A Journey That Changed The World.

Chapter 1394: Sing For Me And Sister

Archer was standing at the Nightmare Ant Colony entrance and summoned Vivienne, who appeared from a portal that opened beside him. When the redhead spotted him, a smile appeared. ’’Hello, husband. What can I do for you?’’

’’Can I have ten of these little creatures?’’ he asked. ’’I didn’t want to take them without speaking to you.’’

The older woman looked at him like he was an idiot before replying. ’’There your monsters? Why are you asking me? Just take them.’’

Archer chuckled, shrugging lightly. ’’Respect, Vivi. They’re vital to your colony, and as my wife, I’d never take them without asking; it’s only right.’’

Vivienne’s smile bloomed at his words, her red hair catching the light. Moments later, she closed the distance, wrapping her arms around him and playfully pulling his head into her cleavage.

’’Thank you for being considerate husband,’’ she purred. ’’Yes, you can take some. I think they’d be happy to be safely tucked away for whatever you have planned, as long as it won’t harm them.’’

He leaned back, shaking his head, smiling. ’’Of course not, they will be safe and sound. I need the Honeydew they’re producing to create a drink my company can sell across the empire,’’ he revealed.

’’Interesting,’’ Vivienne mused, her expression thoughtful. ’’You’d need to dilute it with water or something to make it safe for humanoids.’’

Archer nodded in agreement. ’’Good point. I’ll figure out a plan, but first, I’ll stockpile as much as we can.’’

The older woman returned to her duties within the colony as he grabbed ten Aphids and teleported them to an empty part. He created a haven for the creatures, along with all the food they would need.

After this was done, Archer looked at them while creating two dozen barrels that would hold the Honeydew. He quickly spoke. ’’Live here in peace. All I ask is that you feel these up, and I’ll come back in a few weeks to pick it up.’’

The little Aphids chittered before going about exploring their new home that was blocked out from the outside world. Following that, he teleported back to Morena’s kitchen. She was busy going over everything.

’’Hello husband,’’ she greeted with a happy expression. ’’This place is amazing, thank you for making it for me.’’

Archer waved her away. ’’It’s no problem, just cook me some nice meals when you can,’’ he replied.

Following that, he continued watching her explore the kitchen as she went over the ovens and checked the fridges. The older woman looked at him and asked. ’’Would you like to go shopping with me, husband?’’

’’Where do you want to go? Avidia or Dragonheart City?’’ he replied with a curious expression.

’’Let’s head to the capital,’’ she answered. ’’I heard it has a big market that goes on into the night.’’

Archer nodded and opened a Gate back to Draconia. As they stepped through, a pleasant warmth greeted them, catching Vivienne off guard. Noticing her puzzled look, he smiled and explained. ’’Every city on the island has a shield to block harsh weather. They’re powered by Mana Battery Stations that I keep charged.’’

Morena smiled in response and grabbed onto his arm as the duo walked toward the market. As this happened, six Oathkeepers appeared from a portal, making him chuckle when they surrounded them.

Morena was confused. ’’Where did they come from?’’ she asked.

’’Their commander Thalion seems to know and sends them every time I return to Draconia,’’ he answered.

Following that, Archer led her to the market as people stared at them with shocked expressions. This caused Morena to giggle, ’’It’s like they’ve seen a ghost. Do you not come here often?’’

’’Not much,’’ he answered. ’’I’m going to start making it a point to appear in public thanks to the stupid rumors that I was killed spreads.’’

The older woman couldn’t help but laugh at the genius of it all. ’’Amazing, this will keep people warm during this horrible winter. I can even feel the cold through the shield and in the Domain as well.’’

’’Sorry about that. I just want the realm to be as life-like as possible,’’ he said. ’’Day and night, hot or cold, it depends on the time of year.’’

Moments later, the two spotted the market in the distance. Morena beamed before dragging him toward it. As they got close, the Oathkeepers closed in to keep people away as the couple reached the first stall.

