I Ended the God at Level 1

71: The Fire Elf King Forcefully Promotes to God“Who do you think will win?”

“Although I don’t want to admit it, Liu Zhongxian’s poetic attainment is indeed high, beyond what ordinary people can achieve. Even the Light Elf King, who has read for thousands of years, feels ashamed, let alone this young man.”

“The Light Elf is definitely going to lose this time.”

As time passed, more and more creatures gathered around the arena.

Not limited to Light Elves and Fire Elves, humans, beasts, demons... various major races arrived upon hearing the news, all coming to join the fun.

Liu Zhongxian snorted coldly, walked to his desk, picked up the brush on the table, and began to write with a flourish.

“Liu Zhongxian’s speed is so fast!”

“Liu Zhongxian is indeed one of the most outstanding poets in Kyushu.”

Many people were amazed by Liu Zhongxian’s performance.

“What about that young man? What is he doing? Why isn’t he writing?”

“Could it be that he knows he has no chance of winning and has given up?”

Below the arena, everyone uniformly turned their gaze towards Li Si.

“It’s over!!”

At this moment, all the Light Elves’ hearts sank.

This kid is going to be the death of us!

Time passed, and Li Si remained motionless because he knew too many poems and was contemplating which one to use to win.

“Alas, in the end, I gambled and lost.”

The Light Elf King sighed with a long breath.

Soon after, Liu Zhongxian put down his brush and looked at the Water Elf.

“Host, I have completed my work.”

Then, he walked in front of Li Si, a sneer blooming in his eyes: “Young man, have you admitted defeat?”

“Admit defeat? How is that possible?” Li Si raised an eyebrow and said.

“Then why haven’t you started writing yet?”

“Writing? Does writing poetry require writing?”

Li Si said calmly, composed, as if it should have been so.

“Hiss...”

A chorus of gasps immediately sounded around them.

“What an arrogant young man!”

“Could it be... he can really win against Liu Zhongxian?”

“Impossible, he can’t win.”

......

“Young man, you said you don’t need to write when composing poetry? If so, have you completed your work?” Liu Zhongxian suppressed the anger in his heart.

“It’s already completed.”

Li Si smiled faintly, “Quiet Night Thought,” you are the one.

“Good!”

Liu Zhongxian sneered, “Host, he has completed his work. Should we start the voting?”

“Start immediately. But before voting begins, please read your works.”

“I’ll go first.”

Liu Zhongxian spoke first.

“Let me go first, I can save time.” Li Si chuckled softly.

“What do you mean?”

“What I mean is, after I finish reading my work, you won’t need to read yours. Because the victory is already decided, won’t that save time?” The faint smile on Li Si’s lips turned into a wild laugh.

When Brother Bai comes out, who can compete? Little Liu Zhongxian, just wait to kneel.

“He’s so arrogant!”

This thought arose in the hearts of all the creatures present.

“You...”

Liu Zhongxian immediately flushed, his blood pressure soaring.

“Alright, you go first.”

“Cough cough!”

Li Si cleared his throat and slowly recited:

“Before my bed, the bright moonlight,”

“Looks like frost upon the ground.”

“I raise my head to gaze at the bright moon,”

“Then lower it, thinking of my hometown.”

“Wow!”

The entire venue fell into dead silence.

“Thinking of my hometown? Mother, are you well at home?” An outstanding human hero burst into tears.

“Heaven, this artistic conception, this imagery, perfect, absolutely perfect!”

At this moment, this thought arose in the hearts of all the creatures present.

Just as the young man said, once his work was out, Liu Zhongxian indeed didn’t need to read his. Because there was no suspense, Liu Zhongxian couldn’t possibly win.

“I vote for the young man!”

“I also vote for the young man!”

“We all vote for the young man!”

At this moment, the hundred judges below the stage all stood up and cast their votes for Li Si.

“One hundred votes to zero votes.”

“I announce that the Light Elf wins the first round!”

The Water Elf struck the bronze gong in her hand, then swiftly drew a second slip of paper from the black box—

“Second round, the theme is flowers.”

“The rules are the same as the previous round, still six hundred breaths of time.”

At this time, the bewildered Liu Zhongxian was still muttering words like “impossible” and “thinking of hometown.”

“Is Liu Zhongxian crazy?”

“Perhaps, in front of this young man, who is like a bright moon, Liu Zhongxian is not even a firefly.”

All the creatures present pointed and whispered about Liu Zhongxian.

“Host, what else is there to compete for? Liu Zhongxian is already mad, just announce it, the young man wins.” A judge from the human race suggested.

“Exactly, people like Liu Zhongxian are not worthy of sharing the stage with this young man, just announce it.”

“Agreed, the gap is too big.”

