A Journey That Changed The World.

Chapter 1615: Feeling Toasty Now?

Archer was bathing in the carnage of dealing with the Allianceʼs one last attack, but it was useless as the entire horde was destroyed. Once that was finished, he teleported back to the wall just as the women were chatting about his singing, and they looked fascinated, causing him to smile.

ʼʼIʼve always had a thing for it,ʼʼ he revealed. ʼʼNever had a good voice back on Earth, but here I do.ʼʼ

Their faces lit up with bright smiles before he brought them back to Sunfire City in a blur of violet magic. Once they reappeared in the palace, the group began to relax as the thunder boomed overhead. Rain lashed against the nearby windows, catching his attention. His gaze turned toward it, and he realized he couldnʼt see through it because of its weight.

After that, the five women sat down and started gossiping. He closed his eyes only to fall asleep, thanks to all the mana he used to protect the city, draining him of all his energy, and he needed to rest. By the time he woke up, the sun was starting to rise, and the port outside was bustling with activity.

While fully waking up, he sensed the Imperial Guard, Oathkeepers, and Kassandra prowling in the bay in her Kraken form. Archer located Aisha and Elara, who were organizing the ships. Olivia was nearby, cradling Amelia. The little white-haired girl glanced around at all the people, wide pink eyes full of intrigue.

Without pausing or grabbing a shirt, he teleported to his daughter, startling both her and her mother as he appeared before them. Amelia, recovering quickly, burst into giggles and reached out for him. A warm smile spread across his face as he swept her into his arms, embracing his little girl tightly.

ʼʼHello, my little darling,ʼʼ he greeted his daughter, kissing her on the forehead. ʼʼIʼve missed you so much.ʼʼ

The little girl squealed in delight as Olivia had a bright smile on her pretty face. She shook her head, speaking. ʼʼYou scared me, Arch, but itʼs good to see you, and little Amelia is coming with us. I want her to experience the sea at this age; sheʼll love it.ʼʼ

When Archer heard this, he nodded. ʼʼGood, but if thereʼs any danger, take her to the Domain; youʼll be safe there.ʼʼ

ʼʼI know, and there wonʼt be unless we come across a horde of monsters,ʼʼ she answered, a confident glint in her pink eyes.

ʼʼAlright,ʼʼ he said, turning his attention to Amelia, who was dressed in a puffy pink suit that was keeping her warm from the cold weather.

His face lit up before he peppered her chubby cheeks with kisses while speaking. ʼʼOh my, you look so cute, look at those big eyes and little dimples. So adorable.ʼʼ

Amelia reveled in the attention and wriggled around in his arms as Olivia asked, a hopeful expression crossing her face. ʼʼCould you look after her until we set sail, please?ʼʼ

ʼʼOf course,ʼʼ he instantly accepted and started spinning the little girl around.

This made her erupt into a fit of giggles as the older woman grabbed his shirt, giving him a passionate kiss, catching everyoneʼs attention, but no one said anything. After breaking apart, Olivia rushed off after saying goodbye to Amelia, who beamed at her motherʼs kisses. Once she was gone, he took her back to the palace.

When stepping inside, a portal opened, and Alexa stepped through alongside Hemera and Hecate. As the three womenʼs eyes landed on the little girl in his arms, they got happy and rushed toward their daughter. The Sun Elf peppered her in love-filled kisses while Heacte stroked her fluffy hair.

Archer watched this with a warm smile. After some time, the Moon Elf turned to him and asked. ʼʼCan we take Lexi to Dragonheart City? We want to show her the public library.ʼʼ

The golden-haired Elf spoke up next. ʼʼYes! We designed it after all. I want her to see what she can create if she puts her mind to it.ʼʼ

ʼʼThatʼs fine,ʼʼ he replied, opening a portal to the capital. ʼʼEnjoy yourselves.ʼʼ

They said their goodbyes and left him alone with little Amelia, who was letting out adorable noises before yawning. Archer smiled at this and slumped down in the same comfortable chair as earlier, wrapping them in a thick blanket. His daughter looked up, her big pink eyes full of love.

