---

Alaric and Kassandra had returned inside the cavern after their meal outside, the sea bass that Alaric caught was now reduced to bones on a makeshift plate.

The day had been easy, comfortable, but the undercurrent of their bet pulsed between them like a living thing.

Alaric laid down on his stomach on top of the mattress, a thin towel draped over his hips, the rest of his body was bare to the cool cavern air.

He propped his head on one arm, staring at the wall, a smirk tugging at his lips as his mind wandered.

’Is she really gonna give me a sensual massage? Damn...’ The thought alone sent a jolt through him, half amusement, half anticipation. He’d won the bet fair and square... well, mostly fair, thanks to a little Sharingan trickery... but he hadn’t expected her to take it this far.

Kassandra was a warrior, a legend, not some tavern wench playing at seduction. Yet here he was, waiting, his pulse kicking up a notch.

’Though, I’m to blame... I’m too handsome heh...’

The soft scuff of footsteps broke his thoughts. He glanced over his shoulder to see Kassandra approaching, her tunic hugging her frame in a way that made his throat dry. She carried herself with that same unshakable confidence, but there was something else in her eyes... a flicker of intent that made his smirk falter.

”Ready to pay up, misthios?” he drawled, keeping his tone light despite the heat creeping up his neck.

Kassandra arched an eyebrow, kneeling beside the mattress. ”A bet’s a bet, Kenway. Don’t get cocky.”

He chuckled, settling his head back down. ”Wouldn’t dream of it.”

Her hands found his back, warm and sure, pressing into the knots along his shoulders. Alaric let out a slow breath, relaxing into her touch. She was good... damn good... her delicate fingers working with precision.

For a while, it was just a massage, firm and thorough, easing the tension from his overpowered frame. But then her hands drifted lower, thumbs digging into the dip above his hips, and Alaric’s calm shattered.

Her fingers skimmed the edge of the towel, brushing the sensitive skin just above his thighs, and a low groan slipped out before he could stop it.

She didn’t pull back. Instead, her touch lingered, teasing, her fingertips dancing closer to where the towel barely covered him... close, but never quite touching where he was starting to ache.

’She’s doing this on purpose,’ he thought as his pulse was hammering. The air felt thicker, charged, and he shifted slightly, trying to hide how much she was getting to him. His breathing hitched, and he knew she’d noticed.

Kassandra’s hands paused, and her voice cut through the silence, low and steady. ”Turn around.”

Alaric froze, his brain scrambling. ”W-What?”

”Turn around,” she repeated, a hint of a smirk in her tone. ”I’m not done.”

”N-No, you don’t need to...” he stammered, heat flooding his face. This was more than he’d bargained for, and the idea of facing her like this... exposed... made his laid-back facade crack.

Kassandra leaned closer, her breath brushing his ear. ”No, a bet’s a bet. You won, Alaric. I’m honoring it.”

He swallowed hard, caught between wanting to argue and wanting to see where this went. She wasn’t backing down, and that stubborn pride of hers... the same pride that had kept her alive for two millennia... wasn’t giving him an out.

With a muttered curse, he shifted, rolling onto his back, one hand clutching the towel to keep it in place.

It didn’t help. The towel couldn’t hide the towering evidence of his arousal, standing up like a damn column beneath the thin fabric.

Alaric avoided her gaze, his face burning, but he heard the slight catch in her breath. When he finally risked a glance, Kassandra’s eyes were locked on him, wide for a split second before she schooled her expression. A faint flush crept up her neck, but she didn’t flinch.

”Impressive,” she said dryly, though her voice was huskier than usual.

”Shut up,” he grumbled, half-laughing despite himself.

She, however, didn’t laugh. Instead, she shifted closer, her hands settling on his chest, kneading the muscles there with the same deliberate care. But it was different now... her fingers trailed lower, tracing the lines of his abdomen, dipping toward the towel’s edge.

She stopped just shy of touching him, her thumbs pressing into the skin above his hips, and Alaric’s control slipped another notch. His breath came faster, his body tensing under her hands.

”Kassandra...” he rasped, as his tone carried a plea and a warning.

