The Villain of Ancient Greece

The next day, the bright sunlight filtered through the gaps in the vines, spilling into the bedroom.

Lorne opened his heavy eyelids, and a charming face, alternating between joy and reproach, came into close view.

Her delicate nose was slightly upturned, her long eyelashes fluttered gently, and her pointed ears perked up... All these features, blending innocence and spirit, combined to create a face so exquisite that it stirred an irresistible desire to protect and admire.

It had to be said, as the future Witch of Temptation and Corruption in Greek mythology, this demigoddess of Aeaea certainly had her charms.

But no matter how beautiful the scenery, after experiencing it a thousand times, one would inevitably grow numb to it.

In other words, he was bored.

And besides...

Lorne glanced sideways at his left ear, which was filled with a sticky sensation.

A pair of pink cherry lips were happily nibbling on it, the grinding silver teeth bringing a slight sting.

At the same time, two tender, pink arms, like lotus roots, were intertwined around his neck like snakes, almost suffocating him.

Faintly, he could even hear the crisp sound of his neck bones creaking under the pressure, as if they were about to give way.

Lorne sat up expressionlessly, pulling off the human koala that was half-hanging on him and tossing it aside.

Fortunately, the bed was spacious enough.

Having changed her position, Circe smoothly rode onto the blanket, rolling horizontally from the head of the bed to the foot, her fair skin forming a tempting highlight in the dimly lit room.

This wild witch had a habit of sleeping naked.

The unintentional display of charm made Lorne raise his eyelids slightly.

At this moment, the witch, who had reattached herself to a pillow, habitually rubbed half of her pretty face against the blanket as crystal-clear drool slipped from the corner of her mouth, and she intermittently mumbled incoherent dreams.

”Hehe, my cute little piglet, resistance is useless! Be good and let me hug and kiss you!”

Hearing that triumphant and demonic laughter, the corner of Lorne’s mouth twitched violently.

She still loved pigs so much.

He had seen cat and dog lovers before, but someone with such a unique taste for pigs was truly the first he had encountered.

However, Lorne couldn’t understand why this dignified and imposing witch had such a deep obsession with piglets.

As he complained inwardly, the corner of his eye caught a pair of soft stretched-out eagle wings under the blanket.

Instantly, a flash of insight struck him, and the question that had plagued him for so long seemed to find an answer in the hint.

—Of course, eagles like piglets.

Especially the newborn ones, plump and delicious.

(Damn), so that’s what it was!

Lorne thought of Circe’s Eagle Witch lineage and nickname, and his facial muscles twitched violently.

This woman’s love for piglets was probably a perverse hobby of a predator licking and toying with its prey under its claws.

—Similar to the wicked amusement of a cat playing with a mouse.

’Speaking of which, was that why she adopted me back then?’

’Damn, no wonder this woman used to hug, bite, and drool over me every night!’

As Lorne thought about it, his face grew darker, and the faint trace of romantic thoughts that had just emerged in his heart vanished in an instant.

Sure enough, this stupid bird had no good intentions from the beginning!

The awakened piglet grumbled in his heart while his gaze drifted downward from the youthful, charming face, passing over a certain flat surface that was half-hidden, half-visible and his heart became even harder than a stone.

Dragging his sore and aching body, which felt as if it had been crushed by a ghost all night, he made his way to the dining area, picked up his scattered clothes and used the residual warmth of the charcoal fire to confirm the time.

Lorne looked at his reflection in the mirror, now restored to human form, and couldn’t help but shake his head in self-mockery.

To think that the pig-transforming effects of Kykeon 2.0 had worn off in just one night.

Under the relentless torment of this teacher, his resistance to potions had truly grown stronger day by day.

’I really owe you one, Teacher!’

”Hehe, hehe, hehe, I understand everything now. You must still want me to kiss you, mwah, my adorable little piglet!”

From the bedroom came another round of somewhat deranged laughter as the witch, now completely devoid of dignity, continued to revel in the joy of cuddling.

”...” Lorne was speechless.

Then, he walked into the room with a face as black as the bottom of a pot, and unceremoniously pulled Circe, who was still obsessing over the blanket, out of bed.

”Get up!”

”What? It’s so early in the morning...”

