Tycoon: I Have an Unlimited Modifier

The annual meeting didn’t officially begin until Qi Sheng and Tan Hua took their seats at the head table.

For this year’s hosts, Qi Sheng had chosen Zhou Huaiping and Yuan Li.

One was the General Manager of Shengxuan Real Estate.

The other was the General Manager of Zhuangyu Catering.

Their status and positions were more or less equal.

”Next, let’s welcome the Chairman of Shengxuan Group, Mr. Qi Sheng, to the stage for a speech.”

After his opening remarks, Zhou Huaiping led the applause.

The venue erupted in thunderous applause, with every employee, man or woman, clapping enthusiastically.

Qi Sheng smiled and rose to his feet, waving to the employees behind him.

He walked onto the stage with a steady, confident gait.

A white suit is incredibly demanding when it comes to looks and physique.

And Qi Sheng happened to possess top-tier looks, a perfect physique, and the superior height of 187 cm.

Standing next to Qi Sheng, Zhou Huaiping, who was 182 cm tall himself...

...was completely outshone. He couldn’t help but take a few quiet steps back.

”Thank you all for attending this year’s group annual meeting. Although Shengxuan Group has been established for less than a year, I believe that by this time next year, our employee count will exceed ten thousand.”

”Shengxuan Group’s philosophy is to be employee-oriented, product-oriented, and service-oriented. Caring for our employees is a principle that the group’s senior management is determined to uphold and implement.”

”Social insurance and housing funds, an eight-hour workday, two-day weekends, and overtime subsidies—these are all commitments the group dares to make to everyone.”

”In the future, the group will also provide more benefits for its employees, including but not limited to free fruit, snacks, and drinks, as well as subsidies for lunch and dinner.”

”I believe Shengxuan Group has a bright future, and I ask you to believe that Shengxuan Group will provide you with the broadest platform for development.”

As Qi Sheng’s concise speech concluded, the employees below broke into applause once more.

”Thank you for your speech, Chairman Qi. I also believe that Shengxuan Group will only get better and better. Next up is the part everyone has been waiting for—the employee prize drawing.”

Yuan Li walked forward with a smile. ”First up is the third prize, with a total of one hundred winners. In a moment, the names of all seven hundred employees will scroll on the big screen. Chairman Qi will call ’stop’ to randomly select one hundred lucky employees.”

”Does everyone want to know what the third prize is?”

Zhou Huaiping didn’t keep them in suspense and revealed the answer directly.

”The third prize is 100 Huawei Mate 20 Pro phones! It’s the top-spec model with 8+256GB, which retails for 6,799 yuan on the official website.”

The crowd went wild. They never would have expected it.

The third prize at their own company’s annual meeting was a Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

A flagship Huawei phone worth several thousand yuan was truly a luxury item far beyond the reach of many working-class people.

Now, they had the chance to get one for free. How could they not be excited?

When Qi Sheng called out, ”Stop,” the entire venue fell silent.

Everyone stared nervously at the big screen.

Some even pressed their palms together in prayer, hoping they would be one of the lucky ones.

”Congratulations to Yang Lin, Li Qinghai... and our 98 other winners! Please come to the stage in an orderly fashion with your employee badges to claim your prize.”

The employees whose names were called were, naturally, overjoyed.

A flagship Huawei phone worth over six thousand yuan was truly the most expensive prize they had ever received in their working lives.

”Don’t be discouraged if you didn’t win. The second prize is guaranteed to be an even bigger surprise. I’ll announce the number of winners first—there will be 20 in total.”

Seeing many people in the audience looking dejected, Zhou Huaiping smiled and continued, ”As for the prize... it’s a 100-gram gold bar!”

The employees who hadn’t won the third prize instantly looked up, stunned.

Then, several beautiful waitresses from Zifei Restaurant appeared, each holding a tray.

On the trays were gleaming gold bars, which instantly captured everyone’s attention.

”Holy shit, our company is giving out gold bars at the annual meeting?”

Even those loaded tech giants probably only did this much.

Based on the current price of gold, a 100-gram bar had to be worth at least 30,000 yuan!

For many people, that was two or three months’ salary.

”Congratulations to Li Hua, Zhou Ye... Will these 20 employees please come to the stage to receive your prize.”

The employees whose names were called were so excited they wished they could fly onto the stage.

”Congratulations.”

Qi Sheng smiled as he handed out the gold bars, understanding their excitement.

