Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue

”What a strange sight…”

A middle-aged man dressed like a Liyue scholar stared at the massive screen in front of him, puzzled.

”I’ve studied ancient texts my whole life, and I’ve never seen anything like this… To display scenes from thousands of miles away before our eyes— Could this be the immortals’ illusionary ’Mirror Flower, Water Moon’ art?”

Hearing this, Baiwen didn’t mind explaining.

The Tianyan System, in fact, was often more effective when made public than when hidden in the shadows. At the very least, from now on, anyone—especially shady merchants or outsiders with ill intent—would have to think twice before doing anything reckless.

After all, eyes were watching from every direction.

With a soft chuckle, Baiwen explained:

”This is the Tianyan System. It’s part of Liyue’s large-scale renovation in recent times. As long as a camera is in place, every move in Liyue can be seen clearly by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Qixing.”

That revelation startled quite a few people— Especially those who had guilty consciences, now breaking into cold sweats.

Baiwen’s gaze passed over the few whose expressions looked unnatural. She smirked coldly.

”From now on, before you do anything, ask yourself—can you avoid Liyue’s surveillance? If it’s something that shouldn’t be done, you’d best stop now.”

”The Tianyan System was created to ensure internal order in Liyue Harbor. If anyone dares break the law, this system will become their death knell.”

Everyone quickly shook their heads, swearing they would never dare.

After a while, Liu Su asked somewhat hesitantly:

”Secretary Baiwen, has the Tianyan System already been installed everywhere…?”

”Don’t worry,” Baiwen replied, shaking her head. ”It’s only been installed throughout public streets and areas. I won’t go into specifics, but rest assured—your private residences are untouched.”

”The Ministry of Civil Affairs respects the need for privacy. The system was designed purely to deter wrongdoing.”

”In fact, it’s already been running for some time. You may have noticed that lately, any illegal activity in Liyue Harbor is dealt with and arrests are made within a day. That’s the Tianyan System at work.”

”As long as you obey the law, the Tianyan System will only serve to protect your safety and livelihood.”

”Only the Qixing and designated Ministry officials have access to the system. So there’s no need to worry about personal lives being spied on.”

Hearing that, the surrounding crowd finally let out a sigh of relief.

”That’s great! With this system in place, shady merchants won’t dare act dirty anymore!”

”And the Qixing aren’t going to randomly pry into our personal lives anyway!”

”Exactly! Whoever objects to the Tianyan System must have something to hide!”

”We fully support Lady Ningguang and the Ministry’s decision!”

”If my conscience is clear, why would I fear surveillance? Anyone who complains clearly has skeletons in their closet—perfect for the Ministry to investigate!”

Those with secrets remained nervous— but since everyone else supported it, they couldn’t oppose it openly.

Otherwise, the Ministry might zero in on them and start digging into their books— and those books definitely wouldn’t survive scrutiny.

As for the honest folks, they welcomed the Tianyan System.

If they encountered injustice in the future, they could just go to the Ministry— the surveillance footage would be the most direct evidence.

In fact, it seemed like Liyue’s public safety would only get better from now on.

Not far away, Yanfei stood in thought, mulling over how to work with the Tianyan System to further revise Liyue’s legal code.

Elsewhere, Tartaglia and Rosalyne watched and exchanged glances after hearing about the system’s power.

”So that’s where that feeling of being watched came from…” Tartaglia sighed.

”I guess Ningguang’s seen everything I’ve done lately. Honestly, this thing’s kind of terrifying when you think about it.”

Rosalyne nodded slightly and added in a low voice:

”But it’s effective. If we had access to it, Her Majesty could silently monitor those two freaks—The Jester and The Doctor.”

”Heh…” Tartaglia gave a wry chuckle. He didn’t comment on her suggestion.

”Monitoring them… depends on whether we’re even given access to this thing.”

”Forget it. Let’s just watch how Ningguang plans to handle Beisht and Osial first.”

The Jade Chamber drifted leisurely forward, wrapped in an immortal forcefield, cutting through the raging storm.

It finally reached a position not far from Osial.

Ningguang brought the Jade Chamber to a halt. Below, the steel warships also stopped their engines.

There weren’t hundreds of ships charging across the sea, but the five massive battleships, combined with the fully-evolved combat fortress that the Jade Chamber had become, was enough to inspire awe across the world.

Maybe in a few more years, when the real naval modules were released— the entire ocean would be filled with Liyue’s warships.

Beyond the barrier, wind and rain howled. Inside, peace reigned, and laughter echoed through the calm skies.

On the Jade Chamber’s plaza, a grand banquet was underway. Venti, at some unknown point, had slipped into the immortal crowd— now hanging off Lishui’s shoulders, drunkenly toasting with him.

Logically, everyone should be serious—facing Osial. But the immortals hardly cared about the demon god anymore.

Liyue had grown so strong, they didn’t need to worry.

So why stress? Why overthink it?

Meanwhile, Ningguang and Keqing were still focused on their duties. They quietly observed the sea before them.

Suddenly, Ningguang let out a laugh.

”It seems the Archon was worried Osial alone wouldn’t be enough of a challenge for us.”

