Dark League HQ:

Inside the black rock tower, the old man shrouded in shadows is anxiously waiting for the news. He has been watching the Wizard Heart Competition.

When Vincent Carey appeared. He thought the dark lord would take action at that time. But to his surprise nothing had happened at that time.

Later, he thought the dark lord would take action today. But Vincent Carey had got the free pass to the next stage. So he was not present there today.

“I hope the dark lord man will take action tomorrow,” the old man shrouded in shadows said to himself.

He knows that the dark lord didn’t have much time. If he takes action sooner it will be better. The other hand, he is also getting pressured by the Supreme Wizard of the Meteor Country.

Thinking about him, a helpless smile appeared on his face. He didn’t expect the Supreme Wizard of the Meteor Country to pay attention to the Wizard Heart Competition.

Which is truly unbelievable to him. He had a conversation with him a couple of hours ago. From the talking tone of the Supreme Wizard earlier.

He can tell that the Supreme Wizard is getting impatient as well. He doesn’t know if there is any reason behind the Wizard Heart Competition, which he didn’t know.

SIGH!

After sighing, he decided to observe the competition tomorrow as well.

…

From MC’s Perspective:

I’m in the control room and watching the outside view through the control mirror. On the top floor, there is nothing but an open terrace.

I’m waiting to see whether they are going to appear or not.

An hour later,

A group of black shadows appeared on the top floor one by one. Their movements were so fast that it took me a second to realize that they were the killers.

“They have come,” a hint of apprehension appeared in my eyes.

Outside,

“What is happening?”

“He is not hiding on the top floor. So where has he gone?” A killer asked.

“Did that kid find us earlier?” another killer asked.

“It’s impossible. How come a level-5 Wizard can know our place? It must be something else.”

“Maybe someone from his academy picked him up. It’s quite possible that they don’t want to leave him alone. Especially after today’s incident,” a experienced veteran commented.

Only the experienced veteran’s words make sense to everyone.

Hearing that everyone agreed on his words. Since high ranking level-8 Wizards can’t find them. Then there was only one possibility that someone from the academy had picked up the kid.

“Let’s go!”

“We had wasted our time again. Next time, if we find that target, we don’t need to hold back. Let’s attack him on the spot,” The veteran killer said with a dissatisfied tone.

Not only him, others are quite disappointed as well. They don’t like the feeling of getting played by a level-5 Wizard.

“I can’t wait to squash that level-5 bug,” One of the killers uttered frustrated words.

Meanwhile,

I’m listening to their conversations clearly. Hearing some of their words. A cold shiver went down my spine.

“Fortunately, I didn’t make any impulsive move to fight against them,” I said to myself.

As I guessed before, they didn’t use their rule power earlier. If they had used the rule power, then destruction would have been many fold.

I don’t think even Elder Galvin would have survived their Rule based spell attacks.

Phew!

A heaved sigh of relief. I really hate this helplessness. I don’t know whether they are from the dark league or not. freёwebnoѵel.com

Because the Dark League hadn’t sent this many killers after me. Especially inside the Capital city, they were afraid to take action.

To think these killers dared to attack openly earlier this day. And after doing that they didn’t even escape from here.

“I feel something is wrong with the Capital’s security arrangements. How come they are not aware of these killers lurking here,” I said in my heart.

Then I saw the killers discussing something among themselves before disappearing from the spot.

Seeing that I wiped out the cold sweat from my forehead. Then I sat on the chair and thought about my next move.

“I’m pretty sure they won’t leave the hotel just like that. At Least they will arrange someone to monitor this place,” I muttered to myself.

If I can’t leave here, then I can only ask for help from the dean. I think he will send someone to pick me up.

After thinking about it carefully, I decided to spend the rest of the night here. There is no urgency to go back to the arena building. I can go there right before the duel.

The following day,

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I woke up earlier. After getting out of the bed. I started doing my morning routine.

30 minutes later,

I walked into the middle of the hall and sat down cross legged on the ground. Then I started to run a gravity ark mental method.

Right after, I started to absorb the Gravity mana particles from the surroundings. When the gravity mana entered my body.

I started to circulate mana according to the mental method. Then the gravity mana particles flow through my veins.

After circulation, the gravity mana entered the mana core space. Inside the mana core, the pebble size mana absorbs the incoming mana.

Seeing that I continued to repeat the process.

Outside,

Not all of the killers left the Bright Hotel last night. Some of them stayed behind to monitor the place.

As the time is getting closer to the 3rd day of the competition. People have already started leaving the hotel and walking towards the arena building.

The killers present there started to observe each and everyone. Like they had discussed last night. If the target appears right now, then they won’t hesitate to use Rule Power Spell Attack.

Which would erase the target along with others who stood close to him.

As the time passes, most of the people have left the hotel. But still there is no sign of Vincent Carey. The Killers looked at each other before informing the news to others.
