HP: I AM SHERLOCK HOLMES

”It’s obvious that pureblood families are all related to each other.

Because if you only want your children to marry other purebloods, your options become extremely limited.

After all... there are so few of us left.”

Sirius glanced at Ron, who was eating heartily beside Mrs. Holmes, then withdrew his gaze and said to a shocked Harry.

”In fact, your good friend Ron’s mother, Molly Weasley, was Molly Prewett before marriage.

Her father’s brother was Ignatius Prewett, who married my father’s sister Lucretia, so she’s technically my cousin by marriage.

As for Ron’s father, Arthur Weasley is probably the grandson of my great-great-uncle or something like that.”

Before he knew it, Harry’s eyes had widened. ”So that means Ron is actually your...”

”Both nephew and cousin.”

Harry: ’(°ー°
)

”Don’t look so surprised. In fact, my mother was also my father’s cousin.”

Sirius said straightforwardly, ”If we trace it from the Black family line, when Molly married Arthur, she was actually marrying her distant aunt’s son, essentially her distant uncle.”

Harry: (ー`ー)

”But don’t bother looking for their names on this tapestry, if any family is full of blood traitors, it’s definitely the Weasleys.

Cedrella was disowned from the family for marrying Septimus Weasley, that’s Ron’s grandfather, just like all the others.”

”That means both Harry and Ron are related to Malfoy.”

Sherlock said thoughtfully.

”Huh?”

Harry looked at his good friend in surprise and asked in confusion.

”I can understand Ron being related to Malfoy, but why am I...”

”Don’t forget, you’re Sirius’s godson.”

Sherlock smiled and said, ”From that perspective, you and Malfoy really are cousins.

As for Ron... he’s Malfoy’s uncle... so that also makes you Ron’s nephew.”

Harry: (ーー゛)

”Don’t worry, you don’t need to dwell on these things.”

Sirius patted Harry’s shoulder and laughed, ”I haven’t even told you that the Black family also had someone marry into the Potter family.

So even if I weren’t your godfather, you and Malfoy would still be related.

If we really trace it back, you and I are also cousins.”

Harry: (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ

At this moment, poor Harry’s brain had turned to mush.

This was too confusing; there was no way to make sense of it.

Just then, Sirius turned away from the tapestry, hands in his pockets.

This gesture might seem pretentious on someone else, but on him it just looked handsome and dashing.

”Honestly, I really didn’t want to come back here.”

He said as he walked toward the living room, ”I never thought I’d return.”

After hearing Sirius’s words, Harry temporarily set aside the tangled web of his relationship with Sirius.

He could completely understand Sirius.

If he hadn’t improved his relationship with the Dursleys, and as an adult thought he’d escaped Number 4 Privet Drive forever only to end up living there again, he’d probably feel exactly like Sirius did now.

”I’m sorry,” Harry quickly said, thinking of this. ”I didn’t know it would be like this.”

”What are you talking about, you silly boy!”

Sirius stopped and tapped Harry lightly on the forehead.

”I meant that if it were just me alone, I definitely wouldn’t come back but now it’s different.”

He looked at Harry tenderly and said softly, ”From now on, I’m not alone anymore.”

Hearing Sirius’s heartfelt words, Harry couldn’t help but give his godfather a hug.

”You’re right, from now on you’re not alone anymore.”

Harry’s gesture took Sirius somewhat by surprise.

He patted Harry’s back a bit awkwardly twice before letting out a short, harsh laugh.

”This is quite good now. You have a group of friends who care about you, and their parents happen to be my old friends who can even help us fix up this house.

The only ones who wouldn’t be happy are probably my parents, if they knew the house ultimately ended up being inherited by me, this disappointment of a son...”

”And your little cub.”

Harry added with a straight face.

Sirius immediately brightened up, and he was about to say something when Mrs. Holmes called out.

”Hurry up, you lot, or there won’t be any food left.”

Despite having eaten plenty at lunch, Ron maintained remarkable combat effectiveness when it came to dessert.

When Sherlock, Harry, and Hermione obediently walked over, Mrs. Holmes’s smile became even more kindly.

The guests’ original plan was to leave in the afternoon. But Number 12 Grimmauld Place turned out to be more interesting than expected, so after discussion, everyone decided to stay for dinner before leaving.

Fortunately, both the Holmes and Granger families lived in Greater London, not far from Grimmauld Place.

The Holmes family had walked when they came and planned to walk back.

The Grangers lived a bit farther away, but they had driven over, so it wasn’t a problem.

As for the Weasleys, they continued to stay.

The enthusiastic Mrs. Weasley volunteered to help Harry and Sirius thoroughly clean the old house.

After all, both this place and the Burrow were connected to the Floo Network, so getting home was just a matter of minutes.

This decision made Harry, Sirius, and the entire Weasley family even happier.

”Sherlock, Hermione, come play here again when you have time!”

Harry, Ron, and Ginny went out together to see off the Holmes and Granger families before reluctantly returning.

”Harry’s godfather is a good man.”

Mr. Holmes said with some emotion.

Mrs. Holmes nodded, ”Yes, he truly cares about Harry, though his mother...”

Seeing Mrs. Holmes frown, Mr. Holmes smiled.

”I just talked to him about this. He said his mother was a pure blood supremacist who didn’t like wizards from Muggle families like Sherlock and Hermione.

To be precise, the entire Black family held such attitudes. It’s just that Harry’s godfather was an anomaly, which is why he seemed so out of place in that family.”

”I see.”

Mrs. Holmes nodded, then looked at Hermione, who was talking with her son, a doting look in her eyes.

Magic really was wonderful!

When Mycroft was in school, Mrs. Holmes had worried herself sick over him.

Elementary school was fine, relationships were too early then.

