I Materialized the Cultivation Game

Chapter 23: Chapter 22: Are You Really Selling Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea with Just a Video?

After everyone else had left, Uncle Dagou and Uncle Shuisheng looked at Chen Han with anticipation.

”Xiaohan, has the Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea been successfully produced?”

”Yes, it has been successful, hasn’t it?”

Chen Han knew what the two were hoping for and nodded, saying, ”Uncle Dagou, Uncle Shuisheng, you two should first select 10 people from the clan specifically for making Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea. Since it’s labor-intensive work, we’ll start the wages at 7,000 per month. Once the tea is promoted and business improves, we can raise wages and hire more people.”

Yesterday, Uncle Dagou and Uncle Shuisheng had spent half a day harvesting over 80 pounds of bamboo leaves, yielding approximately 8 pounds after processing.

The bamboo leaf cores were even scarcer.

This efficiency was due to the fact that both were strong and already skilled in bamboo craftsmanship; other clan members might not achieve this level of efficiency.

To produce Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea exclusively, factors like physical endurance, as well as the drying and roasting processes, need to be considered, and the daily yield may indeed be this limited.

By hiring 10 people, we might achieve a daily output of about 35-40 pounds.

If focusing on roasting bamboo leaf cores, the yield might be even less.

However, since the Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea currently has no reputation and ordinary tea costs 5,000 per pound, not every tourist will purchase it, so the current production is sufficient for now.

Later, when the tea gains fame, we can recruit more workers and expand production.

Chen Dahe and Chen Shuisheng couldn’t help but feel excited upon hearing this.

Even working in a factory in Linhe County might not offer a 7,000-wage.

With such a salary every month, they could certainly help support their children working outside the village.

While the Chen Family is considered a large clan in Shangyuan Village, their living conditions aren’t favorable, so the youth often go out for work, worried about housing and wedding expenses.

The key point, as mentioned by Xiaohan, is that if the Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea sells well, wages will be increased later.

Instantly, they felt invigorated.

Uncle Dagou immediately requested, ”Xiaohan, shall we recruit people from the clan now? If we start picking bamboo leaves in the afternoon, we should be able to produce another batch by evening.”

”Yes.” Chen Han nodded, also remembering to remind them, ”But you can only pick from our Chen Family’s bamboo forest. I’ve researched that other places, due to different sunlight and soil, can’t achieve the same effect with their bamboo leaves.”

”Is there such a restriction?” Uncle Shuisheng said, surprised.

”Does this mean others can’t imitate it even if they want to?” Uncle Dagou realized this and smiled even more.

Neither of them doubted Chen Han’s words. After all, even with the same yangmei trees, the same planting methods, and the same fertilizers, the ones planted at the head of the village were sweeter, while those at the end were sourer.

Now, with the impressive effect of the Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea, it’s natural that bamboo leaves from different places have an influence.

Uncle Dagou immediately went to the Chen Family’s group and tagged eight of the most hard-working individuals, sending a message: ”The Patriarch has developed a type of bamboo tea. You eight should come make this tea with me and Shuisheng. The salary is 7,000 a month, gather here after lunch.”

Due to the formal announcement, he specifically used the term ”Patriarch” to show respect.

The members of the Chen Family were all thrilled upon seeing this information, as a 7,000 salary is quite substantial and can be earned within the family, making everyone eager to join.

Chen Shuisheng, in turn, sent a supplemental message: ”Everyone, please don’t be impatient. The Patriarch has just developed this bamboo tea, and to create more jobs for everyone, we need to start with work done right. For now, we need people who can take on labor and climb bamboo to pick leaves.”

This made the group quiet down.

After all, those who stayed behind were mostly middle-aged or elderly, and women certainly couldn’t handle this job, nor could the elderly.

The ones Uncle Dagou chose were indeed the most suitable.

Everyone understood that the young Patriarch, Chen Han, had taken on a difficult task at a young age.

Chen Han observed the situation in the group chat and felt reassured, leaving the tasks to Uncle Dagou and Uncle Shuisheng. He returned to Little Uncle’s courtyard, where the smell of herbs was already wafting.

Little Uncle was preparing lunch in the kitchen.

He walked in and saw the medicinal soup, which was nearly ready: ”Little Uncle, later please send one bowl of this medicinal soup to Mr. Zhao and inform my junior sister, Uncle Dagou, and Uncle Shuisheng to come over for some medicinal soup as well.”

”Alright.” Chen Lin nodded, looking for a cart, and once the soup was ready, placed one bowl on it, pushing it to the tourist center.

The Chen Family’s tourist center is next to the Martial Arts Arena in the ancient building complex. This place was originally built to house young men who were gathered from ten surrounding miles during times of frequent bandit troubles.

After the Chen Family started promoting tourism, this place was converted into accommodation for tourists.

Although the accommodations didn’t reach the exaggeration of 2,000 beds like Wudang Mountain, they could still host about 300 guests. The only issue was that most rooms were vacant, with only about 20 rooms equipped with air conditioning to accommodate guests.

Sun Xin and his girlfriend had completed their check-in, placed their luggage in the room, and stepped out since it was time for lunch.

”A Camp, Room 6. The room of the Chen Family is quite unique,” Sun Xin remarked with a smile as he held the room card.

Liu Yuanyuan commented, ”This must have some historical background; we can ask someone from the Chen Family about it later.”

After they went downstairs, their other companions were already there, seated around an Eight Immortals table, with dishes and cutlery set up.

They joined their companions, and soon after, people from the Chen Family arrived with the meal, all authentic country-style dishes.

Despite the fact that each person only paid 100 for their meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the spread was indeed generous.
