The Divine Urban Physician

Ye Fudong’s main branch and the other four branches that supported him had also lost many people in battle over the years. They had conflicts with the various sects of the Kunlun Mountains. That being said, Ye Fudong did not have the courage to antagonize the remnants of the ancient Ye family.

The other branch was responsible for managing the forbidden area. They had few children and were slightly different. Up until now, this branch only had five generations. There were only a few people, about a hundred of them, who were responsible for guarding the forbidden area and the important areas related to the family’s foundation. They usually hid in seclusion and would not come out unless the family was in danger.

In front of the gate of the Ye family’s territory, an ancestral temple was built on an empty space that was tens of thousands of square meters in size.

It was a majestic ancient building that was hundreds of meters tall, which had been constructed solely by the members of the Ye family, who had set up many formations and restrictions to prevent enemies from invading and disturbing the peace of the ancestors.

The plaque on the ancient building had the words “Ye Family Ancestral Temple” written on it in ancient characters, which looked particularly grand.

It was divided into several levels, and thousands of memorial tablets were placed inside it.

Ye Fudong and the others came over personally and said, “The other family members need to be recalled as soon as possible. No matter if they are, no matter what they are doing, we must summon them back!”

“This ancestral worship ceremony only happens once every hundred years, so whoever doesn’t come back will be expelled from the genealogy and will never be a member of the Ye family again!”

He looked around and pointed out, “Make the surroundings as grand as possible. Set up a banquet for everyone. After we have finished offering sacrifices, we will hold a banquet here. At the same time, we have to prepare a banquet for the other factions.”

Although the ancestral worship ceremony was a matter restricted to Ye family members, it was impossible for members of the family not to have married members of the other families or sects.

As such, during this time, they would definitely bring back their spouses and children, who in turn would usually be accompanied by experts from those factions as well, who would observe the ceremony. That being said, these spectators were not allowed to enter the ancestral temple.

Therefore, their banquet had to be held further away. Only the spouses and children were allowed to join the main banquet.

Of course, the place to kill Ye Chen had to be chosen and prepared.

“Also, inform the Huang family!”

“Ask them to send their Supreme Emperor realm experts over!”

Ye Fudong continued to make arrangements. He looked at everything in front of him and said, “Ye Wushuang, Ye Nantian, prepare yourselves. You will execute Ye Chen at the designated location. You will display the might of the Ye family and prove our loyalty to the Blood Spirit Clan to the Huang family!”

He then turned to look at Elder Ye Qing and Elder Ye Qin behind him and said, “Of the eight side branches, four of them are capable of fighting. All of the experts from the seventh and preceding generations should have come out of seclusion and made preparations to form the Seven Nights Soul Splitting Formation. If the person in charge of the third test can’t kill Ye Chen, we’ll move out together and kill him together!”

Ye Fudong refused to believe that the strength of the Ye family was insufficient to kill Ye Chen. This was their home turf. If they could not deal with him here, then their existence as a top family was doomed.

“Yes, Family Head!”

“Understood. We’ll separate the guests’ area from our own.”

Elder Ye Qing and Elder Ye Qin cupped their fists and immediately left to carry out Ye Fudong’s orders.

There were three areas. One of them was the place where the guests were to feast, from which they could not see what was going on in the other two areas. This was to prevent them from interfering when they took action against Ye Chen.

As for the other two areas, one was the place where the Ye family’s banquet would be held, while the other was the place where Ye Chen would be killed!

The Ye family began their preparations.

…

At the same time, in a mysterious place in an outer plane, a few people walked over to a magnificent door, their faces full of disdain.

The person in the lead wore a blood-red robe and carried an immortal sword on his back. There was a blood-red sword mark between his eyebrows, and he exuded a murderous aura that soared into the sky. It was as if he had emerged from a sea of blood.

“Let’s go,” he sighed and said, “We have to accomplish the mission that we’ve been assigned by that person.”

“This time, let’s use the Spatial Teleportation Formation to the seventh region and then travel to the Kunlun Mountains!”

“Why don’t we go through the Spatial Teleportation Formation to the eighth region? Isn’t that faster?” a woman asked. She was also wearing a blood-red robe and had a cold expression.

The man shook his head and explained, “We’re going to the Kunlun Mountains this time because the auras of several Blood Spirit Clan members have dissipated. That person became a little suspicious about what happened and asked us to investigate the situation.”

“The regular hundred-year mission to the Kunlun Mountains was accepted by Kui Mu and the others.”

“Their cultivation levels are higher than ours. Aside from accepting the tribute, they’re going to see if there are any talented people to recruit from the families and sects that have sworn allegiance to us.”

This person’s name was Hong Jian.

He continued, “In any case, even though we’ll be further from the Kunlun Mountains by teleporting to the seventh region, the elders have given us immortal artifacts to travel quickly. We’ll arrive in ten days at most. If we go to the 8th region, Kui Mu and the others will have to go to the seventh region instead, which will delay them.”

The woman stomped her feet and said angrily, “The Kunlun Mountains is a low-level martial plane and there’s only one Spatial Teleportation Formation. Despite that, they want us to hurry there? Damn it! When we get there, I’m going to kill everyone!”

There was only one teleportation formation that could reach the Kunlun Mountains directly. However, it had been reserved for Kui Mu and the others.

If Hong Jian and his group wanted to go, they had to use another teleportation formation that was further away from the Kunlun Mountains, which meant that after arriving, they would have to travel there by themselves.

“Let’s go!”

Hong Jian looked at his four companions and said, “This time, a few people stationed at the Kunlun Mountains were killed. We’re quite unlucky. I reckon a few ants are trying to rebel. Let’s go and suppress them!”

“Oh right, the elder has something to do. He will meet up with us later.”

The other team members were also filled with anger. Just as they were about to enter seclusion to cultivate, the elder ordered them to go to a trashy place.

Therefore, upon arrival, they wanted to go on a killing spree to sate their frustrations. They would kill thousands of people, or even more. At the very least, they would be able to absorb some blood energy to make up for their lost cultivation time.

As the five of them entered the spatial teleportation formation, a brief surge of spatial power erupted, and then they vanished.

After they disappeared, an old man emerged from the darkness. His old face was red as if he was drunk.

He was holding a gourd-like wine pot in his hand.

If Ye Chen was here, he would have realized that this old man was the expert he had seen on the rooftop of the hotel in Huaxia, who also happened to be the person who his grandfather had called an old acquaintance!

Although the old man was drunk, his eyes were extremely clear. He took a sip of wine and said indifferently, “That kid is in real trouble. Interesting, really interesting!”