ʼʼYouʼre coming with me,ʼʼ he sweetly said. ʼʼLooks like your mama wants to introduce you to the sea already.ʼʼ

Amelia smiled at his words. She then rubbed her head against his chest and fell asleep moments later. Archer soon drifted off as the little girl was radiating warmth that beat back the cold air. Hours later, he felt someone nudging him; his eyes opened only to see a smiling Aisha standing there.

ʼʼEvening, handsome,ʼʼ the Dragonkin beauty greeted him with a warm expression. ʼʼItʼs time to board. Bring little Amelia, Iʼve made up a room for her and Selina.ʼʼ

ʼʼTeuilaʼs here?ʼʼ he asked, surprised at the sudden news.

The redhead nodded. ʼʼYes, she appeared here an hour ago and boarded with Selina already.ʼʼ

Archer smiled at this, stood up, and stretched while supporting the sleeping Amelia. The duo made their way to his personal ship, Dellah, designed for him. As he approached the vessel, he spotted Kassandra and Demetra swimming deep below. This caused Aisha to comment. ʼʼI doubt any monsters will attack during our journey with those two guarding the fleet.ʼʼ

ʼʼIʼll just send out a wave of mana to scare them away,ʼʼ he chuckled.

They stepped onto the ship and headed to the quarters where the others awaited. There, Aisha joined Teuila and Elara, who were gathered around the fireplace, basking in its warmth. He carried Amelia into the room that the redhead had indicated. As they entered, a little blue-haired girl spun around, her eyes snapping toward him.

She let out a joyful squeal, her gummy smile lighting up as she reached for him. The sight warmed Archerʼs heart, and he broke into a wide smile as he settled beside his other daughter. He gently set the now-awake Amelia next to her sister. The two greeted each other with a delighted hug.

ʼAt least they get on,ʼ he mused, happy with how his life has ended up.

His heart swelled as he watched his daughters giggling and clinging to each other. The shipʼs quarters were cozy, but a chill from the biting cold outside seeped through the walls. He wanted to ensure his girls stayed warm. ʼʼAlright, my little stars,ʼʼ he said softly, crouching to their level. ʼʼLetʼs make sure youʼre both snug.ʼʼ

He reached for a soft blanket in his Item Box and wrapped it gently around the duo, tucking it around their small shoulders. Their giggles grew as they nestled into the warmth, their cheeks rosy from the cold air that lingered. Archer sat cross-legged on the floor, pulling both girls onto his lap.

ʼʼThere we go,ʼʼ he murmured, rubbing their arms gently to warm them further.

Selinaʼs tiny hands grabbed at his fingers, her bright violet eyes sparkling, while Amelia babbled happily, her head resting against his chest. He glanced out the small window, where frost framed the glass, and pulled the blanket tighter around them. keeping the cold air at bay so they wouldnʼt get ill.

ʼʼYou two feeling toasty now?ʼʼ he asked, tickling Selinaʼs side and earning a squeal.

Amelia mimicked her sisterʼs laughter, her little hands clapping. Archerʼs gaze softened, and he pressed a kiss to each of their foreheads, savoring the moment. The cold might have been creeping in, but with his daughters in his arms, the warmth of their love was more than enough to keep them all cozy.

The fleet left Sunfire City and entered the open ocean only to be joined by three Draconia blimps that flew high above. He could sense their presence, but he didnʼt care and snuggled up to his two daughters. Selina glanced up as her stomach rumbled, prompting him to take out a bottle to feed the blue-haired girl.

Amelia spotted it almost instantly and demanded a share, compelling Archer to channel his mana to sustain them both while cradling the pair. He shuffled to the nearby wall and leaned against it for support as he fed the girls. They happily ate and held the bottles to make sure he wasnʼt taking them away.

Following this, he summoned his Mana Birds, sending them soaring above the fleet, granting him a birdʼs-eye view of the sprawling flotilla of ships. His gaze swept all over, the ships bobbing like scattered leaves on the sea. A snowstorm was rolling in, its swirling clouds heavy with the promise of chaos.

The first snowflakes drifted onto the decks below, dusting them lightly as the air grew colder. A chilling mist swept over the ships, driving the sailors to seek refuge in the warmth of the cabins or workrooms. Archer cuddled up to the girls while feeding them until they were full, prompting him to wind both.
