Daddy Always Gets Jealous

The man in the driver’s seat smiled, nodded, and started the car.

The car traveled a distance and stopped at a red light where several cars were lined up ahead.

The man in the driver’s seat deliberately drove, almost hitting the rear of the car in front, then slammed on the brakes and stopped. He turned to look at Jin Bo, who had been jolted forward, ”Mayor Jin, sorry, are you okay?”

Jin Bo, ”...”

The car came to a stop, and he leaned back on the rear seat, falling asleep, soon followed by the even sound of alcohol-induced snores.

The man in the driver’s seat gave a knowing look to the man sitting next to Jin Bo.

The man quietly lit some incense.

The car continued driving, stopping when it reached a mall.

A person from the driver’s seat got out and walked towards the mall.

The original driver was still in the driver’s seat. He watched his partner leave and then glanced at Jin Bo.

Throughout the journey, he should’ve slept soundly, never to wake again.

Driving, they arrived at the pre-arranged location, and sure enough, spotted the target Liu Si.

The man floored the pedal, maximizing the car’s speed, and drove straight toward Liu Si.

Liu Si was knocked down instantly; he ran over him with the car, then stopped and glanced at Jin Bo. In the car, he climbed from the driver’s seat to the back seat, taking a look at Jin Bo and pulling out a small bottle from his pocket. He unscrewed it with his gloved hand, ”Mayor Jin, my apologies. When you meet King Yama, remember, it wasn’t me who wanted to kill you; it was your assistant, Fang Zheng.”

Jin Bo lay there without a single movement.

Liu Si put the bottle cap in his pocket, pinched Jin Bo’s mouth open, and poured industrial alcohol into it, squeezing Jin Bo’s neck till he heard the glugging sound of swallowing, ”On your way.”

Precisely in the blind spot, he moved Jin Bo to the driver’s seat, sat in the passenger seat, fastened Jin Bo’s seatbelt, placed his hands on the steering wheel, leaned over, started the car, adjusted the gear, and placed Jin Bo’s foot on the accelerator.

The car straightened out, picking up speed rapidly.

The man in the passenger seat smoothly jumped out of the car wearing a hat, disappearing into the greenbelt, and called Fang Zheng, ”It’s all done.”

Fang Zheng, ”Good. Where are you? I’ll drive over to pick you up and take you to the airport.”

The man with the hat sent his location via phone.

Fang Zheng pinpointed the location and quickly arrived.

He stopped the car.

The man with the hat got in, removed his hat, and looked at Fang Zheng, ”Has the money been transferred?”

Fang Zheng looked at him, ”For safety, a check is more reliable.”

He opened the drawer in front of the car, took out a check, and handed it to the man.

The man glanced at the figure, placed it in his coat pocket, ”Where’s the passport, visa, and ticket?”

Fang Zheng, ”In the drawer in front of you, take it yourself.”

The man reached out and opened the drawer.

Fang Zheng picked up the gun he had placed on the seat and shot the man directly in the temple.

The man sat there, turned back, glared at Fang Zheng, and slowly slumped against the car door, dying with his eyes open.

Fang Zheng looked at him, raised his hand, and gently covered the man’s eyes with his fingers, ”You saw something you shouldn’t have seen.”

He drove straight out of Hong Kong.

Remembering that there was a cliff on the southern outskirts, driving off it would be fitting for him, and he went straight there.

But it wasn’t long before he suddenly heard police sirens blaring around.

One urging another, one following another, becoming more urgent, clearer and clearer.
