HP: I AM SHERLOCK HOLMES

”Hello everyone, nice to meet you all!”

When the three Weasley brothers approached, Bill and Charlie began greeting those they were meeting for the first time, like Sherlock and the others.

”Sherlock, I’m Bill,” Bill grasped Sherlock’s hand and said briskly, ”I’ve heard about you from Ron.”

”I imagine he told you that I only need to look at you once to know what you’ve done all day.”

”Seems he wasn’t wrong.” Bill couldn’t help but laugh upon hearing this.

”Hello, Sherlock, I’m Charlie,” Charlie’s grip was firmer than Bill’s. ”So why don’t you tell us what we did today?”

”Obviously, after you got up, you just Apparated here and haven’t even eaten yet.”

”Ha!”

Bill and Charlie couldn’t help but exchange glances and smile.

Then the two also greeted Harry, Hermione, and Sirius respectively.

As soon as the three brothers sat down, they heard Percy say loudly: ”Dad, we just Apparated over—ah, wonderful, there’s food!”

Bill and Charlie exchanged smiles again and nodded toward Sherlock.

This level of deduction was nothing even close to a warm-up for Sherlock—it could only be called routine operation.

Without having eaten, saying that boiled eggs and sausages were delicious didn’t seem problematic at all.

However, they had only eaten half their fill when Mr. Weasley suddenly jumped up.

Everyone couldn’t help but be startled.

Just as the Weasley sons thought their father was about to cause trouble again, Mr. Weasley was already smiling and waving at a man striding over.

”Hahaha!”

He turned to everyone and said, ”This is currently the most important person—Ludo!”

Clearly, the newcomer was Ludo Bagman, Director of the Department of Magical Games and Sports at the Ministry of Magic.

Also, the person Mr. Weasley had mentioned not long ago as being most suited for this job.

Sherlock looked up and down at this former star Quidditch player and current Director of the Department of Magical Games and Sports, just as he had observed Bill and Charlie.

He wore long Quidditch robes with wide yellow and black horizontal stripes, with a huge wasp splashed across his chest like ink.

However, the robes looked very ill-fitting, stretched tightly over his large belly.

His nose was flat, and combined with his status as a former Quidditch player, it was hard not to wonder if it had been flattened by a Bludger.

Besides this, he had bright blue eyes and short golden hair.

”Ah!”

Bagman was clearly also very happy to see Mr. Weasley.

His face was flushed, and he even bounced when he walked, as if there were springs under his feet.

”Arthur, my dear old chap, you’re here so early!”

He approached, looked at the tent, then at the bonfire, and couldn’t help but say in surprise: ”Not bad, you’ve got everything organized here. I see some wizards can’t handle these things at all.”

As if to verify his statement, a group of haggard-looking Ministry officials hurried past.

In the distance there were signs that someone was playing with magical fire—purple flames rising more than twenty feet high.

At this moment, Percy hurriedly stepped forward and extended his hand to Bagman, obviously wanting to make a good impression.

Although he had only recently joined the Ministry, Percy already had a deep understanding of this organization.

The Ministry of Magic was a form of organization formed among wizards for magical society’s self-management.

Not only Britain, but many other countries had such organizations, such as Norway, Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, etc.

However, there were exceptions. Argentina didn’t have a Ministry of Magic, only a Magical Council.

The United States also didn’t have a Ministry of Magic, but rather the Magical Congress.

Although their operational methods weren’t the same, their functions were actually similar to the Ministry of Magic.

The establishment of the British Ministry of Magic could even be traced back to the 16th century, making it one of the earlier developments among countries worldwide.

It was the main governing body of British magical society, responsible for making laws and managing the British wizarding world.

The Ministry of Magic maintained connections with the Muggle government.

Whenever a Prime Minister took office, the Minister of Magic would visit.

Similarly, whenever the Ministry of Magic changed its highest official, the new Minister would also meet with the Muggle Prime Minister.

Additionally, when major events occurred in the magical world that might affect the Muggle world, the Minister of Magic would hold emergency meetings with the Muggle Prime Minister.

And vice versa.

As the highest-ranking person in the Ministry of Magic, the Minister of Magic was also the supreme leader of the country’s magical world, responsible for full authority over all affairs in the national magical society.

The Minister of Magic would stay informed about matters in the magical world by listening to reports from Ministry management personnel and heads of other departments.

