Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

From MC’s Perspective:

The following day,

After getting ready, I left the dorm building and hurriedly stride towards the Floating building. I have a feeling that today will be busy.

“Elder Paul told me about that council elders meeting yesterday. I wonder whether it’s going to be today or not,” I thought.

A few minutes later,

I arrived at the entrance of the Floating Building. After scanning my ID, I walked inside. The place appears serene and calm. I immediately thought of Dimitry.

Thinking about him I couldn’t help but shake my head in disappointment. He succeeded in dragging me into a trap yesterday. If not for Elder Paul Lin’s arrival, things could have gone worse.

But after having that conversation with him last night. My heart is at peace. Soon, I arrived at the lecture hall. I walked inside. I spotted only a few of them.

As usual, my appearance has caused them to look towards me. I gently nodded to them as I walked towards the last row of seats.

“Hey, he is doing fine lately. Looks like the other departments have forgotten about him.”

“Yeah, I heard that as well. Not even the bloodline beast department wizards are troubling him.”

“I wonder what he did to convince them. “

The classmates started discussing in a low tone. But they don’t know that Vincent Carey can listen to their words.

After sitting on the chair, I closed my eyes. But I could hear the conversations. My mouth twitches. I’m even getting confused by the Bloodline Beast Department’s response.

Especially after smacking those 2 idiots, I thought that revenge would be crazy. But to my surprise, they have stopped bothering me. Instead, the Beast Tamers appeared as a new headache.

10 minutes later,

The Puppet Study lecture begins. I saw no sign of Dimitry. I wonder whether he was able to recover fully. Then I started paying attention to the lecture.

Meanwhile, a couple of minutes earlier before the council elders meeting.

The Council Elders Milo and Aaron met each other.

“Are you serious?” Aaron asked, with a hint of doubt in his eyes.

“It’s true that brat had used magic spells against our department wizards. Fortunately, one of the Department elders was there to calm things down,” Milo replied with a confident tone.

Deep down, he knows that it could be a lie. The Beast Tamers were the ones who went after Vincent Carey. This involves the Clonius Family. So he won’t tell outsiders about it.

Especially someone to the Perry Family Member.

Aaron Perry sneered inwardly. He was well aware that the Beast Taming Department had a large number of wizards from the Aristocratic Families.

As far as he knows, the Clonius Family was involved as well. But he won’t go deep into it. It does not serve his interest.

“Alright, I will support you in the meeting. But you have to convince others as well,” Aaron said to him. It’s not easy to convince others without evidence. So they can only use their influence.

“Thank you, elder. Aaron. With your support, I don’t think that people on the side of the Head of the Organisation would succeed,” Milo said with a small laugh.

…

Verdant City:

“Argh?” A middle-aged man let out a cry as his mana core was sucked by the mouth of a parasitic organ.

“Tell me everything if you don’t want to experience this pain again,” the old man, the Transmutation Wizard, asked.

He has found someone suspicious lurking around the Main Market from time to time. So then he caught him to interrogate.

The Middle-aged man nodded fiercely. The pain is making him go insane.

Seeing that old man stopped sucking the mana of the main core. The Middle-aged man’s face was drained with blood. He has lost his energy. The physique looks weaker.

“I’m just working for someone else. He is a member of a True Elements Society. He gave me some errands to run. Especially to the Main Market, “He then started to tell.

The old man’s face changes drastically before he uses his parasitic organs to eat the mana core.

“Argh!”

The middle-aged man let out another cry before dying slowly.

“I thought he was a big fish. But he turned out to be a rat,” The old man sneered.

Then he realized the people of the True Elements Society might have gotten an idea about him. That’s why they are afraid of confrontation.

It’s the same everywhere, more than dark wizards. People are afraid of Transmutation Wizards.

“Even if you found out about me, so what? I’m not going to leave until I find something concrete,” the old man said to himself.

…

Meeting Hall:

The Council Elders appeared one after another. None of them were happy about it. Because of the topic of the meeting their blood boils.

The council elders meeting is not the place for sorting out the troubles between the 2 Magic Departments. Even if someone commits a crime, then they will be taken care of by the Department of Rules and Order.

But these elders can only keep their opinions in their hearts. They can’t speak against the 3 Major Departments in the Organisation. Especially they got Powerful Palace Masters behind them.

As time passes, more and more people appear. Milo and Aaron appeared as well. These 2 people’s appearance caused quite a surprise. They couldn’t help but smell some conspiracy. They each sat in their seats without much noise.

Shortly afterwards,

Elder Stella appeared. Upon seeing Elder Aaron and Milo, she smiled. She greeted everyone before sitting on her seat.

Aaron’s eyes flickered. Elder Stella’s smile made him uncomfortable. There has been no bad blood between them. Because Elder Stella belongs to a neutral faction.

Milo noticed his expression as well. After glancing at Stella, he thought, “Why do I feel she is expecting some drama?”

Right at the moment, one more elder made his appearance after a long time. The person is none other than Elder Paul.

Seeing him everyone was taken back by surprise.

“What is he doing here?”

“I heard he hates this kind of meeting. So why come now?”

“Maybe another elder has some other work to do”

“That’s possible”

“Anyway don’t go against him. This person has a Palace Master behind him.”

The Council Elders from other departments discussed in a low tone.

Milo’s expression turned ugly. Because he had heard the whole story from Elder Jordan. “There is a possibility that he might have witnessed the whole thing,” he thought.

So he is going to face some trouble in this meeting.

Aaron frowned as well. He heard that this Elder was helping that new kid a lot.

Stella revealed a gentle smile as usual. No one can guess what’s on her mind.

Paul Lin nodded at her before taking seat.

When everyone was seated. The Council Elder from the Rule and Order Department raised the question.

“Elder Milo, could you explain your accusation against Vincent Carey, a fresher member of the Special Mage Department.”

The old man with a long white beard asked.

“Elder Alec, two Special Mage Department Members have attacked our students by casting magic spells. In response, our Beast Taming Departmen’s Wizards summoned their partner to protect them.”

“If not for Department Elder Jordan’s timely arrival, things could have gotten worse,” Milo said with anger, with an expression on his face seeking justice.

Aaron showed a serious expression as well.

The council elders revealed a complicated expression. It’s a matter related to the Rule and Order Department. They can find out the truth. There is no need for this meeting.

The old man, Alec, raised his eyebrows and said, “You could have informed us. Yesterday, Elder Paul from the Special Mage Department filed a complaint against the Special Mage Department.”

“According to the rules, I should listen to his request first. You didn’t have to call for this meeting. Unless you don’t trust the Rule and Order Department,” he added.

“This idiot,” Aaron said in his heart.

Milo dumbfounded. I didn’t expect a direct rebuttal from the old man Alec. He then turned towards Elder Paul Lin. His eyes flash with anger.

“Elder Paul Lin, this is the reason why I have called for this meeting. I know you have connections in the Rule and Order Department. So I don’t trust anyone.”

“If I don’t get justice here today, then I’ll tell the Palace Masters of our Department,” Milo said.

“Palace Masters!”

The council elders sucked a cold breath of air. The mere mention of “Palace Masters ” has raised the tension in the meeting.

The old man Alec’s eyes flash with a cold glint. He is well aware that it’s a game of the Aristocratic Faction. Yet he didn’t expect someone to throw an allegation against his department.

“Elder Milo, do you think we are dumb?”

“It’s not that your department has the support of the Palace Masters. We have Palace Masters as well,” Old man Alec said.

Hearing that the neutral elders and the elders on the Head of the organization’s side agreed with the statement.

“This idiot, did he come prepared?” Aaron thought.
