Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?

Chapter 25: Chapter 24: Han Yu Battles Asura

At this moment, the Glazed Bottle cannot come out and cause trouble. Glass, using the power of the Artifact Spirit, forcefully suppressed the bottle.

”What a mess! Aren’t you two supposed to be one? Now you each have your own ideas.”

Glass reluctantly said in a soft, childish voice, ”It’s its instinct to devour, not an idea.”

My cousin had already reopened the umbrella and called out, prompting Han Yu to quickly snap back and follow.

After passing through the Erosion Water Path and the Fire Path once again, the two returned to the tomb chamber.

This time, the scorpion tail was much smarter, smelling the scent of its natural enemy on the umbrella from afar and daring not to come close at all.

My cousin sat by the well, dismantling the Iron Bone Umbrella completely, then emptied out the remaining iron pieces from his bosom.

His hands danced nimbly as he pieced the iron pieces together. Soon, a contour appeared, and shortly after, a black short sword took shape.

Then he continued piecing them together until he hurriedly assembled two more after using up the iron pieces.

”In a moment, I can’t be distracted. I need to control the three Flying Swords to confront the old baldy head-on, so you need to be careful yourself.”

My cousin put away the Flying Swords and solemnly warned.

Han Yu also nodded seriously, and then my cousin jumped into the well first.

After walking straight down the path for a while, they returned to the dungeon location. The dungeon scene made both their faces change dramatically.

The corridor outside the cell was strewn with dry corpses, probably around thirty in total. Judging by their attire, they were monks, each still retaining the expression of fear they had in life.

Han Yu recognized the face of one Little Novice among them, his expression darkened, and he said, ”That old baldy actually killed all the monks in his own temple.”

My cousin also darkened his expression, nodding and sighing, ”He probably got caught practicing the Hungry Ghost Path on living people. If he kills the two of us now, he’ll likely flee far away.”

”You’re right!”

A sinister voice echoed in the corridor.

An old monk drifted in, slowly walking from the depths. Wasn’t this the very old baldy they were talking about!

My cousin looked at the old monk and suddenly spoke, ”I remember when the senior came to our house, you were with a Grand Monk named Xuan Yin, which should be you!”

The old baldy, no, Xuan Yin looked up at my cousin, a bit surprised, ”I didn’t expect you to be an acquaintance’s descendant.”

My cousin interrupted his words with a sneer, ”You’re not worthy of being called an acquaintance to our family. Betraying your teacher and ancestors, stealing your master’s tomb, and practicing Divine Techniques on living people.”

Xuan Yin seemed to be struck at a sore spot, his emotions suddenly flared up, and he retorted in a low voice, ”What did I do wrong? I was his only disciple. He never taught me the cultivation method of the Hungry Ghost Path. Since he wouldn’t give it to me, I took it myself.”

My cousin seemed to intentionally provoke him, mocking, ”Because he knew you had ill intentions. There’s still a copy of the Hungry Ghost Path cultivation method left to gather dust in our house. The senior asked us to find someone to pass it on to, but not to you. How angry does that make you?”

These words pierced deeply into Xuan Yin’s heart like a knife, echoing in his mind: ”He’d rather let it gather dust than give it to you,” over and over, as if possessed.

After a signal from my cousin, Han Yu understood, and the three black short swords simultaneously shot out, aiming at Xuan Yin’s head, chest, and lower part.

”What audacity!”

When Xuan Yin reacted, the short swords had already reached him. He hurriedly clasped his hands together, and a golden light emerged from his body.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

After three clashes, Xuan Yin remained unharmed, and my cousin showed a look of regret, just a little bit short.

Xuan Yin was already angered, constantly chanting Buddha’s names, the Brahma Sound lingered, and a Hungry Ghost Image appeared behind him. Skeletons howled as they crawled out of the image.

My cousin’s face changed dramatically, quickly summoning back the Flying Swords. Dozens of skeletons rushed over madly, causing a chorus of ghostly wails and a chill wind.

Han Yu, holding the Relic, waited for an opportunity to act, but the old monk gave no chance for a flaw. Facing dozens of skeletons alone, my cousin was gradually overwhelmed. In an instant, the three Flying Swords were intercepted by several skeletons, and my cousin was in imminent danger.

