Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 330: Chapter 330: The Super Brat 14

”Don’t worry, I won’t let him die.”

She wouldn’t let the little devil die so easily.

The original master had been beaten and abused by him for seven or eight years before dying. She wanted the little devil to experience the pain the original master had endured for a few years.

She kicked Guo Xiaotao and said, ”My dear son, go to the storage room and bring out some sweet potatoes. I’m planning to make baked sweet potatoes for lunch.”

”I’m not going, you lowly woman. One day I’ll get rid of you,” the little devil glared at her defiantly.

”Oh, seems like you’ve got quite a backbone. Fine, if you don’t go, then don’t expect any lunch,” Yuan Chun went to the storage room and dug out five sweet potatoes as big as bowls from a large soil basket.

Right in the yard, she dug a pit, wrapped the sweet potatoes in oil paper, and threw them in.

Then she went to catch an old hen, wrung its neck, plucked its feathers, cleaned its innards, marinated it with the few seasonings in the kitchen, wrapped it in a layer of oil paper, and covered it with a thin layer of mud.

Finally, she placed the prepared hen in the pit with the sweet potatoes, buried them together, and Yuan Chun happily roasted eggs, chestnuts, and peanuts in the yard.

The chestnuts and peanuts were taken from a burlap sack in the storage room.

The barbecue tool was a shovel she dismantled, placed over the fire, perfect as a grilling pan. Soon, the little yard was filled with the aroma of food.

Yuan Chun swallowed her saliva and set the roasted eggs, chestnuts, and peanuts aside in a wooden basin to cool.

Suddenly, a small hand quickly grabbed a roasted egg and ran.

When Yuan Chun looked over, she heard a loud bang as the door slammed shut inside the house.

Yuan Chun shouted angrily, ”You hungry ghost reincarnated little bastard, that’s lunch you’re snatching. It’s not like I’m not giving you food. You’re born to be whipped like a cucumber! Born to be hammered like a walnut! Born to be kicked like a broken bicycle! When you grow up, even the wife you find will be ’screw-like,’ deserving a good twist!”

”You tell me, why are you so asking for it, constantly needing a slap, a kick, even donkeys want to kick you, pigs want to trample you, ...”

Ah, spit...

Seems like I cursed myself.

Yuan Chun pursed her lips and looked sympathetically at Guo Jinghong, who was watching the commotion nearby, and nudged her, ”Jing Hong, you poor thing, having parents who favor sons over daughters and then a violent crazy nephew. Because of him, your parents trapped you at home to take care of kids and do chores, not allowing you to marry. You’re already twenty-six, right? In the whole county, you’re the only old maid of this age who hasn’t married.”

”Jing Hong, not that I’m nagging, but you’re too honest. You’re their daughter too. Why do they degrade you?”

”You and your brother came from the same belly, yet the treatment in this household is worlds apart. Are you content with this?”

Guo Jinghong pursed her lips and stayed silent.

She’s not content, but what can she do?

She can’t disobey her parents, or she’ll get a beating.

She doesn’t want to be beaten to death.

She wants to live.

”Jing Hong, in this house, if you don’t resist, you will only face death. Think about it, when Guo Xiaotao was beating you last night, no one in the house stopped him, nor did anyone come out to help you. Guo Jinghong, in the eyes of your parents and brother, you’re nothing but a slave, a nanny, a beast meant to be beaten and scolded.”
