Chapter 799: Chapter 797: The Parents Were Kidnapped

This was also Xiao Yifeng’s first time seeing this woman cry. In the past, whenever he saw Lu Xueqing, she was always incredibly cheerful, carrying a bit of a domineering principal’s style. He had never thought that today she would become a vulnerable young woman.

”What exactly happened?”

Xiao Yifeng asked out of curiosity, very keen to know what had happened to make Lu Xueqing so heartbroken.

”My mom and dad had an accident!”

Lu Xueqing moved away from Xiao Yifeng’s body, sobbing as she spoke.

”Aren’t your uncle and aunt working at the national research institute? How could they have an accident?”

Xiao Yifeng’s expression became stunned.

”I don’t know, someone from an organization called Dragon Thorn just came and told me and grandpa that my parents had an accident, now both of them have been kidnapped, and nobody knows if they are alive or dead!”

”Xiao Yifeng, what should I do now? Will I never see my parents again?”

Lu Xueqing’s face was pale, and she spoke through the streaks of her tears. At this moment, she was no longer the strong and decisive university principal, but a young girl who had lost her parents and had no one to rely on.

”Don’t worry, you will definitely see your uncle and aunt again!”

Xiao Yifeng comforted her.

”Xueqing, pull yourself together, they will definitely be alright.”

At that moment, Elder Lu spoke up. Although he said this, his face also looked very grave, and he seemed to have aged considerably.

”Elder Lu, Xueqing, don’t panic, I’ll make a phone call first to understand the situation before discussing further.”

Xiao Yifeng spoke.

”Little Feng, can you really find out what’s going on? When I asked that Dragon Thorn member for details, they said it was confidential and couldn’t be disclosed!”

Elder Lu looked at Xiao Yifeng and said.

”Don’t worry, it’s nothing.”

Xiao Yifeng shook his head. It might be difficult to understand other matters, but since it was related to Dragon Thorn, he just had to ask his third uncle.

Xiao Yifeng dialed Xiao Han’s phone directly, and soon Xiao Han’s voice came through.

”Hello, Third Uncle!”

Xiao Yifeng said.

”Little Feng, what’s up? Why are you suddenly calling me?”

Xiao Han spoke in a light tone.

”Third Uncle, I heard that a couple surnamed Lu from the national research institute were kidnapped. What’s going on?”

Xiao Yifeng asked directly.

”Yes, that’s true. Do you know them?”

”Their daughter is my friend, so I want to understand the situation.”

Xiao Yifeng replied.

”The couple are expert professors at the institute and had recently developed an invention that could enhance military capabilities, originally meant to be reported to the higher-ups.”

”However, a traitor inside the institute intercepted their report and contacted the M-Country government, sending people to secretly kidnap the couple.”

By the time we discovered it, they had already left China. We are currently planning to send people to M-Country to see if they can be rescued.”

Xiao Han narrated.

”That’s the situation, huh? Then let me go!”

Xiao Yifeng said directly.

”You go to M-Country? No, that’s too dangerous. This is not within our own country but in M-Country. Trying to rescue someone there is very perilous, and you will be without any support.”

Xiao Han quickly responded.

”Third Uncle, don’t worry. Don’t you have faith in me? I’ve always been lucky; nothing will happen to me. Plus, I may be restricted at home, but abroad I can perform better without any danger.”

Xiao Yifeng said with a smile.

”Alright then, when the time comes, I’ll send people to assist you in M-Country and help you with the mission. Remember, if it’s really too dangerous, don’t take the risk. Your safety comes first. I don’t want anything to happen to you; otherwise, I’d feel guilty toward your father and mother!”

Xiao Han said solemnly.

”Don’t worry, I won’t have any problems.”

Xiao Yifeng hung up the phone after speaking.

”Alright, I understand the situation now. Uncle and Aunt are currently in M Country, and I will personally go there and bring them back.”

Xiao Yifeng said to Lu Xueqing and Elder Lu.

”M Country? Little Feng, won’t it be dangerous for you? If there’s any danger, forget it. I don’t want anything to happen to you because of Xueqing’s parents.”

Elder Lu said to Xiao Yifeng.

”That’s right, if...”

Lu Xueqing also began to speak, looking at Xiao Yifeng.

”Don’t worry, I will be fine.”

Xiao Yifeng said with a slight smile, and then reached out to wipe away the tears on Lu Xueqing’s face.

”As for you, you’re the dignified president of a university. Crying like this, if your students saw you, they would laugh at you. Relax a bit, it’ll be alright, I’m here.”

Xiao Yifeng said gently, and Lu Xueqing’s gaze towards him was somewhat dazed, her heart filled with a warm current and a deep sense of being moved.

”Thank you!”

Lu Xueqing said to Xiao Yifeng with great sincerity, her words carrying a special affection.

”No need to be so formal!”

Xiao Yifeng smiled lightly.

As night fell, at the villa in Haitang Garden, Xiao Yifeng told Ye Yaxin all about Lu Xueqing’s situation and his own plans to go to M Country.

”Xueqing’s parents are in trouble?”

Surprise flashed in Lu Xueqing’s eyes.

”You didn’t know?”

Xiao Yifeng asked.

”No, with such a big issue, why didn’t she tell me, opting instead to contact you first?”

Ye Yaxin’s eyes revealed a hint of suspicion as she looked at Xiao Yifeng.

”This...”

For a moment, Xiao Yifeng didn’t know how to explain.

Ye Yaxin didn’t dwell too much on these questions and said, ”It just so happens that I need to make a trip to M Country as well, so let’s go together.”

”You’re going to M Country, too? What for?”

Xiao Yifeng asked, a hint of confusion in his eyes.

”Forlin Group has just terminated a series of contracts previously signed with our Ye Corporation, causing significant losses and impact to the Ye Family. I contacted President Forlin but received no response, so I plan to go to the M-Country Forlin Group personally to inquire about the reasons.”

Ye Yaxin said.

”So that’s what happened!”

An unusual expression flashed in Xiao Yifeng’s eyes. He rose to his feet and went aside to call Foster, but nobody answered.

”Could this kid be in trouble?”

Xiao Yifeng’s eyes shimmered with light.

”Who were you calling?”

Ye Yaxin’s gaze followed Xiao Yifeng.

”Oh, it’s nothing. Since that’s the case, let’s go together. I can look after you on the way!”

Xiao Yifeng said indifferently.

”Mhm.”

Ye Yaxin nodded.

After dinner, Xiao Yifeng returned to his room. Little Xiuxiu immediately jumped onto his body. After devouring a few Blood Crystals, its body had indeed grown much larger, and its fur had become even more lustrous.

”Little Xiuxiu, I will be leaving tomorrow. You stay home and be good, alright?”

Xiao Yifeng instructed the Asura Beast, who was telepathically linked to him and naturally understood his words, expressing a reluctant demeanor.
