Chapter 1198: Chapter 405: Ambush_2

After all, within the Royal Academy, most are direct or collateral descendants of various aristocratic families, and the news travels fast.

Several of Cleya’s friends even came to ask her if she knew a young man named Rein from the Mingster Province.

This surprised Cleya greatly, but she simply said, ”Yes, why?”

When her friends explained the situation to Cleya, she was stunned for a long moment and replied, ”I also don’t know if he’s the one you mentioned, I’ll need to confirm.”

But in her heart, Cleya was nearly ninety percent certain that the Rein mentioned who killed the strongest legendary figure was indeed her Rein.

Back when she witnessed Rein’s power in defeating the cult at Meister’s mansion, she knew Rein’s strength was bound to reach legendary levels.

She just didn’t expect it to happen so soon.

In just a few months, Rein had already reached legendary status, and it seemed that he was indeed a top-level strongman in the legendary ranks.

This...

So, today she deliberately came to find Rein, and also wanted to give him a surprise, but she didn’t expect to witness such a scene.

She still remembered the capable mercenary woman just now.

At that time, Rein introduced her when he was at Meister’s, and she came to her family mansion several times, seeming to be an internal staff member of the Mingster Branch’s sword bearer.

Though she didn’t know how the other ended up in the Imperial City, clearly, this time she was abducted, and the purpose was self-evident.

However, there were two people, if she attacked from the front, her strength might not be enough to defeat two.

More importantly, attacking head-on, Cleya couldn’t guarantee she could save the other person.

Thinking about it, Cleya pretended not to see what was happening, kept her eyes straight and walked past on the sidewalk.

Meanwhile, the black-robed figure beside the coachman looked around repeatedly, either being alert or observing the strength of the surrounding pedestrians; when he saw Cleya, his gaze clearly lingered for a moment.

Clearly, he noticed that Cleya’s strength was not weak.

But seeing Cleya was totally relaxed, especially with her hands not holding the hilt of the knight’s longsword at her waist, he then glanced over and looked at other people.

Something’s wrong! Just as the other vaguely felt something amiss.

In a flash, Cleya’s agile and strong legs suddenly sprang off the ground, and she lunged towards the carriage like a suddenly attacking leopardess.

The sudden attack combined with the speed boost from Cleya’s bloodline talent, the black-robed figure sitting next to the coachman wanted to stop her furiously, but it was too late.

He had just turned around and saw a brilliant figure dashing into the rear compartment of the carriage.

”Boom!”

At this point, the black-robed person inside also noticed something was wrong, and with a fierce look on his face, he was about to stab the capable mercenary woman Olena with the knight’s longsword in his hand.

”Clang!”

However, it was blocked by another knight’s longsword.

And Olena, showing a look of delight, immediately retrieved a defense witchcraft scroll from her waistline, and a thin pale blue membrane enveloped her.

As the carriage shattered into pieces and fell, the surrounding passersby screamed one after another.

The two black-robed figures glanced at Olena, then looked fiercely at Cleya, knowing that this mission was most likely a failure.

Although returning empty-handed would certainly bring punishment from the cult.

Well then, if they couldn’t take her alive, dead would do.

Moreover, this noble girl, though her strength was decent, was merely on par with them and had merely been caught off guard just moments ago.

Most importantly, they had two people, with a front and rear assault, they could resolve the opponent swiftly.

The two quickly exchanged glances before charging at Cleya from front and back, making Cleya’s heart tighten, immediately holding her sword defensively.

But just as they were about to attack her, suddenly, the one in front threw a gray bottle at her.

With the bottle shattering and smoke rising, the two suddenly turned and attacked Olena, who was running towards the Rein Mansion!

”Damn it!” Cleya looked panic-stricken, realizing that the actual target was always Olena.

The strength of the two black-robed assassins was formidable, and just as they were about to catch up to Olena with a look of joy on their faces, a whirring sound came from their left side.

When they turned their heads to look, their pupils suddenly shrank!

Because what was coming at them was a particularly large rotating shield.

The whirring sound was the sound of the shield spinning at high speed!

For a moment, the two didn’t dare to take it head-on, immediately stopping and dodging the shield’s attack. But because of this pause, a nimble and fierce barbarian woman warrior with a battle axe jumped in between them and their target.

”Another one?”

The two couldn’t help but feel shocked and enraged!

Had they stirred up a nest of women?

Usually, it’s rare to see strong female knights.

And warrior women are even rarer.

Yet now, two appeared in one go, truly unbelievable!

The moment was crucial, as they could hear the sound of organized footsteps approaching from all around.

This was Imperial City Tamriel; it only took a minute or two for the patrol team to arrive.

They needed to act immediately, but as they bent their knees slightly and tried to start their attack, the shield suddenly spun back, leaving them speechless!

Damn it!

”Bang!”

One of them turned around, kicked the shield from below upward, sending it into the air, but Lagaray’s battle axe swung down towards him!