But in secondary school and university, Mycroft didn’t have a girlfriend, let alone any female friends.

Watching his classmates bring girlfriends home one after another, Mrs. Holmes couldn’t sit still.

Especially now with this job, Mrs. Holmes saw even less hope for Mycroft’s marriage prospects.

Since the two brothers had a significant age gap, with Mycroft as a cautionary example, Mrs. Holmes had been observing her younger son carefully since Sherlock started primary school.

The result was that she found his attitude toward women identical to his brother’s.

One could imagine that when Sherlock entered secondary school and university, he would most likely repeat his brother’s trajectory.

This drove their mother frantic.

At this critical moment, an owl suddenly barged in, completely changing their family’s life.

Before this, Mrs. Holmes could never have imagined that young girls would establish such close, innocent childhood friendships with her son.

And not just one!

Magic really was wonderful!

This made Mrs. Holmes emit this sentiment again.

However, along with her joy came new worries.

Hermione had Hermione’s merits, and Gemma had Gemma’s merits: two excellent girls, making the choice truly difficult!

”It’s alright, they still have time.”

Mr. Holmes, seeing his wife’s thoughts, put his arm around her waist and said, ”Things are already very good as they are.”

Yes, they were already very good.

Unlike the Holmes couple, watching his daughter conversing with Sherlock, Mr. Granger had been frowning deeply the entire time.

He held back and held back, but seeing his daughter showing no signs of wanting to leave, he finally couldn’t contain himself.

”Hermione, we need to get in the car!”

”Oh dear, let them chat a bit longer!”

Mrs. Granger said somewhat disapprovingly, ”They rarely get to see each other, it’s understandable they don’t want to part!”

”They see each other every day at school!”

Mr. Granger said with a dark expression, ”It’s been almost four months now, and we’ve only seen her for a week.”

Hearing her husband put it this way, Mrs. Granger thought about it and realized he had a point, so this time she said no more.

After reluctantly saying goodbye to Sherlock, an excited Hermione returned to the car and sat in the back with Mrs. Granger.

”Dear, what were you talking about with Sherlock?”

Mrs. Granger asked curiously, ”From the moment you saw him today, you’ve been so excited, chattering away like a little bird.”

Being teased by her mother this way, Hermione’s face reddened slightly, ”I was not...”

”At least you know how to be embarrassed!”

Mr. Granger, driving without looking back, said, ”If I hadn’t called you just now, were you planning not to come home?”

”Dad, it’s not like that at all!

I was just discussing something with Sherlock, if you keep talking nonsense like this, I won’t talk to you anymore!”

Faced with his daughter’s threat, Mr. Granger kept shaking his head.

Mrs. Granger held Hermione’s hand and spoke softly with her.

Thus, ended Sherlock and his friends’ first pleasant gathering.

Everyone was happy, and they all hoped there could be more gatherings like this.

Harry, as the host, especially thought so.

After all, this house was big enough, perfect as a gathering place for his friends.

Once the house was thoroughly cleaned up, he’d throw another party and invite even more friends.

Yes, this time he’d invite Cho Chang, Sirius said he really wanted to meet her.

And Gemma and Luna, Sherlock definitely wouldn’t invite them so he’d better do it himself.

Oh, and Neville and Dean, he could invite his two roommates too.

If Cho Chang’s friends were willing, they could be invited as well.

As Harry counted on his fingers, calculating whether this old Manor could accommodate so many people, Sirius asked curiously.

”Harry, what are you doing?”

”I’m thinking about how many people could come here?”

Faced with his godfather’s question, Harry answered honestly, ”I want to invite more friends over.”

”Haha!”

Seeing Harry like this, Sirius laughed happily.

”Just invite whoever you want—even if you invite your entire year, I’ll find a way to make sure they have fun!”

Harry nodded vigorously.

This was exactly the home he’d been longing for, wasn’t it?

Seeing Harry like this, Sirius felt gratified too.

It seemed the Black family’s old house, Number 12 Grimmauld Place, still had some use after all.

Over the following period, the entire Weasley family pitched in to help Sirius and his godson clean the rooms.

They worked very hard, just disinfecting the living room took an entire day.

Next was the glass cabinet in the living room filled with all sorts of strange dark magic objects.

This was also difficult work, fully demonstrating how different cleaning a wizarding household was from a Muggle one.

In a Muggle household, you’d just take things away, but here that didn’t work.

Because many items in the cabinet were reluctant to leave their dusty shelves.

Even Sirius was badly bitten by a silver snuffbox.

Within seconds, the bitten hand developed an ugly crust, as if wearing a rough brown glove.

A pair of tweezers with many legs, catching Harry off guard, crawled up his arm like a spider.

When it tried to pierce Harry’s skin, Sirius swatted it dead with a book.

There was also a seemingly harmless music box.

When wound up to play music, everyone became drowsy.

According to the Weasley twins, this glass cabinet contained even more items than Filch had confiscated.

Of course, they sneakily pocketed quite a few when no one was looking.

”What do you want these things for?” Harry asked in surprise when he saw them even collecting the unconscious Doxy.

”We want to use Doxy venom for experiments, to develop our Skiving Snackboxes,” Fred explained to Harry in a low voice.

”You know, we’re always inventing things,” George said.

Surprisingly, they also found a First-Class Order of Merlin in a dusty box.

It had been awarded to Sirius’s grandfather for services to the Ministry.

Mr. and Mrs. Weasley both looked envious.

”Which means he gave them a load of galleons.”

Sirius said disdainfully, tossing the medal into the rubbish bag.

This made Harry understand why Sirius had been so dismissive when Fudge mentioned the Order of Merlin earlier.

Apart from these small incidents, the cleaning went quite smoothly.

However, just when everyone thought they could hold another large gathering before the holiday ended, an unexpected event disrupted their plans.
