Reborn as an A-Rank Guide: Trapped By The Crazy Sentinels

The concentration of Guide pheromones in the room remained suffocatingly thick. To an ordinary Sentinel, such an intoxicating scent was no different than a potent aphrodisiac—an urge impossible to resist or control.

Yet Alion remained completely unbothered. His sculpted face was a mask of absolute calm, sitting there like an ornate sculpture—composed, restrained, and detached.

“You have entered your heat cycle.”

Alion cut straight to the point, treating it as a topic entirely unworthy of awkward hesitation.

Bunny offered a quiet nod, huddling beneath the heavy quilt. Her dark, moss-tinted hair cascaded down like a waterfall, exposing only a small slice of her smooth, pale shoulder, while a delicate rosy flush lingered on her cheeks.

“Do you have bound Sentinels?”

His inquiry carried the precise distance and boundaries expected of a superior addressing a subordinate. Bunny hesitated for a brief second:

“Um… yes.”

Alion instantly caught the subtle flicker of uncertainty in her voice. A man accustomed to high command possessed an acute eye for reading human hearts.

She had yet to engage in deep physical contact with those Sentinels.

This woman seemed utterly incapable of disguising her emotions. By now, she had been stationed at District 616 for over a month.

Those mad dogs might be volatile, but they were nevertheless elite genetic stock and reasonably good-looking. How had she not taken a liking to a single one of them?

Guides were notoriously fickle, usually claiming any Sentinel they fancied the moment an opportunity arose due to the sheer abundance of choices.

What an odd woman. Did she not understand that only once a Sentinel was bound through physical union would he transform into a truly obedient and loyal hound?

Alion tapped his fingertips lightly against his knee. “Then… should I call them over for you?”

He was testing her.

Bunny shook her head frantically. Her fragile frame could never survive being railed by those bear-like Sentinels right now!

“Yet you are clearly in immense agony.”

Another wave of intense heat flared up inside Bunny. She gritted her teeth, straining to hold her ground.

“I… I can endure it.”

Yet Alion had already caught the thick, honeyed scent drifting through the air.

Delightfully provocative.

A subtle, entertaining spark seemed to dance across his cold, sharp face. He suddenly found himself intrigued, curious to see just how long this woman could maintain her front.

“When God created Adam and Eve, He did not endow them with a concept of sex.”

“Yet God secretly planted the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden anyway.”

Bunny wrestled agonizingly with her body’s unnatural reactions. She desperately wanted to throw off the heavy quilt and bolt into the bathroom for an ice-cold shower, rather than sit here listening to him spout philosophical nonsense!

“Regardless of who takes the first bite, it no longer matters.”

Alion suddenly leaned downward, gently brushing away the damp strands of hair clinging to Bunny’s cheek. Deep within his glacier-blue eyes lay only absolute rationality and cold composure, entirely devoid of lust or passion.

“Once desire breaches its banks, it acts like a raging flood, shattering every shred of reason and restraint in its path.”

“Guide Bunny…”

His gaze drifted downward, lingering on her crimson lips, her ragged, labored breaths, and the delicate trembling of her shoulders.

An aura of danger pressed in—the distinct alarm triggered when a stranger invades a predator’s territory.

Strands of his silver hair spilled onto the bedsheets, his sharp features looking impossibly handsome under the soft lighting.

Under Bunny’s bewildered, defensive stare, Alion slowly peeled off his black leather gloves, exposing long, sculpted hands. His pale, bony knuckles resembled porcelain—a masterwork of pure artistry.

He offered Bunny a mesmerizing, deceptively gentle smile, like a devil softly whispering temptation:

“Would you like me to help you?”

He curled his fingers into a subtle ‘C’ shape, demonstrating a blatantly suggestive gesture.

“We don’t need to sleep together. There are plenty of ways to bring you to release.”

Bunny’s eyes widened in shock. “I don’t need your help!”

Alion observed her with calm amusement. “Is that so?”

Struggling to hold onto her lingering sanity, Bunny forced out a voice laced with suppressed anger.

“If you only came here to check whether I was alive, you can leave right now.”

Alion simply leaned back into his chair, looking as though he had zero intention of departing.

He had encountered plenty of stubborn people in his life, but never a woman whose tongue remained this sharp while locked in the throes of a heat cycle.

Alion had witnessed numerous Guides in heat before—they were usually no different than wild, ravenous beasts.

“Guide Bunny, running away will not cure your pain.”

His voice dropped into a low, quiet murmur, carrying a subtle, raspy edge of taunting amusement/

“Or perhaps… You prefer self-satisfaction?”

Bunny’s face, already flushed beet-red, exploded like a ripe tomato the moment those words left his mouth.

“I prefer that you go satisfy yourself instead!”

And to think she had actually pegged this Alion as a rare, upright gentleman and a decent person! Turns out he was just another dirty-minded pervert under that slick uniform!

She would never, under any circumstances, get intimate with a complete stranger!

“I’m giving you three seconds to get the hell out of here. Or I swear I’m gonna scream for help!”

Facing the Guide’s explicit threat, Alion remained entirely unfazed.

“I am the supreme commander of this warship. Miss Guide, who exactly do you plan on calling?”

You shameless, arrogant, low-life, hypocritical bastard!

Another unbearable tremor racked her frame, forcing Bunny to bite her lower lip until it bled:

“So, the mighty supreme commander abuses his authority and uses his position for personal amusement—staying in a Guide’s room during her heat cycle just to derive sick pleasure from watching her suffer?”

Still putting up a front.

Alion couldn’t comprehend it. Has this woman undergone anti-addiction training or something?

He was sitting right in front of her, and his Sentinel pheromones even possessed hallucinogenic properties. How on earth was she managing to endure it up to this point?

Taking just a single step toward him was all it would take to grant her absolute relief.

A subtle curl touched the corner of Alion’s lips. “Naturally, beautiful things are meant to be appreciated. Besides, I quite enjoy seeing you like this…”

He rested his chin on his knuckles. “…looking so ravished, yet so insatiably desperate.”