“Quickly announce, the young man wins.”

“......”

The hundred judges from various races all raised their hands, urging the Water Elf to announce the result.

“I announce, the young man wins, the Light Elf wins.”

The matter was decided, and the Water Elf didn’t dither, announcing it unceremoniously.

“Yay! We won!!”

At this moment, all the Light Elves cheered.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations on receiving the quest reward—Light Elf favorability increased by 1000 points.]

[Congratulations on receiving the quest reward—Light Elf King’s reward.]

“OK, I can buy Light Energy Potions now.”

Li Si was full of anticipation, wondering what reward the Light Elf King would give him.

“Young man, your poetic talent is astonishing. May this King know your name?” The Light Elf King’s handsome face showed pleasure, and he spoke gently.

“Lawless Madman.”

“Alright, Lawless Madman, to thank you for winning the poetry battle, I have decided to bestow upon you a divine fruit.”

[Ding!]

[Congratulations on receiving the quest reward—Brutal Fruit.]

Brutal Fruit: Permanently increases critical strike chance by 5% and critical strike damage by 5% after use.

“...NB.”

Li Si thought the Brutal Fruit’s attributes were excellent.

He decisively consumed the Brutal Fruit—

Critical Strike Chance: 21% → 26%.

Critical Strike Damage: 205% → 210%.

Not bad.

Li Si believed this was already a good reward.

Attribute increase.

His heart was filled with joy.

However, just as the Light Elf dwelling place was celebrating universally.

“Boom!”

Terrifying crimson flames shot into the sky.

A Fire Elf soared into the air; it was the aged Fire Elf King.

“Snyder, since you won’t let me live, let’s die together!”

“Boom!”

Endless flames covered the sky and earth, appearing from the void, madly surging into the Fire Elf’s body.

[Ding!]

[Warning: Fire Elf King—Beska is forcibly ascending to godhood, unable to control divine power, and is about to cause an immeasurable divine catastrophe.]

[Warning: Fire Elf King—Beska is forcibly ascending to godhood, unable to control divine power, and is about to cause an immeasurable divine catastrophe.]

The warning messages flashed wildly in front of Li Si’s eyes hundreds of times in a second.

“Holy crap, I’m screwed!”

The Fire Elf King actually forcibly ascended to godhood!

At this moment, Li Si thought of the Wandering Swordsman and the Inferno Demon King in Mingyue Village; that kind of terrifying divine disaster was definitely not something he could contend with.

“Run!”

Li Si unhesitatingly took out his divine smith token.

However, at this moment, a prompt popped up—

[Ding!]

[You have been locked by Fire Elf King—Beska’s divine power. The God Craftsman token’s teleportation ability is temporarily ineffective.]

[Ding!]

[Warning: Affected by Fire Elf King—Beska’s enraged divine power, you take 10,000 fire damage per second until Fire Elf King—Beska’s enraged divine power dissipates.]

“Holy crap!!”

Now he was completely finished.

-8836!

The damage number popped up, and Li Si’s health bar plummeted by over 30%.

[Ding!]

[Heaven Rewards Diligence.]

[Life permanently +100.]

[Magic damage below 10000 reduced by 5% → 6%.]

It was good that the Limiter triggered.

But...

Help!

Li Si quickly looked at the Light Elf King, placing his hope in him. Because among all the NPCs present, only he was a Level 99 Legendary Monarch.

His level was always 1, and good items were stored in Divine Smith Valley, so even if Li Si died, there would be no actual loss, but if he could live, who would want to die?

“Buzz!”

The holy light was flawless.

The Light Elf King cast a pure white light barrier, protecting the entire city within it.

“Beska, immediately abandon your divine position. Otherwise, no one can save you!”

“Hahaha, I have little lifespan left, I’m going to die anyway, so it’s good to take you all down with me.” The Fire Elf King’s voice was filled with gloom.

He looked coldly at Li Si and said viciously: “Human ant, if it weren’t for you, my end wouldn’t be like this. You are the one who deserves to die the most!!”

“Boom!”

The Fire Elf King unleashed his divine power, carrying his wrath as he charged towards Li Si.

At the same time, on Blue Star.

In the sky above the Kingdom of England, endless crimson flames suddenly appeared.

“Boom boom boom...”

Crimson flames trailed long wakes, descending from the sky as if the Milky Way was falling from the heavens.

“Boom!”

A fireball struck a tall building, instantly vaporizing the entire structure, annihilating both people and building into nothingness.

“Oh—my—goodness—”

“God! Look at this!”

“God, please protect me!”

“......”

At this moment, the people of the entire Kingdom of England fell into despair.

At this moment, the people of the Kingdom of England prayed to God, begging God to manifest and save them from the world-ending flames.
