The Yellow-Haired Villain in Soaring Phoenix's Novels Also Desires Happiness

A chill rose from Tyron’s spine, climbing all the way upward before finally circling above his head, tugging constantly at his hair, urging him to run... run!

Dominion-rank. That level already made it a king among demonic beasts, a powerful monster that even an ordinary fifth-rank warrior would turn and flee from to save his life. It was absolutely not something a mere fourth-rank gang leader like him could deal with.

The fact that this kind of monster would appear in a city district was something Tyron had never even imagined.

So.

Run.

Otherwise... he would die!

“Fuck!”

Tyron suddenly bit the tip of his tongue hard, tearing himself free from that fear that had almost drilled into his bones. He glanced out of the corner of his eye and found that the ordinary residents had more or less finished evacuating. So without the slightest hesitation... he immediately turned around and slapped his confidant, who had almost pissed himself from fright, across the face.

“Wh-what happened?” His confidant came back to his senses in terror.

“Quick. Take the men and go. Leave this place.”

“Huh? Boss, didn’t you just say...”

The earnest teaching was still ringing beside his ears. The moving rush of hot blood had not cooled yet either. How had he changed his mind just like that...

“Just now was just now. Now is now. Don’t use just now to judge now. Be flexible! How the fuck are you this bad at adapting?”

Tyron slapped the useless bastard on the forehead again. “Quick! Go right now!”

“Oh, oh, oh, I got it!”

His confidant immediately shrank back behind the barricade, preparing to command those subordinates who had likewise already had the courage scared out of them to withdraw. But not long after he ducked back, he suddenly stuck his head out again.

“Right, Boss, what about you?”

“What about me?”

“If we all leave, then you...”

“Can’t you see?”

Tyron spat a mouthful of bloody foam into each palm, fiddled around a few times, and picked a more suitable weapon from the pile of corpses on the ground.

“I’m not leaving.”

“You... you’re not leaving? But...”

“But what? Do you think if no one holds this damn thing back, you two-legged ones can outrun something with four legs?”

“Roar!”

As if in response to Tyron, the demonic beast suddenly roared, and two enormous bone wings spread out from its back.

“See?”

Tyron forcibly suppressed the twitching corner of his mouth... as well as his trembling hands.

“It even fucking has wings! I really don’t know what kind of mutt this damn thing was crossbred from. Not like a lion, not like a tiger. It’s a complete four-unlike!”

“Boss...”

This time, his confidant could not follow Tyron’s jab. He only looked at him, his expression sorrowful.

Because he knew what Tyron choosing to stay meant.

“Get the hell out!”

Tyron suddenly roared, “Don’t make me cut you down too!”

“Yes!”

His confidant wiped away tears, turned, and ran.

“Protect those people.”

At the final moment when his confidant disappeared with the others, Tyron’s expression softened, and he said in a low voice, “Don’t let the name Posis disappear completely from this world from now on...”

The wind blew against Tyron’s ragged hem. Whether it carried those words onward was unknown.

“Touching. Truly touching.”

Beast Tamer clapped again, as if he had just watched an excellent performance.

“To let the people under you escape, you’re even willing to sacrifice yourself. What a tragic drama. I almost can’t help offering you my most sincere admiration!”

“In that case, how about you show a little kindness, treat me like a fart and let me go, and stop chasing those people too?” Tyron took a deep breath and, using the time he had bought, quickly recovered his condition.

“How could that be allowed?”

Beast Tamer shook his finger. “Although I do appreciate this sort of drama, the plot where one sacrifices himself and successfully saves others is far too cliché. I hate cliché things, so I must add a plot of my own to it.”

“What plot?”

“Let me think...”

Beast Tamer pondered for a while, then clapped his hands.

“How about this? I kill you first, then wait a little while. Once those people all think they’re safe, I’ll carry your head over and knock on their door. What do you think?”

As he spoke, Beast Tamer’s expression turned intoxicated. “The people inside hear your voice and think a miracle has happened, that you’ve successfully returned... Only after they open the door, what they see is your head, bleeding tears...

“Ah, what a beautiful image. Just thinking about it... just thinking about it makes me unable to hold back from climaxing!”

“...Go fuck yourself, you dead pervert!”

Tyron finally could not endure it anymore. While gathering strength, he took the initiative to move forward.

From the other side’s calm posture, he already understood that recovering his condition would have no effect on the result. The other side clearly possessed some method of tracking them. Delaying for time was useless. He could only stake everything in one desperate fight.

“Oh? Not only are you not running away, you’re even trying to launch an attack on me yourself?”

Beast Tamer raised a brow and said delightedly, “You truly are quite a fine fellow. Come then. Before I use your head to perform another drama, I permit you to announce your name!”

“Tyron.”

Tyron was expressionless. “Tyron, Beast of Posis!”

“Beast of Posis... A fine title! Unfortunately, the one you face is a king among demonic beasts! Beast against king... there can only be a crushing defeat!”

The demonic beast paced forward, foul-smelling saliva flowing from its mouth, approaching Tyron step by step.

It did not take the initiative to attack. Instead, like a cat toying with a mouse, it was observing him, teasing him, even thinking... about what method it should use to play with the prey before its eyes.

A Dominion-rank demonic beast against a fourth-rank warrior. Of course this could only be called playing!

Clang—

A sharp blade slashed over, still carrying the same courage as before, as if one man could hold off ten thousand.

But the demonic beast merely raised a claw.

The standard heavy sword equipped by the royal knight was instantly shredded.

“Damn it.”

The veins on Tyron’s forehead bulged. His hands trembled without stop. Even though he had already made up his mind, when facing this impassable gap, he still found it difficult to suppress that instinctive fear.

It seemed he really was going to die here.

Before death, Tyron could not help lifting his head and looking at this block, most of which had been reduced to ruins.

This block called Posis was the place he hated most in his life, because he had been born here. It was also the place he could least bear to part with in his life, because he had grown up here.

And now, he would die here.

“Beast! Come!”

But even in the final moment, even when facing an enemy he could not defeat, the Beast of Posis... would still roar!

Tyron tightened his grip around the broken weapon. “Again!”

“Haha, good!”

Beast Tamer laughed in excitement. Under his command, the king among demonic beasts naturally became even more terrifying in momentum. After Tyron roared, it also wrapped itself in a surging stench-laden wind and released the roar belonging to a king of demonic beasts!

“Roar... meow!”

“Haha, listen well, Beast. My demonic beast king’s roar is surely even more... eh?”

Beast Tamer had just been about to push the atmosphere to its climax, but after that kingly demonic beast’s roar, he froze in place.

Tyron also froze.

Meow?

This was... the roar of a king among demonic beasts?

Had he heard wrong?

That sound did not have the majesty he had imagined. Instead... it was a little cute?

Was this demonic beast such a cute creature?
