The Yellow-Haired Villain in Soaring Phoenix's Novels Also Desires Happiness

“Should be here, right?”

In the empty, silent corridor of the old building, a graceful figure suddenly appeared.

It was Liya.

Even though it was class time, she had suddenly come to this place—an old club building said to be on the verge of being abandoned, where she normally would never set foot.

It was her first time here, and the unfamiliar environment left her uneasy. She was navigating purely by the slip of paper in her hand.

“The classroom at the very end...”

Liya raised her head and looked at the plaque above the classroom door in front of her.

“Ancient Potions Club? Huh, does our Academy even have such a club?”

“Whatever, according to the address Muen Campbell gave me, this should be it.”

Finally finding the spot, Liya tucked the slip of paper away with satisfaction. But just then, a gust of cold wind swept through, making her shrink her neck and shiver.

“This place... it’s so remote...”

She looked around.

Although it was class time, not all students had their lessons packed into the same schedule.

Normally, there should have been at least one or two students passing by.

Yet at this moment, within her sight, not a single person could be seen.

The entire floor was filled with abandoned classrooms, each bearing strange club names on the doors—small, niche societies that had gradually declined and vanished with time.

Empty classrooms. Empty halls.

It immediately reminded Liya of the ghost and demon stories Ariel had once told her just to frighten her.

“To think he’d invite me to such a desolate place... Muen Campbell really does have bad intentions! I almost fell for his sweet words last time!”

Liya clenched her small fists and swung them, muttering with gritted teeth.

For nearly a month, he hadn’t contacted her, and she’d thought Muen Campbell had already forgotten about everything before. She had been ready to brand that guy a backstabbing traitor.

All the money she’d saved was already spent. She had even been planning to sneak out of the Academy again and earn money by performing.

But then Muen Campbell had suddenly contacted her.

Now it seemed Muen Campbell hadn’t forgotten at all. Instead, he had been scheming this whole month!

Otherwise, in such a huge Academy, why would he invite her to a secluded place like this?

There had to be a plot!

Ariel had been right—someone like Muen Campbell should never be trusted!

A sly glint of wisdom flickered in Liya’s eyes.

But—

Luckily—

She had been cautious.

She had made the brilliant choice to come a day early, to scout things out in advance.

Otherwise, she really might have fallen into his trap!

“Hmph, Muen Campbell, did you really think I’m just big boobs with no brain?”

Liya proudly planted her fists on her hips.

“Just watch how I catch you red-handed!”

For Muen Campbell to choose such a secluded place, he must have a hidden reason.

That meant all she had to do was secretly come and investigate, and she could expose his conspiracy!

“Except...”

Liya tilted her head curiously. “It doesn’t seem like I can get in.”

Every window of the classroom was tightly covered with pale-blue curtains, not even leaving the tiniest gap.

When she pushed at the classroom door, it wouldn’t budge at all, as if locked tight.

“Hiding it this well—there must be something shady inside!”

Liya waved her little pink fist again, her chest bouncing along with the motion.

She was now completely convinced of her suspicions—

and even more determined to uncover the truth!

After circling the place, she returned to the window.

Forcing the door open was out of the question, so her focus fell naturally onto those pale-blue curtains.

The window was sealed shut, but not entirely beyond manipulation.

Besides, all she wanted was to take a peek. That much wouldn’t be hard.

Liya raised her finger and rubbed it lightly.

From her fingertip blossomed a golden, sacred light.

The light condensed into a golden butterfly, which, under her control, silently fluttered through the window.

It landed on the curtain.

Then, bit by bit, the butterfly pulled the curtain open, revealing the scene inside.

“Huh? Someone’s in there?”

Seeing a figure, Liya instinctively focused her gaze.

“That’s... Muen Campbell?”

“What’s he doing?”

“And it doesn’t look like he’s alone. There’s another... girl?”

The dim classroom seemed to be muffled by some kind of barrier—no sound came out. But Muen Campbell’s shining blond hair was eye-catching as ever. At this moment, he was hugging a girl’s waist from behind...

The girl in his arms looked as if she was in pain, her head tilted back, hair flying wildly. From Liya’s angle, she could clearly see the tightly furrowed brows.

One of the # Nоvеlight # girl’s hands was pressed tightly against her lips, as if stifling something. The other was gripping the desk with all her strength. Fragile, like a flower tossed violently by the wind.

“This is...”

Liya’s eyes went wide. Her mind exploded with thunder and lightning.

This was...

Muen Campbell bullying someone?!

In a flash, her imagination filled in the rest: Muen Campbell trapping an innocent girl in this sealed classroom, pinning her down, and even viciously kicking her butt with his knee!

Cruel!

Terrifying!

Unbelievable!

Muen Campbell, how could you do something like this to such a delicate girl?!

What should I do, what should I do?!

I have to save her!

“There’s no time to call for help—I’ll have to do it myself!”

Liya bit her lip and began to gather holy light in her palm.

Although direct combat wasn’t her specialty, as the Church’s candidate Saintess, how could she sit by while such cruelty took place?

She had to stand up!

Just as she was about to smash the window and shout “beast!” to stop the act—

the movements inside suddenly changed.

The girl who looked like she was suffering abruptly turned her head and kissed Muen.

Muen bent down in return, and the two kissed passionately.

“Eh?”

Liya froze.

She was stunned.

The thunder in her head crashed down—only to bounce back and scatter uselessly.

Her thoughts tangled into a storm, sweeping away the notion of Muen Campbell “bullying” the girl.

Because now she noticed the details she had missed before.

Both of them were fully dressed, though their clothes were somewhat disheveled.

Muen Campbell’s hand wasn’t only on the girl’s waist. Through the gaps of her buttons, it had slid deeper inside. She could even make out the outline of his palm pressing against the girl’s chest—one only slightly smaller than her own.

And it was impossible for Muen Campbell to be kicking her butt—his legs were planted firmly on the ground, his knees bent in a half-horse stance for balance.

If it wasn’t his knee or leg striking her—

then what was it?

“Th-th-th-this...”

Inside Liya’s head, it was like a ball of yarn tangled up by a cat—thoughts twisted together into a chaotic mess.

At last, she grabbed hold of the single loose thread.

Even though she had never experienced such a thing.

Even though she had never truly seen it before.

She still instinctively understood the meaning of this act.

“Could this be... the legendary... b-b-b-baby making?”

Liya’s little face turned bright red with a pop, faint steam rising from the top of her head.

Raised under the strict discipline of the Church, her knowledge of the opposite sex barely went beyond hand-holding and kissing. At most, she had read a few vague descriptions in novels and, under Ariel’s influence, sometimes dared to make a cheeky joke or two.

But now, this pure and innocent future Saintess, staring at the scene before her—was utterly, completely, greatly shocked!