She met his gaze, her eyes dark and unreadable. ”What? Too much for you?”

He smirked, shaky but defiant. ”You’re the one who’s gonna break first.”

Her lips twitched, and then her hand moved slowly and deliberately, brushing the towel aside just enough to graze the base of his erection. Alaric’s hips jerked, a sharp curse escaping him as heat surged through his veins. She didn’t pull away, her fingers lingering, teasing, and he was done playing coy.

”Fuck it,” he growled, sitting up in one fluid motion and yanking her toward him. Their mouths crashed together, rough and hungry, all the tension exploding in that single kiss. Kassandra didn’t hesitate, her hands sliding up his chest, nails scraping lightly as she kissed him back with equal fire.

The towel hit the floor, forgotten, as she straddled his hips, her tunic riding up to reveal the strong lines of her thighs. Alaric’s hands gripped her waist, pulling her flush against him, and she gasped into his mouth as his hardness pressed against her. For a moment, they just stared at each other, breathing hard, the line between them irrevocably crossed.

”You’re a bastard,” she muttered, but her hands were already tugging at his hair, pulling him closer.

”And you’re a tease,” he shot back, nipping her lower lip.

She smirked, then rocked her hips, grinding against him, and Alaric’s head tipped back with a groan. ”Goddamn, Kassandra...”

”Shut up and fuck me,” she said, blunt and commanding, and that was all the invitation he needed.

He flipped her onto her back in one smooth move, pinning her beneath his larger frame. She arched up, meeting him halfway as he shoved her tunic up and out of the way. His hands roamed her body... strong, scarred, perfect... learning every curve, every spot that made her breath catch.

She wasn’t passive, either; her legs hooked around his waist, pulling him closer, her nails digging into his shoulders.

When he finally pushed into her, slow and deep, they both groaned, the sound echoing off the cavern walls. She was so fucking tight, hot, and so damn responsive, her hips rolling to meet his first thrust.

Alaric set a rhythm, steady but relentless, each movement driving them higher. Kassandra matched him, her strength pushing back just enough to keep it a dance, not a conquest.

”Harder,” she growled, her voice rough with need, and he obliged, slamming into her with a force that made her cry out. Her hands clutched at him, urging him on, and the mattress moved beneath them as the pace turned frantic.

Sweat slicked their skin, and the air was thick with the sounds of their breathing, their curses, their moans.

Alaric felt her tightening around him, her body trembling on the edge, and he leaned down, biting the curve of her neck as he thrust deeper.

”Alaric...!” she gasped, her voice breaking, and then she was gone, clenching around him as she came, her whole body shuddering.

The sight of Kassandra, the unshakeable misthios, unraveling beneath him, pushed him over the edge. He followed her with a choked groan, spilling into her, his vision blurring as pleasure crashed through him.

They collapsed together, a tangle of limbs and ragged breaths, the cavern’s hum the only sound beyond their panting. Alaric rolled onto his back, pulling her half on top of him, and for a while, they just lay there, letting the aftershocks fade.

”Worth the bet?” he asked finally, his voice hoarse but smug.

Kassandra huffed a laugh, resting her head on his chest. ”Don’t push your luck, Kenway.”

He grinned, running a hand through her hair. ”Too late for that.”

She didn’t argue, just settled closer, and Alaric figured that was as good a victory as any.

---

The cavern fell silent save for the faint hum of its ancient machinery, a steady counterpoint to the ragged breaths that had finally begun to slow.

Alaric and Kassandra lay sprawled across the floor, their bodies slick with sweat, limbs heavy with exhaustion.

For a while, neither moved, the air thick with the scent of their exertion and the lingering heat of their union.

Kassandra shifted slightly, her head still resting on Alaric’s chest, when her gaze drifted downward. She froze, then let out a husky laugh, her voice raw from hours of cries and gasps.

”Gods above, Alaric,” she muttered, her eyes locked on the unmistakable rise of his arousal, a column of intent stirring once more despite the marathon they’d already endured. ”You’re not human.”