This sold spices from the far east, which caught the eyes of the necromancer, but seconds later, her expression dropped. She turned to him, revealing. ’’I have no coin. I haven’t needed it for years since you give me everything I need.’’

Archer chuckled as he took out a pouch full of gold and handed it to the older woman with a smile. ’’Go crazy and buy anything you want, if more’s needed then I have plenty,’’ he revealed.

Morena’s blue eyes gleamed with delight as she took the pouch, eagerly browsing the market and picking out anything that caught her fancy. He didn’t mind trailing behind, arms laden with bags; her smile and happiness made it all worthwhile.

Following that, Morena bought all kinds of ingredients and other foods to stock her kitchen up. Somehow, she managed to buy so much that he was forced to store all of it in the Item Box.

An hour later, the two of them sat at a stall that sold chocolate-like hot drinks that the older woman wanted to try. ’’Thank you for coming with me, handsome. It’s nice to get out of the house once in a while,’’ she commented.

He agreed with a nod. ’’Yes, I’m enjoying not fighting or worrying about the Alliance attacking.’’

The necromancer giggled before revealing. ’’Wait until you see the new Tyrants. I guarantee if you use them, you’ll take all of Avidia within a few months.’’

’’Oh really? They must be strong,’’ he answered.

Morena nodded. ’’Triple the power of the first batch, but I have them in storage ready to be used as cannon fodder as I can’t upgrade them,’’ she said while taking a sip of her hot chocolate.

Archer tried some of the drink and found it sweet, thanks to the southern sugar he had introduced to southern Draconia. The farmers were happy to grow it as it earned them a lot of coin, but he raised the tax by a couple of gold, which people were happy to pay.

’’This stuff is delicious,’’ he said.

As they sat together, Morena turned to Archer, her smile warm. ’’I heard you can sing, husband. Nefertiti told us all about it from your time in her homeland.’’

Archer chuckled softly. ’’That was years ago. Yeah, I’ve been told my voice is good, but I don’t use it much.’’

’’One day you should sing for me and sister,’’ she suggested. ’’I know Demacia will love it just as would I.’’

’’Maybe,’’ he replied with a smile. ’’What’s your opinion on the girls getting pregnant?’’

When the older woman heard that, she shook her head. ’’Not yet, our work is not finished and I wouldn’t want to bring a baby into the world surrounded by death my love.’’

Archer nodded in understanding. ’’That’s fair. I know you and Dem are always busy with the experiments, so I don’t blame you.’’

Following that, the two kept drinking until Morena spoke. ’’Can we walk by the river?’’

’’Of course,’’ he answered before finishing his drink and standing up.

Archer extended his hand, and Morena’s face lit up as she clasped it warmly. Hand in hand, the couple strolled through the vibrant streets of Dragonheart City as they took in the bustling city, even if it was night.

They strolled hand in hand along the cobblestone path beside the riverbank, the air filled with the scent of fresh water and blooming jasmine from nearby gardens. The hum of the city buzzed softly, but their focus was on the flow of the river and each other.

Trade ships glided upstream, their sails catching the breeze as they carried crates of spices, silks, and glittering mana crystals. A sturdy galleon from Avidia passed close, its crew waving cheerfully.

Archer’s sharp eyes followed the vessel, a faint smile tugging at his lips. ’’Look at that one,’’ he said, nodding toward a sleek caravel with crimson sails. ’’Probably hauling wine from the Southern Isles far to the south. Bet it’s the good stuff.’’

’’Do you want to go buy some?’’ she replied while looking at the ship pulling into the nearby docks.

’’Yes, might as well since we’re here,’’ he answered before leading her toward it.

Ten minutes later, the duo appeared at the entrance to the docks that was guarded by dozens of Homeguards. When they approached, the commander, who was a giant of a human, went to stop them, but the soldiers grew quiet.

Archer chuckled and reassured them. ’’I’ve come to buy some wine from the southern traders.’’

When the older man heard this, he nodded before speaking. ’’Do you want me to lead the way? The place is like a maze.’’