Watching the tide of skeletons surging like a wave, they were about to be devoured in an instant.

My cousin’s face was pale, showing despair; he had underestimated the old baldy.

As a skeleton reached out for my cousin’s chest at the very last moment, it suddenly halted.

Han Yu’s figure emerged from the skeleton’s back, and with a burst of sound, the skeleton was shattered into pieces.

After hurriedly rescuing my cousin, they were met with a wave of skeletons from behind.

”Be careful, these skeletons can attack the soul and drain blood essence.”

My cousin covered his heart, which was pounding wildly, and quickly warned.

Han Yu nodded and charged ahead, throwing punches with explosive sounds as skeleton after skeleton shattered and fragmented.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Three consecutive strikes hit Han Yu’s back. He turned sharply, seeing three skeletons wielding Bone Blades, slashing towards him.

Immediately, Han Yu grimaced from the pain, what monstrous skeletons, it hurts so much!

Such a monstrous body, able to withstand attacks from the Hungry Ghost Path.

My cousin was stunned behind him.

Han Yu naturally didn’t know all this. Angrily, he clenched his fist and first took out the three ambushers.

The skeletons seemed endless, even with bones flying all around him, the numbers never diminished.

And Han Yu, despite his grimacing pain, continued striking skeleton after skeleton.

”This won’t do, these Hungry Ghosts are manifestations of Divine Techniques, endless. We need to break the source first.” My cousin saw the key, quickly shouting.

Han Yu, wielding a skeleton leg, was sweeping around. Hearing this, he glanced toward the old monk, seeing Xuan Yin with hands clasped, continuously manifesting skeletons behind from the Hungry Ghost Image.

Determined, he threw the skeleton in his hand, knocking down the surrounding ones. With a powerful step, he shot out like a cannonball toward Xuan Yin, who, hearing the sound of wind and thunder, saw Han Yu charging fiercely and quickly retreated behind the Hungry Ghost Image.

Han Yu kicked away a few newly emerged skeletons, reaching the Hungry Ghost Image, with the Relic in hand suddenly glowing brightly, causing Xuan Yin’s face to change dramatically.

”You’ve taken the Relic!”

Xuan Yin glared at Han Yu’s glowing fist, looking dark and grim.

”Break!”

A soft shout! Han Yu’s right hand punched with the Relic forcefully on the Hungry Ghost Image, instantly causing ghostly wails and howls. The skeleton Hungry Ghosts seemed to meet a terrifying natural enemy, letting out constant shrill cries.

As the Relic’s light shone on the Hungry Ghost Image, it began to dissolve. Simultaneously, Xuan Yin’s body shook as if struck by lightning, and he spat out a mouthful of black blood instantly.

The overwhelming tide of skeletons vanished without a trace, leaving Xuan Yin half-kneeling on the ground, looking completely defeated.

”He’s so biased. He’d rather leave a Relic to restrain me than trust me.”

Xuan Yin spoke with a face full of bitterness and a sorrowful expression.

”What a big joke. If your heart wasn’t wicked, how could the senior’s Relic harm you in the slightest.”

My cousin, with a look of having survived a disaster, came up and reprimanded.

Xuan Yin’s bitter face gradually twisted, ”He’s so biased. He thinks he’s merciful, yet he shows no mercy to me. I want you all dead...”

A bizarre wave emanated from his body, his face gradually withered, like a piece of bark in a few blinks, followed by his neck, his hands, gradually turning dark and dry.

”He’s sacrificing!”

My cousin shouted in horror, pulling Han Yu back continuously.

A new Hungry Ghost Image reappeared, but instead of countless hungry ghosts, there was only a blank desolate land.

A heavy sound echoed continuously on the land, each step unbelievably heavy.

Gradually, a pair of blue bare feet appeared in the Hungry Ghost Image, as if walking from afar.

When a blue figure fully appeared, my cousin’s face instantly turned pale.

”How dare you sacrifice Asura!”

My cousin shouted hoarsely.

