Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System

?Elsewhere, a female demihuman with a sad expression was sitting alone on a rock at the edge of the ocean, with a brown turtle shell on her back. Her gaze was filled with longing, but she continued to let out disappointed sighs. “Mother, I’m tired of that idiot, and I’m thinking about leaving this realm. However, I also find it hard to do so, especially since this ocean is your final resting place, so I won’t be able to talk to you like this if I leave. Moreover, I only know about your birth realm, but it’s too far away, so I’m not confident enough to reach that place with my current cultivation.”

*Tap… Tap…*

She suddenly heard footsteps walking towards her, so she immediately turned to the person approaching her. However, her expression changed to surprise when she saw a young man carrying a huge turtle shell on his back. His appearance was completely different from hers, and he looked more like a human. With narrowed eyes, she observed him, and she felt certain she had never seen him before, so she was certain that he was an intruder.

She then pulled out her weapon, a long stick, and pointed to the young man, releasing her cultivation at the Lower Venerable God Realm while coldly asking him. “Who are you? How could an intruder like you enter our realm without alerting Huang Yin and the others? Why are you bothering me?”

“Hey, now, you don’t need to be this cold, okay? I came here because I felt something unusual from this ocean, but I didn’t expect to meet you here, so I’m sorry if I disturbed you.” The young man said this with a relaxed smile as he approached her. “I am indeed a newcomer to this realm, and I came with many other people. However, we have no intention of doing anything bad here, and we just want to practice before we go to the mysterious tower.”

“That mysterious tower?” She was surprised to hear that, especially since she had heard about the tower herself and harbored hopes of going there, but she was unsure of the route to get there.

“Yes.” The young man nodded to her. “We have too many enemies who are much stronger than us, so we want to go there to improve our abilities, especially since there are so many powerful and unique beasts there.”

Sensing no malicious intent from him, she lowered her guard slightly, but she did not retract her cultivation or put away her weapon. “Who are you? Where do you guys come from?”

“Hehe.” The young man chuckled before answering his questions one by one. “My name is Wu Gui, and I am not a turtle like you, but I am a tortoise. Aside from that, I am not a demihuman; I am a pure beast. As for my realm, I come from a hidden realm in the corner of this universe, and I was tasked by my race to find someone who could help us face our enemies.”

After hearing that, she examined Wu Gui up and down, and his aura made her realize that he was truly a pure beast. Furthermore, she sensed that his bloodline was significantly stronger than hers, and if he didn’t control it, it would greatly suppress her.

“So what’s your name, miss?” Wu Gui asked with a broad smile, and he seemed interested in her.

“My name is Ya Xixian, and I come from the brown-turtle race.”

“Nice to meet you, Miss Xixian.” Wu Gui then looked towards the ocean. “Does your mother rest in this ocean?

“Yes.” Ya Xixian answered with a sad expression, as she also looked back at the ocean. “When she was still alive, my mother liked this ocean so much that she always brought me here to enjoy the scenery, so my father and I decided to scatter her ashes here after her death. Since then, I’ve almost always spent my time here to accompany her spirit, and I sometimes feel that her spirit is talking back to me.”

Wu Gui released a heavy sigh after hearing that, but he had no words to comfort her. “In fact, you don’t need to keep coming here to accompany her, Miss Xixian. Reincarnation is a real deal, and I’m sure that your mother would have been reincarnated by now, especially if she was such a good woman.”

“My mother was a good and kind-hearted woman, and she was always warm towards everyone, so people in my race liked her very much.” Wu Gui just nodded upon hearing that, and Ya Xixian spoke again. “Unfortunately, her life was too short, and he had to die due to exposure to a mysterious disease. Even though my father and our leaders tried hard to save her, she still died from the disease in the end.”

“I see.” Wu Gui nodded in understanding. “Even though we are all cultivators and can recover from various injuries that befell us, we are still susceptible to various types of illnesses, many of which are incurable. Furthermore, you demihumans from this realm almost never leave it, so you definitely don’t have relationships with people from other realms. In fact, there are so many skilled physicians spread across various realms, and your mother might be able to be cured if you all don’t close yourselves off from the outside world.”

After hearing that, Ya Xixian’s expression turned disappointed and sad, especially since she had heard about those physicians. Regrettably, they were unable to defy the rules set by their two ancestors, resulting in not only their mother’s death from this mysterious disease but also the similar fate of numerous individuals from other demihuman races. That’s why she hates staying in her realm, and she wants to go to other realms to learn many things so she can help other people not suffer the same fate as her mother. “Unfortunately, it’s too late now, and my mother died decades ago.”

“Honestly, I can understand your feelings, especially since I was once in your position. However, my parents did not die of disease, but they were killed by our enemies.” Ya Xiaian turned to him with a look of sympathy, but Wu Gui raised both fists toward the sky and spoke with determination. “That’s why I want to go to that tower and train to become truly strong, or else I’ll never be able to take revenge against their killers.”

“Did the humans kill them?”

“No.” Wu Gui answered by shaking his head. “Human cultivators are indeed strong, but our beast race is much stronger, especially since we are not ordinary beasts. Actually, their killers are beasts at our level, and they are too powerful for the current me. I encountered one of them a few days ago, and if those humans hadn’t intervened, I would have perished from his absorption.”

“Hmm?” Ya Xixian raised her eyebrows. “Did those humans really save me? According to my race’s history, they are the most evil living creatures, and they enslaved us for so long, so I find it hard to believe that they would be willing to save you.”

“Ha ha ha.” Wu Gui laughed loudly before turning to her. “That is one of the weaknesses of you demihumans, especially since you continue to live by thinking about past history. Aren’t there many evil demihumans among you guys?”

Ya Xixian acknowledged this with a nod. “Many of us are evil, and they always try to destroy the peace between us. However, our leader punishes and kills them, but people like them keep appearing.”

“That’s right.” Wu Gui nodded to her. “Like us demihumans and beasts, there are many good humans out there, but there are also many of them who are extremely cruel, like the people who colonized your race in the past. That’s why we must continue to be vigilant towards everyone, including our own race, and we must also continue to strive hard to protect ourselves. After all, our lives are our own responsibility, so we cannot put our lives in other people’s hands.”

Ya Xixian nodded in understanding and fell into thinking for a long time, especially since she had just met Wu Gui, and she didn’t know anything about him yet, so she felt hesitant to ask what was on her mind.

“Do you want to join me?” Wu Gui inquired as he walked towards the water, confusing Ya Xixian. “There is something at the bottom of this ocean, so I want to go there to check it out. Unlike you, I can dive very deep to the seabed, and I can take you with me if you want to see the beauty of the deep sea.”

Hearing that, Ya Xixian immediately stored her weapon and jumped off the rock before following Wu Gui, but her jaw immediately dropped when he returned to his original form. “So huge! Moreover, I recognize your turtle head and snake tail, and you are the black tortoise mythical beast!”

“Ha ha ha!” Wu Gui burst out laughing after hearing that. “You’re right, I’m the black tortoise, so you can hop into my shell now, and I’ll take you for a ride on the seabed.”

After she jumped onto the shell, Wu Gui covered them with his water element, and he immediately took Ya Xixian to dive to the bottom of the ocean at full speed.
