Seeing Lumine kneel and surrender so decisively, Scaramouche felt even more stifled.

So…

I was beaten by an aunt who has absolutely no backbone like this?

How humiliating!

Once he got his hands on a staff and grew stronger, he would definitely reclaim the dignity he had lost.

”Alright, aside from what I’ve already mentioned, let’s talk about some key points next.”

Ryen took out a book, the introductory guide that comes with Witchery. There was simply too much content in Witchery: scattered across hundreds upon hundreds of interconnected new items.

”Next are weapons and tools. For tools, there are the Spectral Pickaxe, the Blazing Axe, and the Frost Axe.”

”These are all created through spells. As for the remaining weapons, bows, hammers, and the like, they’re also spell-created.”

”They’re very powerful. As for their exact effects, you’ll understand once you obtain the corresponding spells.”

”In addition, there are throwable items: incendiary bombs, venom bombs, smoke bombs, lightning bombs. Nothing special, just treat them like grenades.”

”Next comes the most important part: staves and Witchery armor sets…”

Ryen paused, then joked:

”Or should we talk about the new monsters first?”

”...”

”I’m kidding.”

He smiled and continued calmly:

”There’s no need to go into detail about staves. You all already have advanced-tier staves. Now that Witchery is unlocked, you just need to spend some time upgrading them to master-tier.”

”Then, use the Arcane Worktable to swap in specific spells.”

”Besides that, staves also need upgrades. There are many upgrade paths.”

”Mana storage, mana absorption, mana condensation, spell range, spell duration, cooldown reduction, area of effect, spell slots, and staff melee capability.”

”Every upgrade is effective. How you choose is up to you.”

”In any case, I doubt any of you will end up using just one staff forever. Plan accordingly.”

”Of course, if you feel one staff is enough and the spell combination is perfect, ”

”As long as you don’t mind the workload, you can stack all those effects onto a single staff.”

”Trust me. The process is grueling, but the resulting staff will be terrifyingly strong.”

”Upgrading staves requires scrolls. The materials for scrolls aren’t complicated either. You can copy the details from this book later.”

”Don’t lose it, otherwise I’ll beat you up.”

Hearing this familiar threat, Scaramouche felt conflicted.

Now he finally understood where Lumine had learned her intimidation tactics.

”Also, to upgrade an advanced staff to a master-tier staff, you need to max out proficiency, then use the corresponding Arcane Tome.”

”Of course, if you’re feeling lazy, you can also trade with wizards at wizard towers.”

”Wizard towers are a newly generated structure. They’re fairly easy to find.”

”Remember this: don’t attack the wizards inside, and don’t break the blocks in the tower.”

”Each wizard tower has only one wizard researching a specific attribute. If you anger him, he’ll attack you.”

”Whether the wizard is strong or not is secondary. The main problem is that once angered, he’ll never trade with you again.”

”Fools who sell magic items for diamonds and emeralds aren’t exactly common.”

Ningguang carefully wrote this down, this definitely needed to be emphasized to the Millelith.

Otherwise, someone might attack a wizard during exploration and permanently lose trading access.

”There’s one more thing. At the top of some wizard towers, an evil wizard can spawn. Evil wizards have red eyes.”

”In that case, feel free to attack.”

”It’s worth noting that in those towers, killing the evil wizard will cause a treasure chest to appear.”

”There are good things inside.”

Since wizard towers had come up, Ryen naturally continued with the other generated structures. After all, exploration would be handled by the Millelith, and Witchery introduced no small amount of danger.

”Witchery generates four types of structures.”

”Besides wizard towers, there are obelisks. Obelisks have elemental attributes, and near them, Wraiths will spawn.”

”Defeating Wraiths drops Spirit Dust.”

”The loot chests near obelisks contain many good items, spell upgrade scrolls, spell books, and the like.”

”Oh, and Spirit Dust is also an important material. It can be given to Albedo for research.”

”But only after we’re wealthy enough.”

”Spirit Dust is a mandatory consumable for the Infusion Altar. It’s extremely important.”

”I’ll explain how the Infusion Altar works once we have the materials.”

”Besides obelisks, there are shrines. Their loot chests also contain many treasures, accessories, spell books, and so on.”

”After that, there are library ruins. These contain Arcane Tomes, and there’s a high chance they’re master-tier. Remember this well.”

Ryen wasn’t speaking quickly, but everyone’s notes were already struggling to keep up.

There was no choice but to pause and wait.

Even Ryen himself flipped through the book, checking the detailed entries.

Witchery was comprehensive and powerful, but correspondingly, it was as complex as the firearms mod.

Although only a little over a thousand new items were added, they were tightly interconnected.

For example, Spirit Dust could only drop from Wraiths.

To find Wraiths, you had to locate obelisks.

Spirit Dust was used in the Infusion Altar.

The Infusion Altar itself could only be found in library ruins.

And its purpose was to convert attributes, specifically, the attributes of Witchery armor sets.

This wasn’t nesting dolls.

It was a process chain.

Absurdly complicated.

