Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 654: 654 playboy’s common problem, making fierce threats

Although Mu Cheng and Wu Qiuyun hadn’t been particularly cruel, the fact that Mo Yanhong was kneeling and begging for mercy meant he had completely lost face. For someone like him, groveling was far more severe than suffering serious injuries—it was a life-long humiliation that he could never wash away. He had indeed received the lesson he deserved.

”Are you not going to help me up?” Seeing that the few guards were still stupidly standing to the side, Mo Yanhong bellowed in an urgent and frustrated tone. Fearing that Mu Hanyan would be unrelenting, he couldn’t bear to stay there a moment longer.

The guards hastily stepped forward, lifting Mo Yanhong and carrying the seriously injured Dai Songling. They fled like dogs that had lost their homes.

At the door, seeing that Mu Hanyan hadn’t spoken and no one had chased after them, Mo Yanhong finally breathed a sigh of relief. Thinking back on the previous events, even he felt ashamed and wanted to throw back some harsh words to regain a bit of face. This was a common problem among playboys—no matter how big the loss or how much face was lost, they would never admit defeat verbally.

Turning his head, Mo Yanhong was about to speak when suddenly, a clear whistle soared into the sky, stirring the clouds and changing the wind.

A vigorous qi also shot up into the sky, breaking through the roof. Then, the upright figure of Yan Yuchu flew into the air, his sword tassel fluttering with the wind, like an ancient War God descending to earth.

”He’s advanced, this guy hasn’t come out because he was making a breakthrough to advance,” Mo Yanhong’s face changed drastically.

This wasn’t his first time seeing someone make a breakthrough, but such momentum he had only seen among a few of the clan elders. Even though he didn’t know exactly what Realm Yan Yuchu had reached, it was obviously much higher than he had anticipated.

”Third-level Sword Master, he’s actually a Third-level Sword Master, hurry, let’s go!” Dai Songling’s face was even uglier than Mo Yanhong’s as he said this in a panic. With his strength, he could certainly discern Yan Yuchu’s Cultivation Realm.

Mo Yanhong was so scared that his face turned pale. He didn’t dare throw out any harsh words now. Shaking off the hands of the two guards supporting him, he was the first to rush out. He ran so frantically that he even kicked up a cloud of dust behind him.

Of course, Mo Yanhong had to run fast. Mu Cheng and Wu Qiuyun had let him go, and Mu Hanyan wasn’t pursuing the matter anymore, but Yan Yuchu hadn’t vented his anger yet. Who knew if this guy would take action and whether Mo Yanhong would still have a chance to save his own life. He had witnessed the courage of Mu Hanyan and her group—the reputation of the Mo Family could intimidate others, but not them.

Soon, the group had run off completely.

”Congratulations, you’ve suddenly advanced to a Third-level Sword Master,” Yan Yuchu landed back on the ground, and Mu Hanyan immediately went up to congratulate him. Just like Dai Songling, she had also seen Yan Yuchu’s strength.

”Actually, I’m just a Second-level Sword Master, but my combat power should probably be equivalent to the third tier now. Still, it’s quite good for intimidating people,” Yan Yuchu blinked, lowering his voice as he spoke.

”Then congratulations even more,” Mu Hanyan’s eyes shone, as she sincerely said.

Being able to possess the combat power of the third tier at the Second-level Sword Master stage and displaying such an impressive display of power during advancement was comparable to a Third Stage Sword Master. This showed that Yan Yuchu’s potential far exceeded that of his peers, and his future achievements would be even greater.

”It’s all thanks to you. If it weren’t for your help, I would never have had such strength. I fear I’ve caused you to suffer a great loss of Primordial Energy; I truly feel terrible about it,” Yan Yuchu said, then deeply bowed to Mu Hanyan, his eyes moistening with gratitude.

He had truly been focused on advancing, unlike Mu Hanyan’s situation, so he was completely unaware that Mu Hanyan had also advanced, nor did he know about the events that had occurred outside.
