For those who had witnessed the power of firearms before, seeing so many submachine guns neatly laid out like this was a tremendously powerful visual shock.

For those who hadn’t, it was even more so.

Although they didn’t quite understand how these things worked, that didn’t stop them from having a good impression of the submachine guns.

With a thought, Ryen summoned the detailed information of the MP5 in front of his eyes.

He also began explaining it calmly to the others.

”Model: MP5. Rate of fire: 800 rounds per minute. Standard magazine capacity: 15 rounds. Ammo type: 9mm.”

”Can be equipped with sights, foregrips, suppressors, extended magazines… Of course, I haven’t installed any of those.”

”It’s hailed as the AK-47 of submachine guns—not necessarily the strongest among them, but definitely one of the most famous.”

This was one of the only few weapons Ryen had found last night after hours of research that could be made with just steel plates.

Sure, the 9mm bullet didn’t deal immense damage, but it was good enough.

Not all creatures could withstand the universal truth of modern firearms.

At the very least, if you used this gun to deal with hilichurls or even berserker hilichurls, a single burst would be enough to riddle them with holes.

As for the so-called Fatui modified soldiers…

Fire lances vs. MP5?

That was a hellish joke akin to cavalry charging a tank.

Seeing everyone staring at him in curiosity, Ryen tapped a button beside him.

A moment later, several armor stands suddenly popped up on the nearby open ground.

Five sets of iron armor, completely covering the frames.

Ryen raised an eyebrow and smiled cheerfully:

”Watch carefully.”

As he spoke, he deftly pulled the charging handle and shouldered the weapon.

He pulled the trigger.

In the next moment, bullets burst out like an endless string of firecrackers, crashing into the iron armor with sharp whistling sounds.

Visibly to the naked eye, the armor, which had been perfectly intact moments ago, was riddled with countless holes in an instant.

In the blink of an eye, the first magazine was empty.

Ryen smoothly pulled out another from his backpack, reloaded, and fired off another burst.

All in all, it took less than ten seconds for Ryen to empty three magazines.

And the armor sets? They were already in tatters.

Waving the submachine gun in his hand, Ryen smiled and said:

”How does it feel?”

However, the others only stared at him blankly, seemingly still trying to process what they had just seen.

Zhongli was the first to recover, giving a small nod.

”The power of this weapon is indeed considerable. However, against stronger beings of Teyvat, it likely wouldn’t pose much danger.”

The implication being: this gun was more than sufficient for clearing out most monsters—but it would have difficulty injuring true powerhouses.

Still, that was enough.

After all, true high-level beings of Teyvat—Archons and even their followers—were capable of reshaping the terrain with ease.

Jean could summon howling winds across hundreds of meters. Lisa could call down thunderstorms.

And the Archons? They were born with the power to rewrite heaven and earth.

Ryen never expected such a weapon to be effective against Archons anyway.

Using an anti-air gun on a mosquito made sense. Using it on Godzilla? That was just ridiculous.

”This kind of weapon is a basic, conventional firearm. It’s not too difficult to manufacture, so it can be mass-produced.”

”If it were truly capable of threatening the powerful, I wouldn’t have made so many of them.”

Ryen chuckled and didn’t explain further.

In modern warfare—like Vic’s world—firearms were primarily meant to equip the lower ranks.

But to say there were no weapons that could threaten strong individuals?

Now that would be a joke.

If submachine guns didn’t work, what about machine guns?

A dozen machine guns firing at once could produce a storm of steel capable of tearing down city walls—how could it not kill a person?

And if even that didn’t work—just bring out the RPGs!

A hundred RPGs firing in unison—if even one hit near a powerful enemy, they’d definitely suffer for it.

If push really came to shove…

Ryen could always build a small ”Peace Bomb” later.

A true instrument of equality.

The others finally snapped out of their daze. Diluc, in particular, was gazing at the firearm with burning eyes.

The smoky scent from the fired bullets was sharp, but to Diluc, it carried a distinct kind of masculine romance.

True, the weapon’s firepower was limited to someone like him—he could even block the bullets with his sword.

But imagine it: thousands of Knights of Favonius members, each wielding an MP5?

The real strength of firearms didn’t lie in individual damage.

It lay in mass deployment—the unstoppable tide of steel.

In other words, this weapon was designed to be deployed to lower-tier combatants.

Individually, it couldn’t shift the battlefield of the strong—but it could shift the tide of low-level conflicts.

Sure, those blessed by the gods could withstand bullets—but could ordinary soldiers?

To beings without supernatural power, this was divine retribution from the heavens.

”Ryen, is this weapon intended to equip regular soldiers?”

Keqing suddenly asked softly.

Ryen nodded.

”Exactly. The firearms in the module aren’t hard to use and can be mass-produced. So, yes, they’re meant for regular troops.”

”That’s what firearms were originally designed for—to empower the common soldier.”

He added quietly, then continued:

”However, forging this gun required a fair number of iron ingots. It’s quite heavy. To use it effectively, you’ll need to drink alchemy potions or use beacon support.”

”But since it uses more material, that also means its power in Teyvat will rise by a level.”

Upon hearing that, Ningguang and the others nodded slightly.

Weight wasn’t an issue.

The fully-upgraded beacons on the Jade Chamber could be activated at any time, and alchemy potions could be supplied in bulk.

