself the God of Thunder.”

He handed the spell book to Lisa, who took it with loving eyes, examining it over and over. This would be the first powerful spell for her Master-level wand.

”Wait until we land on the New Continent and use the Arcane Workbench to install it.” Ryen said casually, then continued, ”To be honest, the scrolls and spell books aren’t actually Lumine’s biggest treasure this time.”

”Compared to this last book, even that accessory and the previous spell book pale in comparison.”

Ryen solemnly held up the book. It looked similar to the spell book, but the symbols on the cover were unique. Lumine had originally thought they were just different markings for different spells. The book was entirely purple, glowing with a faint radiance and exuding a bewitching power.

”Ryen, what book is this? Is it important?” Ganyu asked curiously. Ryen nodded decisively.

”Important! Extremely important! You could say that the entire Witchery mod depends on this resource. If you want to become stronger, this is something you must obtain.”

”But this book is incredibly difficult to craft. The best option is to find it in a treasure chest. And Lumine actually found it in a chest! I don’t know whether to say Ganyu has good luck or Lumine does.”

Ryen sighed with emotion. Lumine pouted and complained, ”Stop keeping us in suspense! What book is this? What does it do?”

Ryen raised an eyebrow, lifted the book in his hand, and laughed.

”Haven’t you always wanted to upgrade your Intermediate wands to Master wands?”

”This book is called the Arcane Compendium.”

”It has only one function: to increase the level of the wand.”

”In other words, it allows a qualified Intermediate wand to become a true Master-level wand.”