From ancient times to the present day, the Chinese people’s love for gold has never faded.

What’s more, these were gold bars worth tens of thousands of yuan.

If you were to take it on a spree at a high-end club, its value would instantly double in terms of social cachet.

Then you could order two pretty masseuses at once—how sweet would that be?

”Finally, we have the first prize, with a total of 5 winners. The prizes are five medium handbags from Chanel’s CF and 2.55 series. They currently retail for around 50,000 yuan, and you can’t even buy them unless you’re a Chanel VIC.”

Yuan Li joked with Qi Sheng, ”Boss, can’t you just rig it for me? I want a CF bag too.”

Seeing Qi Sheng just shake his head with a smile, Yuan Li didn’t beat around the bush any longer.

The male employees were relatively calm, but the female employees in the audience couldn’t sit still.

Those were Chanel’s two most classic bags.

Even if the boutiques had them in stock, they weren’t qualified to buy them.

Only VICs who spent over a million yuan a year were eligible.

Moreover, the value retention of these two bags was in no way inferior to Hermes; they might even be better.

Their value increased by almost 30% every year.

The price had gone up by about 10,000 yuan since Qi Sheng bought one for Chen Ying.

For luxury brands, if they want good sales performance...

...raising prices is the simplest and most direct method.

People who buy luxury goods are after scarcity, aren’t they?

The more the price increases, the more people chase after it.

Affordable luxury, on the other hand, is in a very awkward position.

Those who can afford it look down on it, and those who desire it can’t afford it.

”AHHH, I’ve been dreaming of getting one of those bags! Please, Buddha, let me win! I’ll be celibate for a year, I swear!”

”Have pity on this poor child! I’ve grown up without ever owning a Chanel! It has to be me!”

”I don’t get why these women love bags so much. Some stupid bag can sell for 50,000? I can’t understand it.”

”Brothers, if I win this bag, you think I’ll have a shot at winning over my dream girl?”

...

Man or woman, who wouldn’t be tempted by a price tag of 50,000 yuan?

After being educated by many of their female colleagues, the male employees also began hoping to win.

Even if they couldn’t use it themselves, they wouldn’t have to worry about finding a buyer if they resold it.

Chanel bags, especially these two classic models...

...were absolute hard currency, not much different from gold.

”Congratulations to Lai Manling, Zhang Yuanni, Wang Yiweng, Yang Guang, and Li Zejun! Please come to the stage to claim your prizes.”

As Yuan Li announced the list of winners...

...several girls in the audience let out uncontrollable screams.

”AHHH, I really won! Thank you, Buddha! I’m definitely going to be celibate for a year!!!”

Lai Manling was cute, barely 160 cm tall, the type of girl who was full of cheerful energy.

Having just joined Tiansheng Capital, her luck was off the charts, and she won a first prize right away.

”That young lady is so cute!”

Qi Sheng had already stepped down from the stage by this point, and he heard his girlfriend whisper laughingly in his ear.

”Huh?”

Qi Sheng was stunned for a moment. He hadn’t expected this Lai Manling to be a top-tier beauty with a score as high as 90.

Even though it was only a 90, that was still considered top-tier beauty level.

According to the system’s reward plan...

...Lai Manling could bring him a terrifying annual income of 60 million.

’Holy cow, who hired her?’

’Such a talented individual with so much potential, and no one thought to notify me, the boss, in advance.’

On the stage, Lai Manling wore her hair in a bun.

She flashed a cute peace sign at the photographer below.

She was wearing a pure white, form-fitting T-shirt and a knee-length, yellow-and-white plaid pleated skirt.

She looked just like a high school girl who had just stepped off campus.

Against the backdrop of this sweet and lively girlish aura...

...the swell of her chest beneath the pure white T-shirt and her slender waist, so slim it looked like you could wrap your hands around it...

...made her both pure and alluring.

”Hmph, you’re still looking.”

Tan Hua was used to her boyfriend’s philandering ways.

’But couldn’t he at least pay a little attention to his image? That young lady probably just graduated, and my boyfriend is already eyeing her. It’s probably just a matter of time before she becomes one of my ’sisters’.’

”Ahem. This young lady is not bad. She’s worth cultivating carefully.”

Qi Sheng coughed lightly. He wasn’t in a hurry to devour Lai Manling.

’She’s joined my company. Does she really think she can get away?’