”First sea beasts, then the Fatui vanguard… and now—Beisht?”

From the waters below, Beisht was surging swiftly toward the Jade Chamber.

Yet Ningguang showed no urgency.

After all, no matter how close Beisht was to being a demon god— she was still just a servant of a god.

And if she wasn’t a true god, Liyue could deal with her easily.

Keqing, already aware that all of this was Zhongli’s test for Liyue’s path toward self-rule, watched the surveillance screen with growing excitement.

”Attack?”

”Not yet.” Ningguang shook her head.

”Beisht is still underwater. We can’t strike her accurately yet. But don’t worry—she’ll come out eventually. With Osial about to break free, she’ll definitely try to buy him time.”

Beside her, Beidou frowned slightly.

”The Jade Chamber floats high above, so we don’t need to worry much. But what about the warships on the sea and the Qianyan Army?”

Hearing that, Ningguang exchanged glances with Ganyu and the others. Then they all smiled knowingly.

”If she dares try ramming the warships from beneath the sea, that would be her most foolish mistake.”

Ningguang said this with deliberate mystery.

If it were ordinary ships—even one as tough as the Stellar Predator—a full-speed charge from Beisht would’ve shattered it.

But these were warships crafted entirely from iron blocks, built using Redstone technology.

These weren’t conventional vessels.

They were infused with the laws of two different worlds.

Didn’t they move using redstone circuits? That alone said enough—Teyvat’s native energy systems weren’t even capable of driving them.

If Osial struck, maybe he could do some damage.

But Beisht?

Her skull might break, but the ships would be just fine.

Ningguang was just about to explain this to Beidou when suddenly, a great wave surged beneath one of the ships.

A dark shape streaked by.

A muffled crash echoed across the sea.

And then…

Everything fell momentarily still.

”Did… she actually hit it?”

Hu Tao stared at Ningguang with an odd expression. Ningguang simply covered her mouth and chuckled softly.

”There were so many ways to declare war, yet she had to pick the dumbest one…”

That blow must’ve knocked Beisht senseless.

Ningguang and the others still managed to keep their composure—at least enough not to laugh outright.

But down below, the Qianyan soldiers burst out laughing.

They’d never seen someone so thick-headed.

Those ships were solid iron blocks! And the base was reinforced with obsidian…

She actually dared ram into that?

Could she not tell something was wrong with these warships?

After a short lull, the sea began to rage again.

It seemed Beisht had grown even angrier.

The waves surged with fury, as though they would swallow the fleet whole.

Finally, Beisht emerged from beneath the waves.

Her body was long and sleek, glowing deep blue. At most, she was only half the size of Osial.

Ryen glanced at her and felt even more contempt toward Osial.

This was only half his size—probably just a child in Osial’s eyes?

He could do something like that?

Disgusting. Even worse than Venti.

”So she finally shows herself,” Ningguang grew serious, playing with the gemstone in her hand.

”Don’t move the warships. Let the dragons have their fun.”

Though the Qianyan troops were itching for a fight, they were curious to see what kind of strength those twenty-plus dragons held.

They agreed quickly and turned their eyes toward the distant Beisht.

Beisht let out a sky-shaking roar. From her mouth, a brilliant beam began to form— Dense water-elemental energy swirled rapidly.

She was just about to unleash her fury on the warships—

But in that instant, the entire dragon flock hovering above let out a synchronized roar, tearing through the skies as they dove down together.

Dozens of dragon breaths rained from the sky like divine judgment.

Flames, vegetation, ice, torrents—

Those four elemental types were still understandable.

But then came the others.

Crimson beams, soaked in pure death intent.

Pale skeletal dragons, whose breath seemed like high-corrosion venom.

A purplish-black Ender Dragon beam—striking Beisht and immediately melting a massive hole in her body.

A burst of ether particles from an Aether Dragon, disassembling her on the spot.

More than twenty streams of dragon breath hit Beisht with precision.

Her own attack was interrupted.

She thrashed in agony, trying to dive back into the sea.

But the dragons were already upon her.

There was no escape.

Though the dragons weren’t bigger than her, they were close.

A few quick and nimble dragons grabbed at her limbs and body, pulling her into the sky.

It looked like a group of eagles dragging a giant serpent into the air.

Before the stunned crowd, the other dragons circled with lightning speed. Their razor claws swept down—

Beisht, completely helpless, was sliced apart piece by piece.

Before long, her body was riddled with wounds.

Anyone watching could tell—

She had no way to survive this.

With perfect coordination, the dragons dragged Beisht hundreds of meters into the air.

Then, they let go.

Beisht, battered and broken, began to fall freely.

But the dragons weren’t finished.

More than twenty dragons formed a circle. And then—

An even stronger volley of dragon breath roared out, all striking Beisht midair.

At that moment, she looked like a miniature sun.

Elemental explosions lit up the sky— Aether dragon breath and other unique forces swirling together.

And in a matter of seconds—

Beisht exploded, raining down fragments of glowing light into the sea.

The once-feared demon god’s consort— Osial’s wife, Beisht...

Was annihilated.
