In the dark void.

The massive gray millstone and the six-colored flame black disc floated quietly, slowly rotating as they repeatedly collided. It looked like two gigantic gears, one reversing and one spinning forward, grinding against each other.

The one reversing was the Life and Death Millstone, while the one spinning forward was the Six-Colored Flame Black Disc.

As the two slowly rotated and collided, even the dark void around them seemed as though it was about to collapse and tear apart completely. This was truly a level capable of destroying heaven and earth.

Buzz buzz buzz~

Crack crack crack~

Terrifying annihilation energy rapidly spread out, constantly dissolving and breaking apart everything around it before silently turning into pure nothingness. It was true nothingness. At the point of collision, nothing existed.

Even space itself could not recover or mend. It looked as if even the membrane of the world had been torn open, leaving behind an irreparable wound. Of course, that was just an illusion — an exaggerated metaphor.

With the current strength of Wei Yang and Xiao Yan, they were still far from being able to tear apart the world’s membrane. However, the terrifying wave of annihilation spreading out carried an aura of complete emptiness.

If a person were dragged into that collision, not even their soul would survive.

They would be wiped out instantly. In a sense, this was true destruction. Though it carried a trace of reincarnation’s aura, it probably wouldn’t give anyone the chance to reincarnate.

”So this is the power of a Dou Sheng?” Feng Zun Zhe muttered, finally witnessing something beyond his imagination.

”A normal peak One-Star Dou Sheng isn’t this strong,” Yao Lao lightly shook his head, though he didn’t bother explaining more.

After all, to Feng Zun Zhe and the others, once someone reached Dou Sheng, strength differences no longer mattered. A single move from them would still be enough to kill without suspense.

”Senior brother, from here on, I’m going all out.”

Xiao Yan raised his hands, pressing toward the Six-Colored Flame Black Disc, ”Rotate!”

Buzz buzz buzz~

The massive black disc suddenly accelerated, spinning wildly at an insane speed.

Seeing this, Wei Yang nodded, ”Alright, then I’ll use a little more strength too. Be careful.”

Buzz buzz buzz~

The gray millstone’s rotation also visibly accelerated, quickly matching the black disc. Sparks and friction screeched through the void as the two massive forces collided with even greater intensity.

The terrifying aura spreading outward grew even more overwhelming.

”They weren’t using full strength before?!” Feng Zun Zhe stared in disbelief.

”...”

Yao Lao’s eyelids twitched slightly as he stroked his beard without saying a word. Xian’er and the others exchanged stunned looks. Only the three little ones watched cluelessly with wide sparkling eyes, simply thinking it looked impressive.

Whoosh~

The Six-Colored Flame Black Disc suddenly trembled and released a massive black beam of light. It shot forward silently, piercing through the void and fusing into space before surrounding Wei Yang completely.

”Hm?”

Covered by the black beam, Wei Yang raised an eyebrow. To his surprise, the Dou Qi protecting his body was being slowly disintegrated under the black light.

”Not bad,” Wei Yang praised lightly and then moved his thoughts.

Boom~

Crackle~

Black flames and thunder spread across his body. But then, his expression grew even more surprised. Even the black flames and lightning were rapidly dissolving into nothingness when touched by that black light.

”This power... it’s domineering and very strange. Almost like nothing can withstand it. Is this the power of destruction? Or Reincarnation Power? No... it’s more like both force types fused into one.”

Wei Yang calmly observed and analyzed the force.

Only because his Dou Qi foundation was deep and his body was terrifyingly strong could he afford to do this so casually. If it were an ordinary One-Star Dou Sheng, they wouldn’t be able to remain this relaxed.

They could withstand it, but only barely — and only for a short period. At this rate of forced disintegration, if someone trapped in the black beam couldn’t break free quickly, they would soon be completely erased.

Body and soul — both dissolved into nothingness. This alone proved how terrifying this power truly was. A moment later, after thoroughly understanding this strange power.

Wei Yang moved his thoughts, and a layer of gray airflow surfaced over his body, finally allowing him to resist the corrosive disintegration of the force. With the gray airflow protecting him, he instantly felt much lighter.

His Dou Qi was no longer being rapidly consumed. Then he waved his hand.

Buzz~

A gray vortex trembled and released a massive gray beam of light, directly blocking the black beam.

The two beams collided in mid-air, resisting each other without yielding. But gradually, the gray beam began to overpower the black one, slowly pushing it backward.

Seeing this, Xiao Yan narrowed his eyes and increased the output of his Dou Qi, forcing the Six-Colored Flame Black Disc to rotate even faster. The power of the black beam also intensified.

However, even with that adjustment, he was only able to relieve a portion of the pressure. He still couldn’t stop the gray beam’s advance entirely. The black beam continued to retreat inch by inch.

Before long, when it was nearly pushed back all the way to the Six-Colored Flame Black Disc, Wei Yang relaxed slightly and said, ”That’s enough. Let’s stop at the same time.”

”Alright.” Xiao Yan nodded.

The outcome was already clear. Continuing any further meant nothing.

The two simultaneously lifted their hands, retrieving the gray millstone and the Six-Colored Flame Black Disc at the same time. The dark void gradually returned to calm. The collapsed space began repairing itself rapidly.

Xiao Yan stepped forward and walked to Wei Yang, smiling as he asked, ”Senior brother, how was the power of that technique?”

”Very good,” Wei Yang nodded. ”A strange and domineering power. It has a terrifying disintegration effect, as if it could break down anything in existence into pure nothingness.”

”Unfortunately, compared to the Life and Death Power you’ve mastered, it’s still lacking,” Xiao Yan replied with a helpless smile.

”You’re wrong,” Wei Yang shook his head, ”There’s no absolute superiority or inferiority between these two forces. The only reason you’re weaker than me at the same realm is because I’ve grasped the Life and Death Power longer and at a deeper level. That’s why you’re on the losing side.”

He wasn’t boasting — it was the truth.

Life and Death Power, and Xiao Yan’s force, which could be called Reincarnation Power for now. Life and Death Power annihilates. Reincarnation Power disintegrates.

Both forces can erase an opponent on a physical level — body and soul — turning them into nothingness. So in essence, neither force is truly stronger or weaker. They simply function differently.

What determines strength is the user. Since Wei Yang had come into contact with the Life and Death Power sooner and comprehended it more deeply, he naturally walked further along its path.

That did not mean the Reincarnation Power was inferior. In fact, a force capable of breaking all things into nothingness was terrifying in its own right.

Xiao Yan had found and mastered a high-tier power — Reincarnation Power.

”So what makes you fall behind is not the power itself,” Wei Yang concluded, ”It’s your comprehension — the depth of understanding and mastery.”

”I see.” Xiao Yan nodded thoughtfully.

”Wei Yang is right,” Yao Lao said as he and the others walked over, ”Xiao Yan, you were thinking too narrowly just now. In this world, there is no inherently weak power. Only weak users.”

”I understand.” Xiao Yan nodded again, realizing he had overthought it earlier.

Yes — strictly speaking, power is simply power. It has no inherent strengths or weaknesses. The only weak element is the one using it. If you are weak, it simply means your understanding, comprehension, and mastery of your power are lacking.

Is water weak? Yet a great flood can still destroy the world.

Is fire weak? Look at the blazing sun above, the countless Heavenly Flames in the world, and the final Dou Di — Tuo She Ancient God.

Likewise, wood, earth, wind, lightning, light, darkness — none of these powers are weak. Any type of power, when pushed to its absolute peak, becomes one of the strongest forces in existence.

So weakness lies only in the wielder, not the power. Of course, differences in attributes mean their focus, characteristics, and effects will vary.
