Super Gene Hunting Ground

According to the rules, Yang Xiao killed the person in charge of the stronghold and drove all the guards away, taking control of the stronghold.

The owner of Genetic Store granted Yang Xiao the new controller status, closed all Transmission Arrays, and opened a new Transmission Array to Nanmu City in Kongming.

In Nanmu City, Monk Ben Guo, Monk Ben Xun and others from Shenming Mountain Sect such as Xiao Lan and Ju Yun were waiting near the Transmission Array with hundreds of experts and two thousand elites.

As soon as Yang Xiao opened the Transmission Array, Nanmu City responded immediately.

Consequently, Monk Ben Xun and Xiao Lan led hundreds of experts through the Transfer Array to Shenlongjia one after another.

As the light flashed, Monk Ben Guo and his people appeared at Shenlongjia.

Yang Xiao finally felt relieved and said:

”Brother Ben Yin, take the five hundred Shaolin Temple experts to enter defense immediately.”

”Okay!”

Then, Xiao Lan with three hundred women also appeared at Shenlongjia.

Yang Xiao arranged for Lan Xin to take them to set up defenses nearby.

Next, two thousand elites were teleported over, led personally by Gong Yu.

Within a short moment, three thousand experts were stationed at the Genetic Store stronghold in Shenlongjia, which essentially secured Yang Xiao’s position.

After Ben Yin, Lan Xin, and Gong Yu finished setting up defenses, they gathered around Yang Xiao.

”Boss, this stronghold is now as solid as a fortress, what’s our next move?”

”Everyone strengthen the defenses and patiently wait. I estimate that Xue Dong, the City King of Xiangfan, will soon bring people over.”

...

In Xiangfan District, two guards emerged from the Transmission sound, hurriedly ran into a nearby building, and rushed into the conference room.

”Brother Dong, Brother Dong, that Giant Eagle has appeared. It’s fighting with us right at the entrance of Shenlongjia Scenic Area.”

Xue Dong immediately stood up and said:

”Let’s go, I want to see who this person is.”

He was accompanied by a dozen high-level executives, all of whom had High-Level Enhanced Gene cultivation.

They all rushed downstairs and entered the nearby Transmission Array.

”Strange, why can’t I see the name of the Shenlongjia station?”

Everyone was stunned, searching in the light ring of the Transmission Array, indeed it was not there.

A sense of foreboding quietly rose in everyone’s hearts.

Xue Dong said in a deep voice:

”This person has already taken control of this stronghold, it seems the opponent came prepared. Immediately gather a thousand elites. We’ll first go to a nearby stronghold twenty kilometers away and then run over.”

”Yes, Brother Dong, you go first, I will immediately gather the troop and rush over, damn it, daring to make a move on our turf, I’ll wipe them out.”

One of his subordinates said and walked out of the Transmission Array.

Xue Dong and the others then pressed for the closest stronghold to Shenlongjia Scenic Area’s entrance, Fengyang Town.

The group arrived at Fengyang Town.

The guards of Fengyang Town, seeing Brother Dong arriving, immediately said:

”Brother Dong, why have you come?”

”The Shenlongjia stronghold has been taken over, leave twenty people here, and take the rest with me to rush over.”

”Yes.”

Xue Dong was accompanied by a dozen high-level people, all of whom had already broken through to High-Level Enhanced Gene, his most important core subordinates. He thought with so many powerful people, going over to check the situation first shouldn’t be a problem, after all, the thousand elites should arrive half an hour later.

20 kilometers away, the crowd sprinted frantically, arriving in just tens of minutes.

At this moment, the Shenlongjia outpost had already been heavily fortified by Yang Xiao with three thousand experts and elites.

Five hundred Hard Bows, five hundred Elemental Mages, five hundred members of the Flying People Team, five hundred from the Plant Soul System, and a thousand Close Combat Beast Souls experts were strategically deployed—an impenetrable setup not just anyone could breach.

Especially among them were eight hundred practitioners of Ancient Martial Arts, where a single misstep could prove deadly.

When Xue Dong was still over a thousand meters away from the outpost, the outer patrol of the Flying People Team reported to Yang Xiao:

”Boss, someone’s approaching.”

”How many people?”

”This... seems like only about a hundred.”

”Pfft!”

Gong Yu couldn’t help but laugh,

”Do they really underestimate our boss that much? Just a hundred people wanting to take back the outpost?”

”Regardless of how many they are, everyone, don’t let your guard down. Let’s go out and see, be cautious, and let the archers hold back their offensive.”

Gong Yu nodded, hurried to the frontline of Defense, and instructed the archers:

”Archers ready, when the enemies enter a 200-meter range, fire immediately.”

”Yes!”

Meanwhile, Xue Dong and his men, fueled by rage, rushed towards them, chilling at the sight from afar.

”Damn, they really came prepared, look at that dense crowd ahead, at least two thousand people, right?”

”Doesn’t matter how many they are, once they step into our turf trying to snatch from the tiger’s mouth and take Shenlongjia, they’re daydreaming. Let’s charge in later and leave none alive.”

One of Xue Dong’s fierce generals bellowed.

Xue Dong’s brows furrowed.

The group gradually approached about 200 meters from the town when suddenly a sharp whistling sound rose.

An overwhelming Arrow Rain came hurtling down, including Elemental Arrows of Fire Element, Ice Element, Electric Element, and even Poison.

And from the sky, another barrage of arrows was fired.

Xue Dong shouted:

”Light Shield Defense, retreat!”

With a buzzing sound, a huge light screen unfolded in front of Xue Dong, and the rest immediately activated their Light Shields, connecting together and slowly retreating backward.

Those shooting arrows, after all, lacked enough cultivation; the Elemental Arrows that hit the Light Shields were immediately deflected without causing any damage.

Yang Xiao waved his hand, and everyone ceased firing.

Xue Dong and his men retreated a few dozen meters and stood firm.

Xue Dong stepped forward and said loudly:

”Friends opposite, please have your leader come out and speak. Where are you from? Why are you seizing my territory?”

Xue Dong was still puzzled internally about who coveted Shenlongjia and dared to so deeply invade the heartland of Xiangfan City—didn’t they fear him bringing tens of thousands to flatten this outpost?

As the City King of Xiangfan with Advanced Peak Enhanced Gene Cultivation, Xue Dong was somewhat confident in himself.

In the distant sky, a harsh scream echoed; Xue Dong looked up, it was Zhong Cailing leading several hundred members of the Flying People Team hurrying over. His heart stabilized a bit, knowing that the main forces would soon arrive, and even if the enemy temporarily had the advantage in numbers, he could summon more troops locally.

Yang Xiao walked out from the crowd and declared loudly:

”I’ve taken a liking to Shenlongjia; I have no interest in your Xiangfan City. If you smartly cede Shenlongjia, you can continue being the City King of Xiangfan.”

Xue Dong was startled, then burst into hearty laughter, retorting:

”My friend, that’s quite some audacity. Are you implying that if you set your sights on Xiangfan City, it would also be within easy reach?”