Circe opened her heavy eyelids, her gaze shifting between the blanket in her arms and the little piglet that had escaped to the foot of the bed as her eyes looked at him with resentment.

That little piglet from before was so adorable.

Tiny, fragrant, and soft.

But as soon as he turned three, the little piglet entered his rebellious phase, constantly trying to escape from her arms.

By the time he was seven, he had even cleared out a room for himself and firmly insisted on living separately.

From then on, Circe had lost her favorite cuddle buddy.

Of course, Lorne did this simply to live a few more days. He was really afraid that he would be strangled to death by this careless foster mother one night.

”Let me sleep a little longer...”

Circe yawned and grumbled discontentedly, her half-closed pink eyes peeking out from under the blanket as she looked pleadingly at the little piglet by the bed.

”How about... we sleep together?”

”Dream on! It’s time to get up and come to class with me!”

”Cl-class?”

The groggy great witch, hearing the icy tone in his voice, instantly shivered as if she’d been doused in cold water. Like a student caught off guard by a teacher’s call, her face paled, and she shook her head vigorously like a rattle drum.

”No way, I’m not going to class!”

With that said, Circe, as if facing a flood or a wild beast, hugged the blanket and retreated into the corner of the bed, putting up a stubborn resistance.

”You don’t have a choice!”

Lorne responded with a cold smile, unceremoniously bundling both the blanket and Circe together and carrying them out the door.

The newly risen sun cast scattered golden rays, dividing the entire island of Aeaea along its central ridge into light and dark halves.

One side was vibrant and full of life, while the other was shrouded in darkness and silence.

Lorne, carrying the sandwich on his shoulder, stepped on the thick dead leaves, and walked through the dense forest with a flickering look on his eyes.

Aeaea was located in the Oceanus Sea, to the east, and legend had it that it wasn’t far from the entrance to the Underworld.

Lorne guessed that this was probably the reason why, he had been sent to this island after his resurrection match in the Underworld,

This location also gave Circe, as the island’s ruler, a certain divine connection to the Underworld.

She was quite familiar with ghosts and spirits, making her a unique living neighbor of the Underworld.

Of course, this might also have something to do with her faith.

Lorne looked up at the end of the stone-paved path, where an ancient temple entwined with vines stood.

This place was starkly different from the vibrant side of the island.

Dead trees, withered grass, and strange rocks created a desolate landscape, and the sky hung low and gloomy, exuding an indescribable sense of oppression and mystery.

Arriving at the entrance, he stopped for a moment, looking at the statue standing in the center of the hall.

It was a goddess with three heads, three bodies, and six arms, holding a torch, herbs, and a talisman, her gaze directed in three different directions.

Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft, was the deity Circe worshipped.

At the same time, she was also the three-phase goddess— goddess of opportunity, the goddess of magic, the queen of ghosts, and the goddess of the Underworld in Greek mythology.

She was a mysterious and unique figure.

In a way, she was now Lorne’s grand-teacher.

Lowering his gaze slightly to show a basic level of respect, Lorne then tossed Circe, still wrapped in the blanket, into the temple.

The moment she hit the ground, Circe began to squirm and fuss, hurriedly pulling on the clothes tangled in the blanket before sitting up straight, her face dark as she glared at the rebellious disciple she had raised from childhood, grinding her teeth.

”Disrespectful! This is utter disrespect!”

As she spoke, Circe, who was tidying up her clothes, couldn’t help but sneak a few glances at the statue behind her, her eyes betraying a hint of guilt.

After all, Greek gods were notoriously petty, and being naked in a temple was neither respectful nor appropriate.

There were plenty of precedents for gods holding grudges and seeking revenge over such slights.

”Teacher, I believe the goddess is magnanimous and won’t hold a small offense committed in the pursuit of knowledge against us.”

Lorne spread his hands, his expression sincere and innocent.

”I can’t help it. I just want to improve so badly.”

”...”

Circe stared at her student’s face, which was ”devoutly” addressing the statue, her teeth itching with the urge to bite him and tear off a chunk of flesh.

But in the end, under the dim gaze of the statue, the witch shrank her neck, took out a few ancient parchment spellbooks from the altar, and weakly raised her hand to invite him.

”Come in, let’s start the lesson.”

With a faint smile on his face, Lorne walked into the temple, knelt down opposite the teacher Circe, and began his daily magic studies.
