Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 382: Chapter 382: Escaping Without a Care for Anything

Enna Clark seized the opportunity, twisted her body, and gave the man a kick in return.

The most vulnerable place for a man is between his legs, and despite his precautions, the man was kicked there, howling in pain and letting go of her wrist.

Now was her chance!

Enna gritted her teeth and ran for it.

Jasmine Clark saw her escaping and screamed from behind, “Catch her, don’t let her get away!”

The two strong men, after enduring the initial bout of pain, chased after her.

Enna had already injured her knee, and during her abduction, her forehead had been brutally hit against the doorframe. She dragged her injured leg, without stopping for even a moment, running outwards.

With every step she took, the scraped wounds on her knee were as painful as if someone was scraping a knife across them.

Sweat dripped down her forehead, and Enna didn’t dare stop, running desperately for the exit…

She couldn’t die here; she still had her baby Bobby…and that man…

That maniac Baron Lawrence, if anything happened to her, he would flay Jasmine Clark alive. If he did something irreversible, then her family’s baby Bobby would be left an orphan…

No, she couldn’t let that happen!

Enna gritted her teeth, enduring the pain and quickening her pace.

“Stop!”

“You stubborn girl, stop, didn’t you hear me!”

The footsteps from behind grew closer and closer.

Enna didn’t dare to look back, and just as she was about to escape, suddenly, an iron door appeared in front of her.

The iron door was tightly sealed with chains, making it impossible to open… !

There was no way out ahead, and the pursuers were closing in from behind.

Enna truly felt what despair was…

What could she do?

With every second she spent thinking, the people behind her closed the distance.

Cold sweat covered her back; she bit her lip, swallowing the metallic taste of blood, and suddenly made a bold decision. She quickly lifted the nearby stone bricks and stacked them, then stepped on them, trying to climb up to the pattern at the top of the iron door…

Enna’s gaze was locked firmly on the pattern above her head.

If she could climb up there, she could use her leg as leverage and leap over the door!

Just a little hooking onto that spot…

Enna’s temples were covered in cold sweat, not knowing if it was from pain or anxiety. She repeatedly tried to hook her left leg onto the pattern of the iron door.

Each time, her wounded knee would collide with the iron door.

The already-open wound became even bloodier as a result, its appearance horrifying.

Enna was fully focused as if she couldn’t hear any surrounding noises, with everything around her seemingly silent. She concentrated all her mental power on the iron door.

Her knee collided with the iron door again, and this time Enna heard a cracking sound in her bone. The pain was so much that all color drained from her lips, and cold sweat once more broke out on her forehead…

Enduring the excruciating pain, Enna repeatedly tried to lift her leg.

Darling.

Baron Lawrence.

She took a deep breath, and finally, her left foot latched onto the pattern of the iron door.

Huge excitement and hope filled her heart in an instant, and Enna almost wept for joy.

Just what she needed!

Mustering her strength, she climbed upward, using her left leg’s power, supporting the weight of her entire body with that leg. Her calf muscles tightened, and she was almost at the top.

Suddenly, her right ankle was grabbed by someone—

Enna looked back and saw one of the strong men smiling maliciously at her, “Run then, keep running, I dare you.”

Heaven and hell were just a step apart!

One moment she was almost in heaven, and the next, she was dragged into hell!

Enna’s heart sank heavily..