”Of course, at this stage, these firearms are hard to mass-produce. The crafting process is still too tedious.”

Recalling the ”nested doll” journey of last night, Ryen rubbed his forehead with some frustration and said softly:

”I only made these for now to let you all see them—and also to give us a layer of assurance for our upcoming journey.”

”After all, with the new module activated, many powerful enemies are appearing along the way—and most of your powers are still suppressed.”

”Next, we’ll still focus primarily on the Dragon Knight mod.”

After speaking, Ryen waved his hand, signaling everyone to come forward one by one and collect a set of bullets and an MP5.

Even Ganyu got a set that Ryen had specially prepared for her.

The Barrett sniper rifle was still for long-range attacks.

But with an extra MP5, close-range combat would be much more complete.

As for the ammunition...

They would definitely encounter new mobs from the mod along the way—like bandits.

At that time, replenishing bullets would be easy.

Everyone was quite interested in these firearms.

Until now, only Ryen and Ganyu had been seen using them—standing steadily in place, aiming at enemies and unleashing a barrage of bullets—cool and commanding.

Now, they could finally use them too.

Ryen went over to each person to teach them how to use the guns.

For example, how to reload, how to chamber a round.

In the game, you could just press a button and start firing.

But in the real world, that was completely unrealistic.

Reloading would still generate a fresh magazine, which helped solve the chambering issue.

However, the reloading steps and firing process couldn’t be skipped.

While teaching Hu Tao how to use the gun, Ryen reminded everyone:

”One more thing I need to stress—no matter what world you’re in, even in Teyvat, where you might be strong enough to ignore bullets…”

”You must never point the muzzle at your allies. Understand?”

Everyone, especially Ningguang and the others, remembered this very clearly.

After all, the time Ganyu had accidentally aimed her Barrett at Xiao and nearly gave him a heart attack was still fresh in their minds.

Jean and the others nodded decisively.

”I understand. Never point your weapon at an ally—this is a fundamental rule in the Knights of Favonius.”

As she finished, everyone turned to look at Venti.

Caught fiddling with a submachine gun, Venti froze, then placed his hands on his hips in annoyance.

”Why are you all looking at me? Am I really that untrustworthy?”

”From a general statistical standpoint… yes,” Zhongli replied calmly.

Venti belonged to the chaotic, troublemaker type. If you didn’t warn him ahead of time, who knew what kind of mischief he’d get into?

”Ehe~!”

Venti wasn’t actually angry. He smiled and shrugged.

”Relax! You can trust me with this kind of thing!”

Seeing his ”sincere” expression, everyone simply shook their heads and said no more.

The group also experimented with the weapons on a suit of iron armor.

Even though they had seen Ryen demonstrate it earlier, trying it themselves was a whole new experience.

Despite being mentally prepared, they were still shocked.

Especially when everyone started firing at once—it was like a mini metal storm.

Though the walls remained untouched, the armor had been shredded with holes.

At that moment, Xiao suddenly felt his trident wasn’t quite so impressive anymore.

”I feel like if we prepare one of these for Barbara, it could really help her defend herself better.”

Jean was still concerned about her sister and now brought up arming Barbara.

”Indeed,” Lisa nodded gently.

”Barbara isn’t strong in combat, and she often goes off to remote areas to gather herbs.”

”Having a firearm like this would be quite helpful.”

”And perhaps, while you’re at it, you can repair your relationship with her too?”

Lisa teased Jean with a soft smile.

No one knew better than Lisa about the cracks in Barbara and Jean’s relationship.

The problem was, the two sisters had completely different thoughts.

Jean believed she had neglected Barbara and that Barbara was mad at her.

But in truth, Barbara felt she was too weak to help her hardworking sister, the acting Grand Master.

Each misunderstood the other—and neither opened up to talk about it honestly.

That was the main reason for their growing distance.

Giving Barbara a weapon might boost her confidence, and maybe... she’d finally have a heart-to-heart with Jean.

Ryen chuckled and said:

”In my hometown, there’s a saying: ’Beyond seven steps, the gun wins.’”

Hearing that, Lumine curiously leaned in.

”What about within seven steps?”

Ryen grinned and patted her head.

”Within seven steps, the gun is fast and accurate!”

”…”

Everyone wanted to roast him for that line, but seeing the sorry state of the iron armor, they had to admit—it was true.

”For any being without powerful supernatural protection, all life is equal before firearms.”

”And among firearms, the ’peacekeeper’ bullet shows no favor to anyone.”

Ryen gave Lumine’s shoulder a friendly pat and turned to walk out.

”Alright, enough for now. We’ll worry about this stuff later. It’s time to move out.”

Everyone perked up.

Suddenly, Venti noticed Ryen hadn’t taken an MP5 himself and asked curiously:

”Ryen, aren’t you bringing one? What will you use?”

Ryen straightened up, turned with a smile, and replied:

”No need to worry about me.”

Then, he quickly pulled out his own gear from his backpack.

Right hand: Super Benelli M4 shotgun.

Left hand: M249 light machine gun.

Strapped to his leg: Desert Eagle.

Around his waist: a belt full of fragmentation grenades.

With a calm expression, Ryen said:

”These should be enough for me.”

”…”
