Rise in the Martial Chaos: Starting From a Martial Arts School

The Elders all had a good attitude toward Yang Jing, clearly seeing great potential in him.

Only the lean Elder frowned slightly, offering a bit of mild advice. ”You’re a strong kid, but you were a bit heavy-handed at the end. A spar should stop once the point is made; there’s no need to go for the kill.”

That said, he didn’t say anything more. The rules of the Cyan Qilin Platform were what they were, and more serious incidents had occurred in the past.

Just then, the white-haired and bearded Elder Sun looked at Yang Jing with a hint of curiosity in his eyes and asked a few more questions. ”How long have you been in the sect? Your martial arts foundation seems more solid than that of many veteran disciples.”

Yang Jing answered respectfully, ”This disciple is untalented; I’ve only just joined the sect four months ago.”

”Four months?” Elder Sun was taken aback for a moment, a flash of surprise in his eyes. He then smiled and nodded, his tone filled with pleased encouragement. ”Excellent, excellent! To have achieved so much in just four months... Cultivate well, and strive to enter the Qi Eating Realm soon to bring glory to the sect!”

Yang Jing respectfully affirmed.

Soon, Zhao Chong was also led over by another Main Peak Disciple.

His face still showed some of the fatigue from his fight with Yang Jing, but he couldn’t hide a trace of joy in his expression. He stepped forward and bowed deeply to the four Elders, his movements perfectly proper.

After bowing, he turned to Yang Jing beside him and gave a slight nod as a greeting.

Seeing this, Yang Jing also nodded in response, his expression calm.

Elder Sun looked at the two young disciples before him, stroking his salt-and-pepper beard. A gentle smile appeared on his face as he began to speak slowly. ”You two are this month’s first and second place winners of the Cyan Qilin Battle. According to the rules of the Xuanzhen Sect, the sect will naturally reward you to encourage your diligent cultivation.”

Hearing the word ”reward,” Yang Jing’s heart skipped a beat, and he subconsciously held his breath.

He had participated in the Cyan Qilin Battle precisely for the sect’s rewards. Why else would he have endured days of grueling battles, fighting desperately against other top disciples?

After two days of continuous, bitter fights, his body was naturally exhausted. Now, he was finally about to receive his due reward.

Elder Sun’s gaze first fell on Yang Jing, his tone laced with approval. ”Yang Jing, as the winner of this Cyan Qilin Battle, you are granted ten days of free access to a Level B Training Room.”

As soon as he said this, not only did Yang Jing’s eyes light up, but even Zhao Chong at his side couldn’t help but glance over, a flicker of envy passing through his eyes.

A Level B Training Room was not a place an ordinary disciple could set foot in.

Even Inner Sect Disciples only had permission to use the Level C Training Rooms.

Elder Sun seemed to have read their minds and added, ”I will have someone notify the Steward Main Hall to register this privilege. All the Training Room stewards in the entire Xuanzhen Sect will be informed. From now on, you can go to any peak’s Level B Training Room to cultivate at any time, without paying any contribution points.”

Here, Elder Sun’s tone shifted as he offered a special reminder. ”However, you must remember this privilege only lasts for ten days. After ten days, if you still wish to cultivate in a Level B Training Room, there are only two paths.

”Either find a way to raise your sect status to meet the standard for freely entering a Level B Training Room—otherwise, even with all the contribution points in the world, you won’t be qualified to enter. Or, you can participate in the next Cyan Qilin Battle and win a top-three spot with your strength again.”

Elder Sun couldn’t help but smile as he spoke, his tone carrying a deeper meaning. ”Of course, by the next Cyan Qilin Battle, those two lads, Gao Yang and Xu Ziqiang, will probably be back. It won’t be so easy for you to take first place again then.”

He was certain that once Yang Jing had experienced the rich aroma of Exotic Beast Musk in the Level B Training Room and felt his cultivation advance at lightning speed, he would never forget such a training environment.

At that point, without anyone needing to say a word, Yang Jing would take the initiative to participate in the Cyan Qilin Battle again, fighting with all his might for a high rank just for those ten days of access to a Level B Training Room.

Yang Jing quickly cupped his fists, his posture reverent. ”Thank you for the reminder, Elder. This disciple understands.”

In his heart, however, he had his own plans. He would not participate in the Cyan Qilin Battle again.

The sect resources he’d received this time were enough to support his push to the Qi Eating Realm in a short period.

Once he broke through, his disciple privileges would naturally rise, and his status within the sect would improve dramatically.