Besides the Minister of Magic as the highest official, the Ministry of Magic had seven departments, each managing one aspect of the magical world.

Among them, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement was the largest of all departments and the Ministry’s core functional department. Other departments besides the Department of Mysteries were more or less related to it.

Each department was divided into many smaller sections and offices under the Ministry.

In this way, the membership structure of the Ministry of Magic became very clear.

The heads of the seven departments all belonged to the Ministry’s senior officials.

Ludo Bagman was the Director of the Department of Magical Games and Sports.

Percy’s father, Arthur Weasley, was the Director of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office, which belonged to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

In other words, Arthur’s direct supervisor, the Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, was at the same level as Ludo Bagman, Director of the Department of Magical Games and Sports.

So, Arthur Weasley’s rank was two levels lower than Ludo Bagman’s.

In Percy’s view, this was a very important matter.

However, neither Arthur Weasley nor Ludo Bagman seemed to care much about this.

It wasn’t until he saw Percy actively stepping forward to shake hands with Bagman that Mr. Weasley introduced him as if remembering something: ”This is my son Percy. He graduated this year and just started working at the Ministry.”

”Hello, Mr. Bagman, pleased to meet you.”

”Hello there, young Weasley. I heard Barty mention you.”

”You mean Mr. Crouch!”

Percy suddenly became excited upon hearing this name. ”It’s hard to believe he actually mentioned me to you.”

”Yes, though he seems to have gotten your name wrong—”

Bagman shrugged, as if not particularly interested in this topic. As he spoke, he shifted his gaze to the others behind him, as if searching for something.

Without doubt, he immediately noticed the tall, handsome man.

He suddenly said with a surprised look: ”This, isn’t this Black?”

”That’s right, Sirius Black, a warrior who dared to oppose You-Know-Who, a true hero of the magical world!”

Mr. Weasley said with a smile: ”Forgot to tell you, Arnold just brought them here!”

Although Sirius had strong opinions about the Ministry itself, he wouldn’t deliberately release hostility toward some of its members. So, when Mr. Weasley introduced him, he also actively extended his hand to shake with Mr. Bagman.

Mr. Weasley then continued introducing others: ”This is Fred—no, George, sorry—that’s Fred.”

”See, Sherlock, even Dad always gets us mixed up.”

Fred shrugged when he heard Mr. Weasley pointing at George and telling Bagman that was him: ”So I really don’t understand why you can always recognize us accurately every time.”

”Through observation, of course.”

”Is observation really that useful?”

At this point, Bill and Charlie also curiously came over.

Bill couldn’t help but say: ”Actually, Ron told me that you can not only tell what someone did all day just by looking at them once, but even their occupation, personality, and so on.”

”That’s right. For example, I know you work as a Curse-Breaker for Gringotts in Egypt, you’re mature and steady with outstanding work abilities. Your personality is tolerant and you have your own opinions, plus you have your own unique aesthetic views.

As for Charlie, he studies dragons in Romania and possesses extremely high Quidditch talent, almost comparable to Harry’s. He loves freedom, is focused and persistent, low-key and reliable with great empathy.”

”Aha!”

”Exactly right!”

Both Bill and Charlie laughed: ”But just this alone doesn’t prove anything. Even if you hadn’t seen us, our parents, brothers, and sister could have told you these things, couldn’t they?”

”You’re right, Ron did mention some topics about you, but I deduced more details from my observations of you just now.”

Ron also protested at this point: ”Hey, I didn’t tell Sherlock about you in such detail!”

”No matter.”

Sherlock said calmly, his gaze turning to Ludo Bagman who was conversing with Mr. Weasley: ”For example, through observation, I can tell right now that your father’s friend will soon propose making a bet.”

”Huh?”

”What?”

This time, everyone was quite surprised to hear Sherlock say this.

While they were conversing, Mr. Weasley’s introductions hadn’t stopped: ”These are my sons, Bill, Charlie, Ron. This is Ginny, my youngest child and only daughter. These are Ron’s friends, Sherlock Holmes, Hermione Granger, and of course, Harry Potter.”

When Mr. Weasley introduced his children, Bagman’s face still carried a smile, and he even praised Ginny’s beauty.

When introduced to Ron’s three friends, he showed no particular reaction to the names Sherlock and Hermione.

But when he heard the name Harry Potter, he immediately looked shocked.

The next moment, his eyes immediately swept toward the scar on Harry’s forehead.
