Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue

”This bow of mine is enchanted with five primary attributes.”

”Power—enhancing the damage of arrows. Punch—knocking back enemies upon impact.”

”Unbreaking—extending the lifespan of the bow.”

”And finally, the two most crucial enchantments.”

Ryen paused slightly, his tone carrying a weight of importance as he continued:

”Flame—every arrow shot from this bow is a fire arrow.”

”Infinity—as long as I have a single arrow in my inventory, I can fire an endless supply of them out of thin air.”

”With Flame and Infinity combined, this bow can continuously unleash flaming arrows with no limit.”

After speaking, Ryen took a brief pause, glancing at the Vision attached to Ganyu’s waist. He sighed with a hint of regret.

”It seems a bit redundant for you all… After all, Ganyu can already condense her own arrows using elemental energy.”

”But for me, it’s a big deal—since I don’t have a Vision.”

Saying this, Ryen cast a sidelong glance at Zhongli.

The latter smiled wryly in his heart. He understood what Ryen was hinting at—he was urging him to find a way to get him a Vision.

But…

It wasn’t that Zhongli was unwilling. He simply lacked the authority to grant one.

At most, he could help Ryen find an unawakened Vision, but whether it could be activated depended entirely on Celestia’s will.

”Ryen, don’t belittle yourself!”

Ganyu chuckled softly, shaking her head, her gaze filled with admiration as she looked at the bow in Ryen’s hands.

”My Frostflake Arrows are indeed strong, but they require elemental energy to form.”

”Your bow, on the other hand, grants you unlimited arrows purely through enchantments, even giving you elemental power.”

”This is something unheard of in all of Teyvat. And I believe, one day, you will have a Vision of your own.”

”When that time comes, you’ll be able to wield two elements simultaneously.”

”You might even trigger elemental reactions on your own...”

Ganyu’s words were not meant to be mere comfort. She truly believed them.

She genuinely thought this bow was incredibly powerful.

Not to mention, if she herself wielded it back in Teyvat—

A Frostflake Arrow to start, followed by an enchanted fire arrow—

Her combat power would instantly double.

And that wasn’t even considering that this bow did more than just fire arrows with flame enchantments.

”And then there’s this diamond sword…”

Keqing gazed at the sword resting beside Ryen, her voice tinged with envy.

Standing this close, she could feel the searing heat radiating from the blade.

”Ryen, you were already physically strong before this. And now, with a diamond sword—one of the hardest materials—enhanced by enchantments…”

Keqing shook her head, half-joking, half-serious as she warned:

”When we return to Teyvat, you’d better not swing that thing carelessly. I’d hate to see you accidentally slice through Mt. Tianheng.”

Ryen chuckled. No matter what, he was quite pleased with the results of today’s enchantments.

”In Teyvat, enchantments may not provide much of a combat boost, but… the true value of enchantments was never about giving the extraordinary even more power.”

”It’s about allowing ordinary people to wield extraordinary strength—like my Flame enchantment on the bow, or the Fire Aspect on my sword.”

Ryen handed the bow to Ganyu. The latter, without channeling any elemental energy, simply pulled the bowstring back—

Yet just like before, an arrow ignited in flames upon release.

Ganyu let out a small gasp of surprise.

”It requires almost no effort...”

Ryen nodded with a smile.

”Bows are the most unique long-range weapon. Later on, they may not even need enchantments like Flame.”

”This world has countless special arrows—ones that can heal, ones that enhance strength, ones that grant higher jumps…”

”There are even arrows that inflict various debuffs on enemies.”

”When the time comes, I’ll let you all see for yourselves.”

Hearing this, everyone nodded in anticipation, especially Ganyu.

As someone highly proficient with bows, she was particularly eager to see what kinds of unique arrows Ryen would introduce next.

Meanwhile, Ningguang had been deep in thought ever since the discussion began.

Now that the topic of enchantments was momentarily set aside, she seized the opportunity and spoke in a measured, serious tone:

”Ryen, I have a few questions…”

Seeing Ryen turn to her with a slight smile, Ningguang took a deep breath and continued, her voice calm yet resolute:

”How do we enchant items? Can it be done in bulk? And most importantly—can Teyvat’s weapons and armor be enchanted?”

A flash of excitement flickered in her golden eyes as she turned to the others.

”Ryen has mentioned before that while we can advocate for peace and diplomacy, we must always ensure we have the strength to make others listen.”

”Liyue has never lacked powerful warriors. The Lord of Geo and the Adepti will always be Liyue’s greatest pillars of strength.”

”But Liyue is also our home, and it is our duty to protect it.”

”This whole situation with the Fatui—everyone here knows the implications.”

”We’ve seen firsthand what their forces are capable of. Even a single Fatui Skirmisher unit is enough to threaten an elemental wielder, let alone the average person.”

”Besides them, there are also the Debt Collectors, Electro Cicin Mages, and Mirror Maidens.”

”Even if we set the Fatui aside, the Millelith still have to contend with monsters—Hilichurls, Hatchling Geovishaps, and Ruin Guards…”

”Teyvat is an unforgiving world for ordinary people. And yet, the daily security of Liyue Harbor rests entirely on the shoulders of the Millelith, who are just that—ordinary people.”

”They need strength. Liyue needs strength.”

Ningguang’s words were firm and sincere, revealing the harsh reality that the Millelith faced.

In the game, everything seemed peaceful on the surface.