Moreover, Yang Jing couldn’t help but wonder, ’If I break through to the Qi Eating Realm, would I qualify for the Hidden Dragon List? Then I can milk the sect for even more resources.’

He knew that just getting on the Hidden Dragon List would earn him rewards from the sect. The higher the rank, the more abundant the resources, which would be of great benefit to his future cultivation.

Seeing his humble attitude, Elder Sun smiled faintly and glanced to the side.

Immediately, a Main Peak Disciple came over carrying a White Jade Plate. The plate was lined with bright yellow brocade, giving it a very formal appearance.

On the brocade rested three white porcelain bottles, their surfaces smooth and clean, each with a label bearing the name of the elixir inside.

Elder Sun pointed to the leftmost bottle and began to introduce it slowly. ”This bottle contains three Bone Marrow Tempering Pills. This elixir can eliminate the impurities accumulated in a Martial Artist’s bone marrow and consolidate their foundation. It will be of great help in solidifying your progress in the Inner Strength Realm and for your subsequent push into the Qi Eating Realm.”

Next, he pointed to the middle bottle. ”In here are three Qi Storage Pills. If your Inner Strength is severely depleted, taking one can rapidly replenish it. If you use it to aid your cultivation when you are uninjured, a single Qi Storage Pill is equivalent to several days of arduous training.”

Finally, Elder Sun’s finger landed on the third bottle. ”This last bottle contains three Detoxification Pills. This elixir has potent properties and can neutralize hundreds of poisons in the world. You must keep it on your person in case of emergencies.”

After speaking, Elder Sun waved his hand lightly.

The Main Peak Disciple then carried the jade plate and walked slowly to stand before Yang Jing.

Yang Jing looked at the three porcelain bottles on the jade plate, his heart surging with joy and excitement.

Each of these three types of elixirs was extremely important to him.

The Bone Marrow Tempering Pills and Qi Storage Pills would help him break through to the Qi Eating Realm faster, and the Detoxification Pills could save his life at a critical moment.

He quickly extended his hands, carefully cupped the three porcelain bottles, and tucked them securely inside his robes. Only then did he turn, bow deeply to the four Main Peak Elders, and say respectfully, ”Thank you, Elders, for your reward!”

Elder Sun chuckled and nodded, then turned to Zhao Chong to announce his rewards.

As the second-place winner of this Cyan Qilin Battle, Zhao Chong’s reward was significantly less than Yang Jing’s: only five days of access to a Level B Training Room and one bottle of Qi Storage Pills.

Zhao Chong had already expected this and calmly bowed in thanks.

Next, the four Elders offered a few more words of encouragement, telling them to cultivate well after returning and strive to break through to the Qi Eating Realm soon to bring glory to the sect, before finally waving them away.

Yang Jing thanked the Elders and turned to walk toward Steward Zheng and the others.

He had only taken a few steps when Zhao Chong’s voice came from behind him. ”Junior Brother Yang, please wait!”

Yang Jing stopped and turned to look at the approaching Zhao Chong, raising an eyebrow. ”Is there something you need, Senior Brother Zhao?”

A hearty smile on his face, Zhao Chong walked up to him quickly and cupped his fists. ”Junior Brother Yang, we wouldn’t have gotten to know each other if we hadn’t fought. Since we both cultivate in the Xuanzhen Sect as fellow disciples, I hope Junior Brother Yang will guide me in the future.”

Zhao Chong knew clearly that with such strength at such a young age, Yang Jing’s future achievements were bound to be limitless. It was only natural to befriend him as early as possible.

Yang Jing was not an arrogant or conceited person. As the saying goes, one doesn’t hit a smiling face. He immediately cupped his fists in return and said with a smile, ”Senior Brother Zhao, you jest. This junior brother is new here and unfamiliar with many of the sect’s rules and affairs. It is I who should be asking for Senior Brother Zhao’s guidance in the future.”

Seeing that Yang Jing was easy to talk to and showed no arrogance despite winning first place, Zhao Chong felt a wave of relief. He laughed heartily and said, ”That’s simple, of course! If you run into anything you don’t understand in the sect, just come find me at Celestial Derivation Peak. In a few days, I’ll pay a visit to you at Lingxi Peak, Junior Brother Yang!”

The two stood and exchanged a few more pleasantries before cupping their fists in farewell and heading in different directions.

At this moment, Yang Jing’s heart was filled with excitement and urgency.

’With these resources,’ he thought, ’my breakthrough to the Qi Eating Realm is almost within reach!’