Xuan Yin rasped, making a sound like a broken bellows, ”I want to take you with me to the grave...”

The blue figure, with a human head but only a single eye in the forehead, a burly body, holding a massive scimitar, slowly stepped out of the image.

As soon as the Asura appeared, it turned to look at Xuan Yin, smirked, and revealed a mouthful of sharp teeth. With just a light inhale, Xuan Yin turned into a pile of withered powder.

Han Yu took a breath of cold air, feeling somewhat anxious.

The sound of chewing rang out continuously, the Asura seemed to savor the taste, looking pleased, and after swallowing, it gazed at Han Yu and my cousin with a greedy expression.

”Eat!”

The Asura uttered simply, swinging the giant sword swiftly towards Han Yu. The blade hadn’t arrived yet, but the sword wind surged forward first.

Han Yu’s clothes flapped loudly from the wind, and the cold blade edge was upon him in an instant.

He narrowly dodged with a flash, but another slash came swiftly; the Asura’s clumsy figure had an unthinkably fast slashing speed.

Han Yu could only dodge awkwardly, ”Think of something quick.”

My cousin’s face was uncertain, and after hearing this, he quickly withdrew, disassembling three short swords rapidly, then assembling them quickly with a pile of iron pieces.

The Asura’s sword grew faster, Han Yu dodged too late, and a blade glint slashed his waist.

The intense pain nearly made Han Yu cry out, seeing the blood-soaked waist where flesh had been split open, a mass of blood.

Han Yu was shocked, a body’s resilience cultivated over sixty years couldn’t withstand an Asura’s slash!

”Don’t get cut. The Asura Blade specifically breaks flesh.”

My cousin shouted from behind, then threw out the giant sword in his hands.

”Use this.”

Grasping the black giant sword, Han Yu’s heart steadied, gripping the hilt tightly as the Asura Blade swung down again with the force of wind and thunder.

Han Yu charged forward with the sword in both hands, engaging in a tangled fight with the Asura.

The power gap remained too large, several clashes left his hands numb and trembling.

Glass quickly reminded him.

”Asura fears fire, use fire.”

Han Yu understood, freed his left hand, palm open, a searing flame gathered and spread along the sword.

When they fought again, the Asura truly feared the flames, beginning to be pressured back step by step by Han Yu.

”Suck!”

The Asura angrily stared at the ants before him, suddenly roaring.

A powerful suction seemed to pull out his very soul, the Glazed Bottle in Han Yu’s mind shook.

Glass shouted, ”Steady.”

The Glazed Bottle stabilized instantly, and Han Yu felt much better.

”Will the Relic work on it?”

Han Yu suddenly asked, looking at the blood-red mouth.

”Yes, but you have to get it inside its stomach.” Glass said.

”Then it’s ready-made, release control of the Glazed Bottle, let me go over.”

Feeling his body loosen, the suction swirled him again, Han Yu gripped the Relic, advancing instead of retreating.

Seeing the blood-red mouth before him, Han Yu unhesitatingly threw the Relic, and under that powerful suction, it entered the Asura’s mouth.

”Fire!”

The flame was summoned, and Han Yu, without a second thought, slapped a hand onto the mouth.

Seemingly suffering great damage, the Asura’s body froze, wanting to spit out the Relic. But how could Han Yu give it the chance? A jump, after feeding it the fire, he held its mouth tightly shut.

The Asura’s eyes widened, struggling fiercely, dropping the Asura Blade to tear at him, Han Yu also dropped the giant sword, using both hands to clamp the Asura’s mouth, not letting it open.

Man and monster rolled, wrestling, huge force striking Han Yu’s back, yet he never let go.

The burning smell gradually spread, starting to burn from the Asura’s belly. Soon a crack opened, widening until it reached the forehead.

”Die!”

The Asura shrieked harshly, its hands suddenly dropping from the attack, as it was instantly engulfed in flames.

Han Yu collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath.

The fire burned only for a moment before fading away with the Asura’s disappearance. After all, the Asura was merely a product of sacrificial divine techniques, lacking a real entity. When it disintegrated, naturally the divine technique was broken...