But in reality, even a simple mission to clear out a Hilichurl camp carried the risk of casualties.

This world, with all its mystical wonders, was far from kind to those without power.

Especially the Millelith, who constantly fought on the front lines.

But now, Ryen had discovered a way to enhance equipment through enchantments.

Even if it couldn’t grant the Millelith supernatural abilities, strengthening their gear would be more than enough.

If the Millelith’s combat abilities could be elevated, Liyue would gain far greater control over the Fatui’s actions—

Not because the Fatui feared Morax and the Adepti, but because they feared Liyue’s own strength.

After finishing her speech, Ningguang fell silent, fixing her gaze on Ryen.

The others followed suit, their eyes locked onto him with anticipation—

Especially Keqing, whose expression carried a mix of excitement and nervousness.

Ryen furrowed his brows slightly, thinking for a moment before replying:

”Enchantments are a unique feature of this world. Naturally, you all should be able to use them as well.”

”As for enchanting Teyvat’s weapons and armor… I can’t say for sure. But considering that the Wind Glider was able to partially integrate with this world’s mechanics, it’s worth trying.”

”And finally… large-scale enchantments…”

A spark of realization flashed through Ryen’s eyes as he looked at Ningguang, impressed.

To be honest, he hadn’t yet figured out how the people of Liyue could go about enchanting their equipment.

After all, their combat skills were deeply tied to their Visions.

But Ningguang’s mention of large-scale enchantments—

That gave him an idea.

A special method.

The Villager Trading System.

A lectern, villagers, librarians, and emeralds—enchanting books en masse!

Wasn’t this the perfect way for them to obtain enchantments?

If they had enough emeralds, they could forge an entire army of enchanted warriors in no time.

With that thought, Ryen lifted his gaze to Ningguang, who was watching him anxiously.

Under the weight of her hopeful stare, he slowly nodded.

”It’s possible! But… it will take time. And a lot—really, a lot—of resources.”

Ningguang exhaled deeply, relief washing over her features.

The others let out similar sighs, as if they had been holding their breath.

”As long as it can be done, nothing else matters,” Ningguang said firmly.

Keqing, on the other hand, took a deep breath, her eyes filled with anticipation.

”The Millelith of Liyue… might finally have the chance to wield extraordinary power. Unlike the Fatui soldiers, who have to endure brutal conditioning to gain strength.”

Ryen chuckled, saying nothing more.

To be honest, he thought that instead of fixating on enchanting an army, they should just wait until mods were enabled—

If, for instance, a modern weapons mod got unlocked…

Imagine the Millelith armed with Gatling guns.

Even a Fatui Harbinger would be forced to reconsider their life choices.

But for now, since there was no guarantee, there was no need to tease them with such ideas.

”Ryen, can we enchant something right now?”

Keqing’s expectant voice broke the silence. Without hesitation, she pulled out her sword—The Lion’s Roar.

A refined longsword that, for a long time, had been one of her treasured weapons.

But in this world…

Even an iron sword had outperformed it.

The Lion’s Roar’s elemental-enhancing properties had been severely suppressed in the Minecraft realm.

Still, this was a sword she had wielded for a long time, a weapon that had accompanied her through countless battles.

If there was even the slightest chance—

She looked down at the handle, where faint marks of wear could be seen.

At the very least, she wanted the Lion’s Roar to be usable in this world.

Ryen examined the sword carefully.

He wasn’t entirely sure whether Teyvat’s weapons could be enchanted.

Previously, he would have outright said no.

But after seeing how the Wind Glider functioned in this world, he was no longer certain.

Some Minecraft mods allowed weapons from other worlds to benefit from enchantments.

And…

If the Wind Glider could work just fine in this realm, then why shouldn’t the Lion’s Roar be classified as an equivalent to a modded weapon?

Perhaps the very presence of Teyvat’s people in this world was already acting like a ”mod” in itself.

After a moment of contemplation, Ryen waved his hand.

”I can’t say for sure. But there’s only one way to find out—let’s try it.”

With that, he turned and led the group toward the grand estate.

They ascended to the third floor.

It was only then that everyone noticed something new—

A strange contraption had appeared in the previously ordinary study lined with bookshelves.

Mysterious symbols floated around it, slowly sinking into its surface like droplets merging with a calm lake.

”This is… the enchantment table?”

Ningguang eyed it curiously but hesitated to step forward.

The floating runes gave off an eerie aura, and she wasn’t sure if they would affect her.

More importantly, she didn’t want to accidentally disrupt whatever delicate balance Ryen had created here.

”That’s right,” Ryen nodded with a smile. ”This is a must-have in every proper home. The placement of the bookshelves around it is important, too—I’ll teach you all the details later.”

But he made no move to lead them inside.

This puzzled Ganyu.

”Ryen, aren’t we going to use the enchantment table?” she asked.

”Not this time,” Ryen shook his head, his voice calm.

”I left an enchantment book here earlier today, and it just so happens to be perfect for a longsword. So instead of using the enchantment table directly, we can combine the book with the sword using the anvil.”

”If this works, Keqing’s combat power might improve dramatically.”

Hearing this, Keqing’s eyes lit up, her posture straightening as she focused intently on Ryen.

Without any further delay, Ryen flipped his hand over—

And produced a book radiating a faint, mystical purple glow.

The same enchantment glow that shimmered across his own gear.

”Enchantment: Fire Aspect II.”