Alaric grinned, a lazy, predatory flash of teeth. ”Never claimed to be.” His hand slid up her thigh, fingers digging into her flesh with renewed hunger. ”Ready for more?”

Her breath hitched, a spark reigniting in her dark eyes. ”You’ll break me,” she warned, but her tone was a challenge, her body already shifting closer.

”Try me,” he growled, pulling her atop him with a strength that belied the hours they’d already spent tangled together.

This was Round Two....

Kassandra straddled him, her thighs clamping around his hips as she took him in with a single, deliberate thrust.

The sensation ripped a moan from her throat, her head tipping back as she began to move hard, fast, relentless.

Alaric’s hands gripped her waist, guiding her, but she was a force unto herself, riding him with a wild abandon that sent shockwaves through them both. Her nails raked down his chest, leaving red trails, and he bucked up to meet her, matching her ferocity.

”Fuck, yes,” she gasped, her voice breaking as she pushed herself to the edge.

Alaric’s fingers found her clit, circling with ruthless precision, and she shattered, her scream echoing off the stone walls. He didn’t stop, thrusting up into her through her climax, drawing it out until she was trembling, incoherent.

Before she could recover, he flipped her onto her back, pinning her wrists above her head with one hand. His other hand hooked under her knee, lifting her leg high as he drove into her again, deeper, harder.

Kassandra’s eyes rolled back, her body arching off the floor as pleasure bordered on madness. ”Alaric... fuck... don’t stop,” she pleaded, her words slurring into a desperate chant.

He didn’t. He pounded into her with brutal rhythm, their sweat-slicked bodies slapping together. She came again, her cries jagged, and he followed, a roar tearing from his chest as he spilled into her.

Then round three came...

They barely paused. Alaric hauled her up, her legs unsteady, and pressed her against the cool stone wall.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, her legs locking around his waist as he thrust into her standing, the angle hitting new depths.

Kassandra’s head fell back against the wall, her mouth open in a silent scream as he fucked her senseless. Her hands clawed at his shoulders, his back, anywhere she could reach, and he growled her name, his stamina was a relentless force.

”More,” she demanded, voice wrecked, and he obliged, spinning her around to face the wall. She braced her hands against it, pushing back as he took her from behind, one hand tangled in her hair, pulling just enough to make her gasp.

The pace was punishing, her body shaking with every thrust, and she lost herself completely, climaxing again and again until her legs gave out.

Round four... then five... then six... until they could no longer count...

They collapsed to the floor, but Alaric wasn’t done. He pulled her onto his lap, her back to his chest, and entered her again, his hands roaming her body... teasing her breasts, her clit, driving her wild.

Kassandra was beyond words now, reduced to moans and whimpers, her mind fracturing under the onslaught of pleasure.

They switched positions... her on all fours, then him lifting her entirely, pinning her against the mattress they’d long since abandoned.

Time dissolved. Hours? Days? Neither knew, nor cared. They fucked until their bodies screamed for mercy, and still they pushed on, driven by a primal need neither could sate.

Kassandra came so many times she lost count, her voice hoarse, her body quaking with each release. Alaric matched her, his stamina inhuman, his own climaxes blending into a continuous haze of ecstasy.

At some point, they ended up sprawled across the cavern floor, Kassandra half-draped over him, both of them drenched in sweat, chests heaving.

The air was thick with their mingled scents, the hum of the cavern a distant drone beneath their labored breathing.

”How... how many times?” Kassandra rasped, her voice barely audible.

”Fuck if I know. Lost track after... ten? Twenty?” Alaric’s laugh was weak, breathless. He brushed a damp strand of hair from her face, his touch gentle despite the wreckage they’d made of each other.

She groaned, shifting closer despite the ache in every muscle. ”You’re a monster.”

”And you love it,” he murmured, kissing her forehead.

They didn’t move for a long while, too spent to care about the world beyond the cavern. How long they’d been at it, how many times they’d shattered together... it didn’t matter.

All that remained was the raw, unshakable bond forged in the fire of their passion, a connection that transcended time itself.

”One more round?”

”No! Maláka... let me sleep!”
