Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Mansion

I rushed to the side of the Zero Puppet. My gaze fell on the piece of cloth; the Zero Puppet was not lying. There was something inscribed on it.

I picked the cloth from the puppet and held it in my hand.

“System, what is it?” I asked.

[Ding! Spell model detected.]

[Ding! The magic spell is suitable for the host to learn.]

The system’s voice echoed in my mind. Hearing that, my heart stirred. Suitable for me? What could it be? My eyes flashed with excitement.

“System, can you decipher it?” I asked, because I could not recognize the characters on the cloth.

[Ding! Spell model is deciphered.]

[Ding! Spell model name: Gravity Surge]

[Gravity Surge: This spell releases a sudden surge of gravity spikes. The gravity spikes destabilize everything within a 100-meter range.]

As the system’s voice sounded in my mind, my heart rose with excitement. I had long wanted to find a magic spell like this.

Gravity magic spells were hard to come across, and I didn’t expect to find one this quickly. What’s more, it was found among the looted items. I told the Zero Puppet to organize the other items, then I went to my room.

I instructed the system to learn the spell model. In a flash, I felt something change in my mind. A new spell model was added, and a second later, the information about it appeared.

I started to digest the information, beginning to understand the spell. Unlike other magic spells, this attack releases maximum gravitational pressure from the get-go.

While other magic attacks get stronger over time, the power of the gravitational force increases as the seconds pass; this one hits with full force immediately.

I couldn’t help but feel excited. This is a group-attack spell model. This magic spell is going to be my trump card.

Then, I summoned the status panel.

The status panel appeared in front of my eyes. My gaze fell on the stats, and I started going through them.

My stats had improved compared to before. The new spell model was added to the list. Now, I have 11 spell models in my arsenal.

However, the system allows for 19 more. I didn’t know when I would get to learn those other magic spell models, but I calmed my heart.

I would find them soon enough. For now, this new attack was enough.

I dismissed the status panel and went to bed to rest.

The Next Morning

I woke up and performed my usual morning routine. Then, I sat down to practice my mental method.

A few hours later, I went to the hall. The Zero Puppet was still active; it still had super-grade mana stones left in its pouch.

“Master,” Zero Puppet greeted me.

I nodded to the puppet before looking at the boxes. Zero had placed the items back in the storage boxes.

“You did a good job,” I praised the puppet. Then, I thought of something and looked toward it. “Zero, can you check whether these are stolen goods or not?”

I explained the situation at the shop.

“Master, it’s hard to tell whether the goods are stolen or not. However, I can compare them with customers’ statements,” the Zero Puppet replied.

“Good,” I uttered. “I’ll bring you outside later.”

After saying that, I took out my face mask and put it on. Then I appeared back in the room, left, and went to see the others.

The members were ready for the shop opening. I went outside the house and saw customers standing in line.

A quick gleam flashed in my eyes. I didn’t know whether anyone from the Green Elemental Tower had come. After taking a glance at the crowd, I went inside.

I saw Patrick, Otto, Hank, and old man Rock.

“If you make a deal, bring the item to me for the final inspection. If I’m not present, place the item on my desk and I’ll inspect it later,” I told them.

Everyone understood. They had discussed the treasures from the robbery last night; the last thing they wanted was to be framed.

Time Passed

I was seated inside the office. I brought the Zero Puppet outside.

The members had seen the puppet before, but they didn’t have the full story. I gave an extra storage pouch to the puppet and ordered it to watch over the gallery room.

Otto can identify bad people by overhearing their conversations, but if people choose not to talk, he is helpless.

The Zero Puppet is different. It was built for collecting intelligence. I had used its help to gather intel back in one of the super-large nations.

The Zero Puppet was the perfect choice. It is difficult for me to be present here all day.