Even Ryen, flipping through his notes, couldn’t fully wrap his head around it in a short time.

Considering there were three mods introduced at once, he estimated that fully understanding Witchery alone would take at least half a year.

But time…

He had plenty of it.

Twilight Forest no longer needed attention. He could focus entirely on the overworld.

Recently, everyone hadn’t been exploring the overworld together as frequently as before.

The opening of new mods was a perfect opportunity.

After the Lantern Rite, after wrapping up Sumeru’s affairs, they could make a trip to Inazuma.

Ryen planned to take everyone across the sea to the new continent.

First, to scout the area and establish a foothold.

Second, to treat it as a long-overdue spring outing.

That new continent likely held many treasures.

According to Beidou, it was a landmass not much smaller than the current continent.

Lost in thought, Ryen suddenly felt someone poke him.

He came back to his senses and saw Ganyu beside him, looking curious.

”You’re done taking notes?”

”Yes…”

Ganyu lifted her notebook for him to see. Ryen smiled and gently rubbed her head.

”Next are the Witchery armor sets.”

”Basically, there are four categories: Wizard, Sage, Battlemage, and Warlock sets.”

”The Wizard set is the base set. But even so, it’s not weak.”

”The Wizard set focuses on reducing spell cost. The Sage set focuses on reducing mana consumption.”

”The Battlemage set focuses on reducing cooldowns. As for the Warlock set…”

”It provides the highest cooldown reduction, higher durability, and increased movement speed.”

”However, keep in mind that none of these four sets have particularly high defense.”

”They’re more like equipment designed to enhance magic.”

”Hmm… fits the image of mages being glass cannons.”

Hearing this, Ningguang and Lisa immediately pinched Ryen in annoyance.

That one sentence had lumped most of the mages present into the ”fragile” category.

Ryen laughed. Neither of them used much force, it was more like affectionate nudging.

He casually pulled both of them closer and said in a low voice:

”I misspoke. Not all mages are fragile. For example, the two of you, I’m very aware of how well-endowed you are.”

Lisa rolled her eyes.

”Is this really the time for remarks like that?”

Ryen shrugged and continued:

”The Wizard set is the foundation for all sets. Its crafting difficulty isn’t high.”

”All you need is Enchanted Fabric. Enchanted Fabric is made from four threads and one magic crystal.”

”So I suspect Enchanted Fabric would also make excellent cloth.”

”You might consider adding it as a new product.”

Ningguang looked at Ryen with a hint of amusement.

”And you didn’t think of letting Albedo research Enchanted Fabric first?”

”You just reminded me!”

Ryen clapped his hands and turned to Ganyu.

”Ganyu, write that down, have Albedo research this too!”

”...”

Ningguang rubbed her forehead with a headache.

She had a feeling she had just thoroughly dragged Albedo into even more trouble.

”As for the remaining items, they’re spell-enhancing accessories.”

”I’ve already talked about them quite a bit, their tiers, enhancement effects, and so on.”

”You all understand them well enough. I don’t need to repeat myself, right?”

”This time, there are just more accessories.”

”If you encounter something unfamiliar, bring it back and let me take a look.”

”Or copy it from my book.”

”There are too many accessories. If I explained them all, I’d die of exhaustion.”

Hearing this, Hu Tao cheerfully shook her head.

”No need, no need! This Hall Master still has the engagement ring you gave me!”

”???”

Guizhong stared blankly at Hu Tao, then at Ryen.

Only then did she notice that Ganyu and the others were also wearing rings.

Instantly, Guizhong felt wronged.

Even though she wasn’t ready to announce her relationship with Ryen yet,

At the very least… she wanted some reassurance!

Ryen sighed and quietly sent Guizhong a message.

”Don’t worry. I’ll find you a ring too, later.”

Only then did Guizhong’s expression improve.

”That’s it for accessories. In Witchery, staves, armor sets, and materials make up half the system.”

”The other half is spells.”

”Do I really need to explain spells again?”

Ryen spread his hands, half-joking:

”There are over 180 spells. If I explained them all, I’d die right here.”

Scaramouche looked anxiously at Makoto.

They all already knew what spells were like, but he was still completely in the dark!

Just moments ago, he had heard about miraculous Slash Blades.

About master-tier staves that boosted elemental power by sixty percent.

No exaggeration,

Compared to those two things, a Gnosis was absolute trash.

With a staff and a Slash Blade in hand, he could instantly become a true god.

Far better than a Gnosis that even caused backlash.

The path to godhood was right in front of him!

He desperately wanted to hear about spells, to know what Lumine had used against him.

And now Ryen didn’t want to explain?

Unacceptable!

Scaramouche decisively turned to his aunt for help. He trusted she would get him a good outcome.

Sure enough, seeing Scaramouche’s gaze, Makoto sighed helplessly and shook her head.

”Ryen, just briefly explain the more important spells.”

”So we can be prepared.”

Hearing this, everyone nodded in agreement.

Ordinary spells were fine, but,

Time-stopping spells and the like were better known in advance.

Fortunately, Ryen didn’t refuse.
